Squad null hu? The captain of that squad is Xinre. I have heard a thing or two about that squad." As for me," He said looking very proud. "I am the squad captain of squad Slithen. I bet you have heard of us."

They came to the training room, a long, padded gym with just about every type of training apparatus imaginable. "Of course you don't want to be famous. That would defy the whole puropse of being under cover. And you still didn't answar my first question: does you being part angel make you suceptible to influences not felt by humans? Or your other talents, for that matter." Eva kept walking to a thick metal door labeled "VR ROOM". She smiled nostalgically , noting the subtle changes in the shade of paint on the wall where it had been replaced after a very eventful training session. She paused with her hand on the door, hearing music and the sound of a helicopter taking off. Her smile widened, and took on its old wolfish quality. "This is the sim room. What you are about to see technically does not exist. But, I have to say, it is pretty damn close." She pulled the door open, revealing Brian's meticulously exicuted Vietnamese jungle.

"Oh I saw it on the squad board but there are barely members" She said as she kept eating. "But I guess that's because new people haven't joined,I bet it will get full once more do." she said this as she stopped eating and began to sketch something.

"No, I'm not influenced by things not human or anything. That is what my training has been for so far, so as to remove that risk factor." *He watches as she opens the door and notices the change from building to jungle* "Nice, don't worry, I've used a environment simulator before, I know how they work and how anything in it can still kill you."

Brian grinned. He was maybe not that much of a fighter, but more of a maker. And as far as he knew, he had made it good. The actual zone of the 500 square feet room remained and fully virtualised, so that all visitors basically shared the same experience. all figures where digitally calculated, and rendered by the nanites, nanometer big robots, that could practically form everything as long as they had a blueprint and a superpowered powerline. the calculated area was streched out over the whole mekong delta, basically just a random assortment of digitallised plants , hoping to fill the areal photos. basically, the same approach as taking photos of the washington memorial, spitting on the ground, looking if it looks anything like it and then spitting some more.
But the beach.... the beach was his masterwork. the nanites had rendered some wastes he had found in the back into fine white sand, and a passable immitation of the native vietnamese soil. Basically, this was a method to dramatically reduce the calculation power needed, but it also felt really good.
Under the sand were some heating coils, and the sand had the temperature of just right. Little torches made out of bamboo and oil where stuck in the sand, and the soldiers basically had some big bonfires made out of drywood and some bamboo. Of course, nothing of this was real. heck, the fires didn't even smell like drywood fires, they smelled like regular wood fires, because he had only been able to scan the smell of regular fires he had made in the back of the mishaps facility, where he had burned his thumb three times with the lighter.
He sighed, and leaned back into the arms of Miko. Miko was also a part of the simulation, but one of the better ones.
he perhaps did not know how vietnam felt, because he had physically never been there, but he knew how a nice girl should feel. At least in general. Well, Miko was modelled after a girl he had discovered on his fathers tapes. He grinned, and closed his eyes. Oh, how wonderfully good and real it felt when a simulated girl that you taught how to massage a back massaged yourself the back exactly the way you liked it.....
Lazily, he opened an other can of mountain dew, and lazily looked on the scenery. The cans and the hamburgers had also been great. He had gotten the idea after the librarian had served himself a totally burned part of pigsnout. Now, the food came directly from the caffeteria into the backdoor of the training room, where it was stored in a fridge untill further notice. He grinned, and opened the can of mountain dew. It had been a long time since they had sold mountain dew in cans, but he was pretty much sure that they did not have it in nam. He sighed, and enjoyed the feeling. The hands of a nice tallented girl that managed to do exactly what it was told, the taste of mountain dew, and he big fat cigar that hung out of his mouth, and that he had taken from the storage in the officers sector. He had even payed for it.
He grunted lazily as Miko stopped her work.
"Somebody is coming", she said, "Officer Eva and group. activate communications?"
Brian sighed.
"Lz eva.thy -l -f-45 $5 fg/tty../kill f9"
after a few seconds, he grunted, and stood up. he had forgotten that he had switched even his vocal programming mode to spoken command rather then pure and undilluted unix code. he had become so terribly lazy.
"system, this is tech. Accept new group as users, save photos and account data in guest directory. Accept Captain Eva as guestadmin, set me and Librarian as superuseradmins for this simulation. Start the california surferboys simulation, and then let them in. Oh, and put pants or a ghilie suit on the Librarian if he has set his status to busy with the modells Diane Hunter, Barbara Cameron, Marilyn Monroe, Terry Ryan and Janet Pilgrim. I know he must be doing something funny then again. I mean, why did he insist that a helicopter transporting women ran out of fuel near the neach? And he wanted to play the fuelmaster? I mean, come on, even I manage to see trhat that is a bit too much for a session in group psychology or ape rights"

The Librarian had been in a good bit of simulation. He had managed to smuggle a bottle of this jack daniels stuff in, and some Vodka, and some more, only to cover up that all the simulation, except the women, smelled very wrong. It just smelled like s**t, but now,he did not matter. That nice girl had just called him her "Hairy hero", and he had already been out of that ghilie suit.....
He fell back and landed two meter deeper in hot sand. The fall simply pressed the air out of his lungs, and he took five to come to senses.
Which was not that easy, because now, his lowered tolerance to alcohol showed. He lay on the ground, held onto it with both hands, and it seemed to still spin. OOh s**t, he though.

Brian heard the clash, and realised that the change of status by him must have ended the libtrarians current simulation. He walked over, Miko following him in her flowery dress. As he saw the Librarian, he was razther stunned how bad he looked. On fact, he stunk like he had been bathing in drunken hobos.
"Dude, you allright? How many fingers do I hold up?"
The librarian just weakly grinned, and licked a space nearly 14 centimeters left of Brians had. Brian was releaved.
"heck, boy, you just drunk. I thought you might have had some other stuff. Listen, I gonna put you in your own bubble of nanites on the end of the playfield, over the controll booth. We are getting visited, so just keep quiet for a bit. "
The librarian simply grabbed the ghilie suit he was now wearing, wrapped himself in it, and was gone.
Brian walked back, while talking to the computer.
"Ok, Miko, I want to have the librarian stored in a bubble untill he wants to come out. He and the other visitors are to be kept away from each other. So, simply a mantle of nanites around him, and then store him in space 09, over the command booth. "
Brian stretched himself, and looked down. His 12-year old body looked slightly out off place amidst all of these strong, very manly men. well, at least he was not fat, and he had a bit of a tan. Of course, he was still a damned chicken breast, but what the heck.
He checked the boots and the pants he wore. Black leather boots, marines equipment, like the ones his daddy used to have, combined with marine green multi pocket pants. he grinned, and grabbed the helmet he had still in the simulation as a leftover from the early minutes, where he had tried to get into the vietnam feeling by designing the whole stuff. He placed it over his head, grabbed his laptop, which looked a bit out of place in its current environment, and just turned around as the door of a landing helicopter opened, and the misshaps gang was visible. He smiled, and walked towards them, as they had mastered the difficulties of crawling out of a still moving helicopter.
"Captain Eva and crew, I suppose, ready to meet Charly. OOh, the lady behind me is Miko, my temporary assistant. The librarian is temporarily unavailable, but it is nothing serious. So, what can I do for you? Party ground, combat training, room introduction, computer training?"
PostPosted: Sat Nov 10, 2007 5:26 pm

"Well if you don't mind, I'm gonna go that way and change out of this heavy stuff. A Hoody does not belong in the even a simulation of the Vietnam jungle, and it is hot as hell." *He walks over to a cluster of trees and changes his Hoody and cameo pants to a pair of jungle cameo shorts and a tank top* "Well, thats better. So, if we do fight then what are we fighting, gooks? Oh and nice job by the way, the last place I was at had a better one but still, not even they could have made this so well with nanites."

"It's possible for two nanite bubbles to bring two people into the same simulation, right? I have some...ah...puzzles lined up for my two new rookies and they require teamwork." Eva took a second look around the lush jungle simulation, but didn't say anything. Though she hadn't served in Vietnam, she had worked with loads of people who had. The scenery was so exactly like their descriptions, but the action...well, that was a little different. The whole effect was a little odd, she thought. "I can run the sims myself from the control booth. I've started the arduous process of actually learning to talk to computers. Can't be constantly shown up by kid geniuses, can I? Looks bad in front of the impressionable new recruits." Her sarcastic grin, however, betrayed the fact that she would, no matter how much study she put in, never be good with technology the way Tech was. Give her fifteen minutes and she'd have the VCR from Hell up and running with the right time on the little digital clock and everything. Ask her to program anything interesting though, and she'd be lost every time. She'd be able to manage the simulation though, since the system was set up to allow the most braindead of operatives to use it effectively. She would literally have to try to mess it up.

Brian grinned, and patted the captain against her knee.
"Well, I am happy that you start to gain a healthy interest in computers and the VR, possibly because of my wide selection of fully operational computer generated combat partners to root around with, but I am kind of sorry, letting you do that directly would interfer with my current job."
well, he thought, and it would endanger you in getting puked on and possibly groped by a ratarsed Orangutan. Plus, it would leave me out of the picture...
"So, basically, why not extend the nanite bubble over the whole room, I put in my new ultrarealistic combar modells, and we let your newbies run wild?
Come on, do me the favour and let me help you..... I am sooooo annoyed in here. you see miko? 234.000 hairs, each a strain of 20 nanites thickness, each individually rendered. same level of detailledness goes for the rest of the guys and gals in the room. Heck, Most of the time, I just do the stuff for me and the Librarian, but that is not fun. I need people to actually admire my work and give my ego the proverbial b*****b.
Come on. we will do that stuff in spectrator mode with your new laptop. I promise you, you will like it..... Just tell me what you need, and I will make it happen. "
He turned to the two other recruits. With a bit of dislike, he saw that little fleacatcher on the guys shirt again.
"So, guys, what you see is totally unreal, except the burgers, and the stacks of mountain dew. Well, you can totally grab yourself a burger and something to drink, because the food is directly imported from the caffeteria. If you want, you can try to interact with the folks a bit. they are solid constructs, formed to have as much realism as possible. I suppose you could also remove the clothes, and try to have some fun, but since I have no idea how old you guys are, I have left the advanced realism turned off. "
He turned around to face captain Eva again. Stretching one hand out, he wiggled it a bit, and the moon became a bit bigger.
"wanna go for a little walk out of the direct reach ? you tell me what you have in mind, you just stay with your group as some kind of judge, and I will see the best I can do to make the whole thing happening. you know, me taking on the role of the support Game master, if you like it that way. Plus, if they loose their respect for you, they know they get in trouble. If they loose my respect, they will noit know it, but will be in a hell of a lot of trouble. Come on, captain, just you, me and Miko..."
He nodded at his assistant construct, which immediatelly rose from her seat in the sand and followed two steps after him.
"I even let you see what I plan on doing first, ok?"

Sokato thought to himself as he sat at the table. 'So maybe this eight year old knows more about the squad then I thought. It was embarrassing not having the amount of man power as the other squads. But my squad has the best because the bad tend to not stay around for too long.'

"So you did your research did you? Yes, we are currently short a member or three but we have gone through a mission or two with out the full squad member number." Sokato said in reference to the time he and Anima escorted the train through the desert. Sokato closes his eyes and takes off his sunglasses. He cleans them with a micro fiber cloth he keeps in his pocket then puts the sunglasses back on.

Completely without anything to say to her captain she simply nodded and turned to look at Erald. Sliding her fingers around the tops of her gloves to fit them snugly in place, she began to really take in the detail around her.
"Well. This is absolutely amazeing. I have seen simulations before, quite advanced, at least to their thinking. They haven't seen anything like this though.", she said softly to noone in particular. Straightening her shoulders she raised an eyebrow at the drinks and food, suppressing a laugh at the tech wiz.
"Well, I guess it is me and you then Erald. In this,... simulation. I wonder, if they will have us fighting troops, animals, or some other things altogether. Hopefully not all at once though...," she joked. Though, to herself she sort of wondered if the tech wiz really would, seeing as he didn't seem to like her partner too well. Or his furry little friend.

Hrisskar, making his way to the cafeteria, stopped by at his room, thinking. He had left the VR Room when Brian (or Brain, as he liked to think of him), had entered, after watching him for a while. THe kid was.. well, a genius. To think he had created all of that, and programmed it all, was staggering. He should be able to scan in a weapon, with little trouble, right?

Opening the door to his room, he stepping in, fumbling for the light switch, and switching it on. The stark white light from the strip lighting swept across the room. Walking over to his bed, he bent down and dragged a military-style ammo chest out from underneath it. Unlocking the retro-fitted lock and flipping the heavy metal clasps that held the lid shut, he opened it and pulled out his rifle. A Dragunov SVD, still looking as new as it did the day he had 'liberated' it from his Army superior, almost twenty years ago. He grinned, looking down the PSO-1 scope mounted on the Dragunov. It still felt the same as it did all those years ago too.

Resting the rifle against the bed, he also took out a belt with an ammo pouch. He looked inside, making sure he had enough of the 7.62x54R cartidges, in case they were needed for scanning.

Satisfied, Hrisskar fastened down the chest, and pushed it back under the bed. Straightening up, he winced, as the old shrapnel wound in his knee flared up again. When it had passed, he picked up the high powered sniper, and loosed the strap, ready to carry on his back. Fastening the ammo belt to his waist, he exited the room, remembering to switch off the light, and then started to head back to the VR Room.

"Alright then, let's stroll on." As they walked, Eva explained the scenarios she'd worked out for Phalanx' two newest members. The first was just a run-of-the mill warmup drill, a fixed number of thugs to be dispatched with two high-level fighters hidden in the mix. The second was the same situation that she'd been trying to get off the ground when she and Tech had had their rather eventful meeting. The third was new, and involved four men and a monster. She was fairly proud of that one, and really hoped that they could get through the first two easily. As they came back to the barbecue, she was just wrapping up the explanation of the last secenario: "If you could get them to look like Albert Einstein, Jesse Owens, Bruce Lee, and Voldemort respectively, that would be fantastic."

((I'm not posting the full details here yet. That would spoil all the fun.))

" You know you just have to knock on my office door not the section door " Jason yelled. Jason waiting for Raiklaos to come in.

(( EDIT: It was until I came back and Xinny said to start my squad off from scratch again.))
