Xol's aura fizzled and snapped into nothing with a loud, thunder like crack that dispersed another powerful concussive wave of hard air. He slumped to his knees with his gauntlets in his lap, now crimson eyes looking down at them. "Am I truly following the right path?" He asked, to himself mostly, before letting his exhausted body fall backwards into the crater he made from the chunk of earth he tore out.

His mind would drift in and out of consciousness for the night. Horrid nightmares of past events wracking through his already tormented mind.

*KB was crouched on a treebranch not far from Xol. The "Man" had been easy to track, under the circumstances.KB sat still, watching him for awhile. After a few moments he nodded to himself and vanished.Leaving the crickets to sing in peace.*

Kuro Okami

Kuro woke suddenly. She sighed, another nightmare. She jumped from her tree, at least she was well rested. She yawned and made her way through the forest. Charred earth and forest met her nose. She gaze upon to destroyed forest and frowned.

Her eyes then focused on a slumped body, laying in a crater. Upon closer inspection she realized that it was Xol. She shivered, it was getting cold. She frowned slightly at Xol, his aura was one of torment.

She tugged a blanket from her pack. It was not one of the best blankets, but the only one that she had. It was wool, it would keep him warm. Carefully, she lowered the blanket over him. She spoke a soft incantation, one that should bring peace to the mind and let him sleep soundly.

Her mind went groggy and she sighed. Maybe she hadn't got so much sleep after all. Her stomach growled angrily. She was not in good health, no sleep and no food for 5 days can do that to you. She sighed and watched Xol sleep for a moment.

Well not like there was anything else to do. She frowned and shivered, then yawned. She curled up on the ground a few feet away from Xol.

Maybe she could get some more sleep. She closed her eyes and let herself slip into darkness.

*Once again Hashii walks through the forest quietly, but with much grace, almost as if floating, but not quite. Her headphones dangle around her neck as a gental breeze ruffles her cloths a bit, her hair blowing back a little. Her ears flicker every now and then as her tail swishes from side to side a little bit, though she gazes up at the night sky. She smiles a little and closes her eyes, as the glow from the moon peeks through the trees and lands softly on her face. She feels very relaxed, just clearing out her thoughts with no one around, just the quiet forest, whispering softly to herselft.* It's so beautiful tonight... ^ ^

She fallowed the forest path, making her way to the spot where she had seen Irvine last. She could hardly since him now... his scent was gone and the dampness of the morning air dampened any scent of him that was left. But thank god, It hadn't rained in days... his footsteps were still lightly visible. She fallowed his trail until she came upon a break. She found herself standing by the edge of a waterfall and stream. "Wonderful..." She hissed and looked for any clue to where he could have gone. Her ears flickered as she listened closely, something wasn't right... something was hidden from her view and she was baffled... she couldn't find it.

She looked towards the waterfall and lifted her palm towards it. The water wavered as her eyes turned black; it steamed for a moment as the water where she was directing her hand heated. After a moment she could see right into the void of the cave that was hidden. The waterfall was evaporating almost instantly in the small place where she was directing her hand. The edges of her lips curved into a small smirk as she walked through the small gate she had created into the cave.

She allowed her hand to drop, her eyes fluttering back to gold, as her eyes flickered in the dimmed area, her ears turning flat as she looked around, hoping he hadn't been there. She walked in slightly and she felt a small crunching under her heal like she had stepped on glass. She bent down and picked up a small fracture of the bottom half of a vile and growled lightly. The scent of the bottle was odd... it had contained blood at one time... but it was black and dark... much like her own. She stood as her eyes brushed over it... inspecting it and wondering why some one could have needed such a thick sample. She thought for a moment and wondered if it was just something Irvine had drank, but she doubted he would have used a vile to drink from

Diana Balkar

PostPosted: Tue Dec 14, 2004 2:21 pm

Diana was sitting in an over grown patch of grass, plucking single blades out of the ground and flicking them away. "Alone...always so alone." Sniffling back a flood of tears she vigorously scrubbed at her eyes with the sleeve of her shirt. All she wanted, all she needed, was to find him! Then everything would be better, her mother said it would. It had almost been 18 years since she had last seen her mother, but her image was still fresh in her mind. The gentle lullaby she use to sing would still lull her to sleep. "Why am I always alone?! Mommy...?" Huddling in on herself she curled up with her knees against her chest. How long since she had called her mommy? She couldn't remember! Every since she could remember it was always mother, why? Because it was propper and she demanded respect!! It didn't matter now...she was afraid...she was alone. Tears ran down her cheek, and she did nothing to stop them. Her mother never cried, she was always such a strong woman. She would always tell Diana that she was way stronger then she was, and that she could do anything with that power! Though Diana never could tap into this great power!

Xol oppened his right eye a crack to see light streaming down from the canopy of trees above him. Hadn't he destroyed everything around him last night? There must be some sort of revitalizing spell...he paused and groaned, getting to his feet as a blanket fell off of him. "What the deuce..." Came his oddly raspy voice, he must've lost control again last night.

He bent over the picked up the blanket, walking out of the crater and spotting Kuro laying down a few feet away from it's edge. With a sigh, he walked over the placed the blanket on her, dissapearing into a plume of black mist.

-Raven walked from the cave, dropping the shard of glass at her feet as she looked up towards the Crying girl past the trees. She could see Xol and she basically guessed he was pestering her. She could hardly believe it when he dropped the blanket over her shoulders. She giggled to herself and rolled her eyes as she made her way back to BC down the path. Her ears flickered slightly, her eyes turning to their corners as she past the girl... She was speaking of her mother? how old was she anyway? and she was speaking like a lost girl...

Kuro woke, her eyes blinking to ajust to the harsh sunlight. She was warm and she smiled as she snuggled down into the blanket more.

Wait. . .blanket?

She shot up and looked around and didn't find Xol in sight, she sniffed at the blanket, his scent wasn't very old. Kuro cocked her head in confusion. She shrugged and started to fold the blanket.

She sighed as her stomach growled angrily. Getting to her feet she placed the blanket back in her pack, then shot off into the forest.

She wondered how the forest had regenerated itself so quickly. She shrugged, for the second time that day, and decided not to think on it. She smiled, it was time to hunt.

*She continuse walking through the forest with a smile on her face and her eyes closed, not sure where she's going. She stops humming and begins to sing softly the song 'Boulevard Of Broken Dreams' by Green Day. She feels relaxed and doesn't seem to have a care it the world, as the moonlight fall gentally on her face.*

Kuro sighed as she walked through the forest. She stayed in shadow mostly, instincts like hiding were becoming second nature to her. She wondered what she would do now, Obake was somewhere unknown to her.

She smiled sadly as her hand went to the bite mark along her neck. Maybe once everything settle down-

She cut off her thinking when she heard a twig snap behind her. She growled low in her throat, a threatening growl.

"Kuro. . .we meet again." an eerie voice whispered. The voice was male, cold, calculated. She recognized it immediatly.

"What are you doing here?" She snarled, baring her fangs.

"Now, now, now. . .is that anyway to treat an old friend?" a figure was visible now, but what drew you was the gleaming bright blue eyes.

"Old friend my a**. . ." She hissed out, her hand going to the hilt of her sword. "What do you want?" The figure chuckled, Kuro shivered.

"Why you, of course." His lips curled back into a creepy smile. The figure moved and in a moment, had his hand around her throat.

Anyone else would call him beautiful, but for those who knew him were always repulsed. His ears were pointed, he was tall almost 6'4'', his feature chiseld to perfection. His hair was long and silver, it gleamed brightly. He was smiling maliciously.

Kuro cried out as claws peirced her throat.

Kuro went limp in his grasp and whimpered, much like a puppy that had been kicked.

"You've been learning Kuro. Obake has taught you well, I guess he's learned a thing or two from me." He laughed.

Kuro's eyes started to glow and her aura became very angry. Her gaze snapped to his.

"Obake is more of a man than you'll ever be. . .Slayer." She spat the name and lashed out at him, her sword peircing through his gut. "Leave. . ."

Slayer didn't give off a show of pain, but winced inwardy. He knew he would have to heal. He dropped her in a crumpled heap and growled.

"I'll be back Kuro, and next time I'll get what I want." He whispered stoically.

Kuro watched after him, her glare intense as she watched him disapear. She then dropped to the ground losing conciousness.
