Kasiya gave a cry as Hiro yelped out in pain. He slowly got to his feet, trembling slightly, but turned and growled at the Machamp fiercely. He turned his head slightly and gave a sharp bark at Ariel, who returned it with a trilling sound. She took a few steps forward, her eyes glowing a bright blue, sparkling like pools of enchanted water. Hiro, in turn, used his speed to assume a safe position, and he raised his head and howled at the sky - a long, mournful sound. A ring of orange light surrounded him for a second before it faded, appearing again around Ariel. Her eyes narrowed, and she gave a cry. The ground began to rumble, and a split second later, an enormous wave of water rose up from behind her. It moved right through her before it crashed down on the two opposing Pokemon, who'd been watching, their eyes wide. Unbeknownst to Kasiya, Armaldo was part Rock-type, and he suffered massive damage from the churning waters that swallowed him up whole. Machamp wasn't faring any better, its four arms flailing around in the water helplessly as it struggled to free itself.

Then, as quickly as it had came, the tsunami vanished, leaving in its wake two drenched Pokemon, and a whole host of very stunned bikers. Quite amazingly, both Pokemon were able to get back to their feet, although neither of them looked like they could take much more. Simon managed to shake off the majority of his shock, and called some garbled command to his Machamp. It gave an angry roar before it charged Ariel, and pummeled her with its four fists. The Vaporeon cried out, managing to fend off her attacker, having suffered the effects of a powerful Revenge tactic. The Armaldo, still quite shaken from the effects of the Surf, fired a rather weak Water Gun at the Arcanine, who shrugged it off effortlessly. It certainly looked like Kasiya's Pokemon had the situation under control.

Being a theatrical person as himself, the boy blew an over the top kiss at his new 'girlfriend'. (Truth be told, he wasn't sure what to address her as. This was one thing that kept him up the previous night.) "A little manual labor never hurt anyone." Mike said with a smile as he hiked up his pants to prevent them from getting too dirty. Reaching for the shovel, he had it snagged from him by Portabello, who waived his trainer off with his paw.

Master, let me handle this task. He began to talk off holding the tool in his mouth like an oversized spoon. You may go converse with your mate.

He blushed at the word 'mate' his friend had used to describe Flannery. He gently took the shovel from Portabello, shaking his head. "No thank you. You've done enough work for me, it's my turn." The two began to walk over to a rather sizable hole, Mike waving at one of the Hikers he'd met before. The Breloom bowed as his usual gentlemen-like self, much to the confusion of the large man. "And stop calling me master."

As you wish, master. The Pokemon added with a near smirk.

((Bills house was crazy huge way back in the begging of the anime.))

Shadow pulled himself back into the pokeball after the oddish had crept off. "Man he is weird. I think his name will fit him well once he evolves." Mag noted as he moved onward to Bill's precipice estate. The rest of the walk was quite uneventful and he moved up to the door and gave the doorbell a ring.

((Sure))
"Okay," Miharu said, without really thinking. "Go where?" She glanced in the general direction of the gym, standing on tiptoe to see out the window of the Pokemon Center. "Maybe we could go out and get a bit of training in?" she suggested, as Aska climbed up her arm and perched herself on the girl's shoulder, cooing gently. "It's a nice day, we shouldn't waste it."

The bell rang very loudly in the quiet of the area. No answer came at first. Deciding to try again Mag lifted his hand to the doorbell and then he heard a faint voice saying something that sounded like "come on inside." So he tested the door and it was open.

Moving into the hall he continued to the next room. There he saw Bill sitting at his computer looking into a fast scrolling screen apparently looking for something.

"Alright let's go. If we get moving now we should be there in about a day or so..." He spoke as he looked at the map, plotting out differnt routs and and detours that might be an interesting thing to see. As he followed rout 32 on the map he came to a stop as it ended before Azalea Town. "Hmm... It appears as though we have a detour, the Union Cave..."

Mike began filling the rather large tunnel that Nitro had dug the night before, wiping a little sweat off the top of his forehead. To be honest, he felt a little flimsy being surrounded by all these burly men who were doing the work twice as hard and twice as fast as he was. One particular man, the Hiker with the large gut came over and slapped him on the back, practically realigning his spinal cord.

"You have grown taller, but you still need to eat if you want to do heavy lifting." He gave a deep chested laugh, with a voice that reminded the boy of his Steelix, as Mike squirmed under the weight of the smack. "Remember Machamps don-"

"Machamps don't get that big eating Pecha berries." The trainer interrupted in a monotone, slightly annoyed voice. He'd heard that many times.

Portabello raised an eyebrow at the bizarre statement. I eat Pecha berries all the time and I bet I could juggle this man.
The Hiker gave the Breloom an odd look.

"You can talk?" He asked, kneeling down to the Pokemon's level.

The leafy fighter let out a sigh. Yes I can talk, and I don't see the relevance in your 'advice'. Personally I think it's a farce, and upsetting the master. Portabello wore an annoyed look, stealing a glance at Flannery. All he wants to do is help out his mate, and your delusions are impeding his objective.

"She's not my mate yet!" He practically yelled. The boy slapped his mouth shut, his face igniting in embarrassment. The Gym fell silent. Feeling the stares and gazes of the entire staff, Mike let out a forced laugh, trying to hide his reddened face. "Hehe, Pokemon, aren't they cute?" He returned his Breloom, turning to continue his work without a word.

The Hiker looked at Mike, then at Flannery, shrugging. "What a weird bunch..." He mumbled as he walked away.

"Union Cave? I've never been in a cave before. Will it really get us to Azalea Town faster?" Ky asked. He looked at the map while Crenu held it, noticing that it did look like a shortcut. "Sounds fine with me. I wonder what kind of Pokemon live there?" He also thought about what a cave might be like. He imagined it to be cold and wet, with stalactites and other neat rock formations he learned in school.

Swablu chirped in pleasure, swinging her little white talons like a little child as the vines lifted her up, up, up, closer to that delightful smell. Once again, she settled down on the Ivysaur's head like a cottony hat, in an easily found state of bliss.

"Yeah, you're right," M.A. murmured, brightening up considerably. Inside, her mind raced back and forth, though, between total confidence and doubt; first, she couldn't hardly imagine Kasiya losing to any chump, even if she hadn't known for very long, but then there were those 'what ifs'. Like what if they were playing dirty? Who knew? Mary-Anne frowned at herself for worrying -- how ridiculous she was being! Kasiya would be totally fine. Yeah, definately. And Mitsu would know too, having known the former far longer than she had.

Tearing her mind and eyes from that direction, she smiled genially at the invitation. "I'd love to come," she said, already beginning to imagine this beach party. She'd never been to one before, but games, races, battles, and food sounded perfectly peachy. And Michael had told her long ago that Slateport had a beautiful beach. . . And the ocean! She'll see the ocean for the first time, too. As Violet released her Pokemon, M.A. no longer felt total awe, only grinning in admiration -- not to say that her Pokemon weren't as marvelous as any of Mitsu's or Kasiya's, but the brunette was getting used to seeing powerful upon powerful Pokemon. You could only be drowned in wonderment so many times a day, after all. Daemyn was still unaffected by her feet, simply looking on nonchalantly -- he didn't really care what was going on, so long as 'his girl' was there.

Keegan looked around the gym, not at all surprised to see it had remained the same. The air was still thick with the heavy aroma of flowers, and he couldn't help but remember his last trip in here. He'd witnessed quite an epic battle, which had seemed even moreso because the two trainers had known one another. He was also reminded of his inspiration to pick up the Sludge Bomb TM for Loki, who now made wonderful use of it. "So lead the way," he said, giving Dante a nudge in the back, keeping his voice hushed.

Dante just gave him a little glare. "Fine then I will." He paused looking around the gym some trying to spot the right path to the gym leader. "I just dont want to battle any trainers on the way to Erika is all." He said. Seeing no way around the trainers unless he went over flower planters he shrugged and decided to go with that option. Walking over to the nearest one he carefully hoped over it making sure that Levi and Meowth didn't fall off, though the cat pokemon did dig his claws into his shoulder at the jump. Dante was feeling pretty smug about skipping a trainer or two that were in the gym that he wasn't paying that much attention and accidently walked into a different trainer.

"Hey watch were you are going!" The beauty said angrily as she recovered. "Oh! Your here to challange Erika arn't you! Well you can't do that with out a pokemon battle so get ready!" She said as she took out a pokeball and looked across at Dante determinedly.

Dante himself just sighed feeling misserable. He really didn't want a battle, 'Oh well to late for that.' He thought as he brought out Kenny's pokeball. He hadn't planned on using the Ghost pokemon in the first place. "How about a one on one battle then?" He asked.

"Sounds good to me." The beauty said. "Gooooo Tangela!" She said as she tossed out her pokeball. A green plant type pokemon came out. It was wearing weird red shoes.

Upon seeing the viney pokemon Dante groaned. For some reason Tangela's always gave him the creeps. Tossing out Kenny's pokeball the small ghost pokemon appeared in a flash as well. He looked around somewhat confused seeing as this would be his very first trainer battle.

The Steelix, having taken an extreme amount of damage but dealing a great deal as well, finally fell. It didn't matter how strong a Pokemon was; if it was as outnumbered as it was, it would constantly have to attack all of its opponents as well as not get harmed from them.

Maorde held up a Pokeball, and recalled the Steel-type Pokemon. "You're all getting weaker, and it's just a matter of time before you fall." He sneered a little bit, with a dark look in his eyes. Snatching another Pokeball from his belt, he flung it in front of him.

Metagross looked over to Kilik, and the Weezing beside him. He grinned, and loosed a Psychic attack upon the Pokemon.

Mai watched the Rocket Boss until he turned a corner and was out of sight, and sighed. "As you wish, Sir." She quietly slipped back into her room, changed into her usual attire and began to prepare for her new assignment. As she ran a brush through her hair, she watched herself in the mirror, trying to come up with the best way to bring Kilik back to the base. At that point, she turned the screen back on to see the situation, just in time to see the coverage showing the great Steelix fall. The cruel trainer hastily recalled it, then quickly sent out another Pokemon, a Metagross.

"This isn't going to end well," she sighed, slamming the brush down on the counter. She made sure she had her full team of six in place, and made her way towards the roof. A small part of her was fearful; if that man attacking Saffron really was the famed madman, Maorde Menskr, but she shoved it aside. Giovanni wouldn't send her to her death, would he? Surely he cared for her more than that. Her lips were set in a firm, straight line as she released the new Pokemon her boss had given her yesterday. A proud, powerful Aerodactyl stood before her, still looking a little bit depressed. She'd researched the Pokemon's origins early this morning, as well as tested out his abilities. He truly was a remarkable Pokemon - fast and strong, although the name that had been bestowed upon him was rather, interesting, to say the least. "Your last mistress took very good care of you," the newly appointed Admin-Officer said, gently stroking the Pokemon's neck, "and promise to do the very same in her stead." At her words, Giggles gave a bit of a whine, and lowered himself so that Mai could climb up onto his back. "I trust you know where Saffron City is?" she asked him. Giggles replied by screeching loudly, and with a powerful flap of his wings, they were airborne, flying much faster than she ever did with Sirrus, her Flygon. "Kilik better appreciate what we're doing for him," Mai muttered, shaking her head. "That is, if he's still alive when we get there..."
