Arrow walks in slowly, not actually having ever been in Fox's house. After walking in a few paces, he turns and looks at Fox. His eyes are red and puffy, like he'd been crying or something. Maybe Wind had meant alot more to Fox than the older Tayledras had let on. Without thinking, Arrow walks over to Fox and wraps his arms around the smaller man. He knew that the older man needed it, although he also knew that Fox wouldn't ask.

Snowfox's eyes open wide a first, since he is rather shocked at the gesture. It doesn't take long for him to just accept it and embrace Arrow back, taking in the comfort that the other man is offering.
He doesn't say anything yet, and he doesn't really cry, since he was mostly done that before, and isn't overly comfortable around the nightscout, he just lets himself be hugged.

Arrow decides that if he doesn't speak first, then neither of them will speak at all. "It was quite a shock, seeing Wind with that guy." he says gently. "Truth be told, I would have rathered lose him to you." he says, continuing to hold Fox gently. Fortunately, all romantic thoughts of the mage seem to have taken a vacation and Arrow truly can concentrate on just being Fox's friend.

"I-i feel the same way. I mean, at least it wouldn't have been so... so out of no where, right? If he'd chosen one of us, sure it would have been bad for the other, but at least we were a little more prepared for that. But some guy we don't know at all, and LIFEBONDED-" Fox chokes up a little, almost starting to cry again, but not letting himself since he was still a little wary of Arrow. He doesn't make any effort to finish what he had been saying though.

Arrow holds Fox tighter. "I know. Where does that little bard get off anyway? He barely even knows Wind. We've been here forever. We really care for him... All's he's got is a lifebond. Somehow it seems a little unfair, you know?" he says. He resists the urge to tangle his hand in Fox's long silken hair. "Just seems a little unfair...." he repeats.

"unfair but... there's not really anything to do against a lifebond. I mean... I'm not angry at Wind, or really the bard either. I meabn... in a way I'm happy for Wind, it's almost weird seeing him so happy. I'm just being sorry for myself, and it's dispicable."

"No." Arrow says gently, letting go of the mage to truly look at him. Fox is looking away though, and Arrow can't get a glimpse of his eyes. Pale blue eyes that haunt his dreams... "There's nothing wrong with the way you're feeling. You love Wind. I did too..." he says it in past tense, because right now he's fairly sure that the love he had had for Wind had begun to fade as the time went on and Wind showed no hint of returning the feelings. Instead, his feelings for Fox had intensified. He puts a hand on Fox's cheek so that he can try to redirect Fox's gaze. It doesn't work, those eyes... those wonderfully deep eyes continue to look another way.

"Whatever I feel for him doesn't even matter now, I feel cheated, but it's not like he was ever mine in the first place." Fox replies bitterly, his eyes tearing up against his will, but he's still not letting his tears fall freely.

Arrow is at a loss for what to say. He doesn't know what Fox is expecting. He only knows that he doesn't want to call Flower just yet. He wants to make sure that Fox is ok... "Fox?" he asks.

"What?" Fox asks, probably more harshly than he'd meant it, but he doesn't seem to be in very good control of his emotions at the moment anyways. He half-glares up at Arrow, although it's not overly intimidating, what with the unshed tears and all, but at least it doesn't seem like he's given up or anything.

The eyes are looking at him. Darker than usual, because of the unshed tears. For a few moments Arrow is speechless... Fox's eyes ten to do that to him. Arrow winces back from the harsh tone. "I just need to know that you'll be ok. I don't expect you to be ok now, or even that you want to see Wind, but I need to know that you will be ok." he says as gently as he can.

"Of course I'll be ok, eventually. I just need time to get over it..." Snowfox blinks, then looks at Arrow a little suspiciously, "Meanwhile, you seem to be taking this rather well..."

Arrow shrugs. "I always had a feeling that Wind wouldn't choose me anyway. And I'm sort of interested in someone else too..." He lets go of Fox. "Do you want some tea or something..."

At first Fox feels almost enraged. Arrow had someone else, and couldn't just have backed off from Wind, and then wind would have chosen fox for sure, and he wouldn't have left... but there wasn't anypoint in thinking like that NOW. Wind is lifebonded, and even if that's not so good for Snowfox wanting to be with the other adept, it is very good for wind himself.
He turns away from the nightscout and sighs, tired from the whirlwind of emotions he'd been experiencing the past little while, "No, I-I'm rather tired out now. I think I'll just go to bed."

Arrow is worried. "Are you sure? I'm sorry about not totally backing off of Wind, Fox. Honestly though, I had more chance with him than I did with the other guy... Still do, really."
