Ellos!~ Mkay so I play the alto sax and tenor sax. The tenor is my favorite by far. I've played the bari but just to play. I haven't actually played it in band or anything. The saxophone is the best! Oh, I"m also learning the bassoon! ^^

My sax is being repaired now. The D sounds a lot better on it, so I'm thinking it was my instrument...as for the sax I'm using, it's so nice, helps with my tone, and is very shiny. It makes me feel bad to use it during band camp. xd

I'm hoping to join our school's jazz band on tenor sax. I'd have to learn how to jumble oboe and sax embouchure, but I think I can make it work. I'll just be really busy, though...I'm taking all core classes except band this year, plus I want to do indoor guard, which is after school in the evening...jazz band is right after school, so I'd have to find time for homework and stuff. xd I'm overloading myself with band this year...I'm thinking about doing pit orchestra, too.

I need to put my tenor and student alto in the shop to get em adjusted and pads replaced. My tenor actually needs lots of repair work done which is why i havent brought it to the shop since it's probably goign to cost well over $100.

Lol get this story:
For four years I played the clarinet. By the time I switched to a new clarinet, the original was 8 years old, having been used by my sister for 4 years before me. It was so broken and over used, I thought I was the worst clarinet player on the face of the earth. Then, when I got a new one, I realized it had been the instrument, not me.
This past school year, I finally switched to alto sax, my ultimate goal. My dad is one of the best sax players I have ever known. He had a beautiful sax, owned it since he was in his early teens. He gave it to me.
This sax is truly a beauty; It's a Selmer that is way older than I am, by a very long time, with all original corks and pads, save the one cork that holds the neck on. It has the best tone I have ever heard on any saxophone before, and is practically spotless. I am so lucky to have such a valuable and beautiful instrument!!!
Totally true. Love my dad, love the instrument, love playing it! heart

Durza the Shade yo2yo2kid I play alto sax. All saxophone have the same fingerings so you could play almost any of them if you could play just one. All instruments are like that, but saxophone is the only one with common key variations. I'm pretty sure bass clarinet and maybe even contrabass are Bb, same as the regular clarinet. There are clarinets in other keys, but like other instruments, they're not very common. thats true you don't really hear about bass clarinet's often in bands. but I did play one in my concert season in band. it helped me develop more air so when i got back on clairinet I played louder.
