Okay, so I think I just may be back. I was in South Carolina for a week, then spent this week catching up on things I didn't do while vacationing. Not that I don't have more left to do, but I can take a break, it's the weekend, yes?
Anyway, last night I had my first successful attempt at lucid dreaming. This comes naturally to some people, but I'd never had one and was quite pleased that I'd taught myself how. If anyone's interested in how to do it there's stuff on the internet (such as
this) where you can find out how to do it. The tips I'd heard before were to record your dreams (which I do sometimes, but usually I just describe my dreams in detail as soon as I wake up to my man), ask yourself 5-10 times a day whether you're dreaming (which I was doing), telling yourself at night that you
are going to have a lucid dream (and remember it), and also to have a plan of what to do once you realize you're dreaming (this probably helps you to remain lucid, rather than going back to accepting your dream as reality, and also helps you test whether you're really dreaming or not). A good test is to see if you can float/fly. I didn't do this, nor did I remember my plan once I realized I was dreaming. Oh well, there's always next time.
It was so cool, though. Suddenly I was like "Hey, I'm dreaming!" and proceeded to control the events that followed. I didn't do much, but I was able to order people around, which was neat.
Anyway, hello all!
