Veroen kept his hand on his forehead, and calmed himself before he began to explain. He took a few breaths, and sighed.
He took one more, regardless of the fact that he did not need air. It just made him feel like he was getting a grip on it.
"Well, remember when I told you why I became a Deathdealer?"

"I do, yeah." She leaned in closer, preparing herself to hear his story about what was going on with him. If it had been enough to upset him she didn't want to upset him by putting him through it again but sometimes talking about things helped and hopefully it would do him some good. Of course she noticed his eye darken again and her inner persona stirred in reaction to the void stirring within Veroen. Eden even found herself having to n** back a rumble in her throat that was threatening to turn itself into a low growl. "What's up? What happened?"

Veroen let out another sigh.
"The Coven lied to me. It wasn't Jaden's pack. It was a pack that the Coven had enslaved. They set it up, and told me that it was Jaden's pack, so that I would join them, and so that they could use my abilities as an assassin to their advantage."
His voice began to break.
"I saw them, Eden, I saw the wolves rip my older brother and little sister limb from limb. She was only 12.... 12 years old... My brother was only a year older than me....And it was the very Coven that i trusted for so long... I have wasted over 500 years of my damned life, training, honing, and preparing myself to do the coven's dirty work... they used me...they destroyed everything I had left...."
With these words, and for the first time in his immortal life, tears began to form in his single eye. Of course, he kept his hand over his eyes and forehead, hoping that Eden wasn't noticing. He never cried. Ever.
But, he couldn't help it. He was with the only person he truly felt comfortable around, and he had bottled it up for over 500 years.
The darkness swirled in his eye even more.

"Oh my God ... Veroen ... I am so sorry." She was kind of in shock about the whole treachery thing and simply hugged him in response. When he started crying, which her more attuned senses picked up on easily enough, she became even more shocked. For whatever reason she'd never considered the fact that Veroen, like everyone else was capable of tears. He was just always so in control of himself and though he was a lot more open with her he was still somewhat cut off from her. However, she could see now that he needed her probably more than ever and in that moment she knew she would protect him no matter what and that those who had made one of the mightiest warriors she knew cry would pay. "It's okay, Veroen ... I'm here for you ..." She'd sat both of them upwards by now and had wrapped her arms around the grieving vampire she loved so dearly. To see him like this only made her miserable as well.

Veroen was caught off guard when she hugged him, but he was quick to let her embrace him. He did not make a sound, nor did he make any physical action that suggested that he was crying, save for tears coming out of his eye, which was swirling like a pitch black pool of liquid.
The void stirred within him. It was growing, quicker than it ever had since his encounter with the ancient Void-using Vampire that he killed a little over 200 years ago.
He hugged Eden tightly, now that she was not so fragile anymore.

Eden allowed him to sit there and hug her tightly in silence as he swallowed everything that the coven elders had forced him to deal with from this new discovery. She really did feel for him but she hoped that eventually things would look up for him and that he'd eventually be able to see the horizon again. Of course, she wouldn't actually want him to since he was a vampire and all and that was just a huge no no but she did want him to be nothing but happy and content. Right now it was clear that he was dealing with an overload of information and the people he had devoted his life to had, in one night, become his true enemies. Nothing hurt more than being betrayed by those you considered family. She would know, Reno had taught her that very hard lesson a few years ago and the haunting thoughts and guilt still stuck with her as though it was yesterday. Will had been the one to personally execute him and she'd never told her brother that she'd been there to witness the entire thing ...
In attempts to comfort Veroen, she began humming some sort of semi-cheerful tune as well as she gently combed her fingers through his hair and eventually came downwards to rub his cheek. She could sense his pain and it killed her that she didn't know how to get rid of it for him or that she couldn't help him take it on by taking some of it herself. Pain was cruel that way. It was something that could be measured but it only pertained to one person and they, try as they might, could never unload their pain and be rid of it. While it was a measurable thing, it was tangible in a much different sense than the normal association with tangible and there in laid the problem. "You know I'm always here for you, hey? You can always talk to me, tell me anything you need to. You're family and you'll be treated as such. No lies, I promise."

Veroen couldn't help but utter a chuckle through his tears when Edith began to hum to him. He hadn't heard someone hum to him since he was a small child. So long ago... during medieval times as a matter of fact. He whispered into her ear.
"Thank you."
He got a hold of himself, locking the rest of the pain inside. He would use it for later. He would destroy the coven. He knew the Coven better than anyone else that was not a part of it. He knew most of their dirty little secrets. And he would find more. His anguish quickly rebuilt itself into vengeful thoughts, just as it had when he had thought that it was the Lycans.
The tears stopped.
He then pulled back so that he could look at Eden. "I'm fine now, really." he said this with a calm voice. He had regained his assassin composure. No more tears would be spilled on behalf of the Coven's deeds. Only blood.
He let out a sigh, and then looked at her again, and leaned in and kissed her with a bit of passion.

Hearing Veroen chuckle relieved her a lot since it had to have meant that he was feeling better and well enough to laugh at the very least. There really wasn't too much point of dwelling on it but he had to deal with it in his own way. She hoped his own way wasn't going to prove self-destructive or anything but if it did he'd hopefully listen to her if she asked him to stop or to see reason. However, she had faith that Veroen wasn't going to do anything overly stupid simply because the coven had lied to him and betrayed him. "You're welcome," she responded with a smile and gave him a quick squeeze before her eyes focused again on his face to see how he was handling everything and assuring that he was actually alright. Laughing was usually a good sign but some people laughed out of shock or because they were uncomfortable or afraid. She hadn't known Veroen to do that but it was quite possible.
"Good. We'll kick their asses someday anyhow. I've already used Rogue as a punching bag once before, what's another three vampire elders to beat the crap out of?" She smiled a pixie-like smile and then kissed him back when he leaned into her and gave her one. Afterward her smile still remained planted upon her face and she inspected his shoulder to assure that it was healing properly. She also inspected his eyes, realizing that the void had taken more of a grip on him than she'd ever seen it take. He'd never used it to transport himself somewhere but he had tonight so she wasn't sure if she was supposed to be concerned or not. Some void masters were driven absolutely insane by the void and she really hoped that Veroen would not be claimed. She didn't have the heart to take Veroen down let alone fight against him in a life or death one on one.

Veroen looked away as she tried to look into his eye. He knew it was swirling with the void, and he knew that it was growing stronger within him. Whatever the Void was, it was evil. Though it gave the user great power, it came at a cost. It consumed ones very soul overtime.
Veroen knew that someday, maybe even soon, it would become a big problem. He did not want to turn out like Alasdair.
"It's alright Eden. It's just cause of my raging emotions right now..." He told the truth, but he feared that it was because of something else entirely.
He gently smiled at her, locking the thought into the back of his broad mind.
He would deal with this later.
He glanced at his shoulder, which was little more than an irritated area on his skin. It was healing rather quickly, but he knew it would leave a scar. He might end up killing that girl whenever he got the chance....
His strength had returned to him once again, and he sat up, and stretched his arm. Then, he slid off of the infirmary bed that he was on, and walked around the room for a few moments, testing if he had all his strength back.

"I figured as much but that doesn't mean it's not necessarily something to worry about. I've never personally known a void user but I do know that void users are easily driven over board by their rush of power and such so I'm just worrying about yours becoming stronger." She really didn't want to have to think about the void at all. It was something she really didn't know much about seeing as though she just kind of killed the vampire and it was over with, whether they were a void user or a death dealer, their class really didn't matter to her. However, she certainly had to say that void users were probably the most difficult vampiric class to deal with in her own personal opinion. They could be everywhere and no where and it was just absolutely insane. She tried to rummage through a possible list of vampiric hunters that might be able to help Veroen out but at the moment her mind was running a blank. She had a name on the tip of her tongue but she just couldn't remember.
When Veroen got up Meredith watched him pace around the room to test his strength and see if he was okay to go and such. It seemed that he certainly was fairing better than he had been a few hours ago and his wound was healing, to Meredith's relief. Seeing Veroen in such a state had reminded her that though he was extremely strong, that he too was just as vulnerable if someone landed a good hit. She remembered James shooting her in the shoulder with the solid silver bullet and that had been her first time ever encountering or dealing with silver but it'd been extremely painful and unexpected. She'd even blacked out and ended up at someone elses house. Luckily they hadn't been psychos and hadn't dismembered her or anything. "You're certainly looking a lot better than even a few hours ago. I guess we have Gail to thank for that. She's the best medic in haven and if she can't fix you you're basically f--ked." Eden chuckled and continued to sit on the bed.

Tobias walked in the room abrubtly. He was bleeding heavily from multiple spots. "Can.............. someone.............. help....mmme?" He said, feeling pain in each word. He had no idea where he was or who these people where, but he needed help now. He passed out.

Veroen grinned at Eden. But before he could even reply, a man walked into the room, bleeding from multiple places on his body. Then, after requesting help, he immediately fell unconscious. Before he could hit the ground, Veroen was there in the blink of an eye, and caught the man. He looked over at Eden, and spoke quickly.
"This man needs medical attention. Where's Gail!?"
