"Nothing, nothing." He said, quietly. He looked away, trying to push the thoughts back. "Just stuff." He hoped desperately that she didn't know he was lying. But it was true. He had realised his feelings for her. But Erik couldn't let himself think like that. It may not have been reciprocal. And, that would produce negative effects. That negativity would ruin the only friendship he had.

Amaya could tell he was lying, she sighed, realising he obviously didn't want her to know. "Maybe another time then?" she said quietly, turning to look at the sun, which had almost completely set, and the sky above was beginning to get darker. "It's really beautiful out here isn't it..." she pointed out thoughtfully.

"Yeah. Real beautiful." He agreed. But, he wasn't exactly talking about the sunset. Letting out a sigh, he wasn't sure what to say. Keep quiet, or come clean? It wasn't an easy choice. He felt that he could alienate himself from her if he said anything. But, to keep it bottled up would surely drive him to insanity. So, all he did, was repeat himself. "Real beautiful."

Amaya looked at him as she sat upright, she had somehow moved slightly behind him and out of his view. She noticed his behaviour had changed, he was acting quite strange, she could sense something was up. She placed her hand on top of his. "What's wrong Erik?" she asked, her voice was soft and caring.

"Nothing. Nothing's wrong at all." He lied, looking away. Should he tell her? No. But why? Because it's stupid. Well, who's the judge of that? Common sense. With another sigh, he looked to her once more, but said nothing. His eyes fell dim, a battle raging in his head. A battle about some stupid little emotion. A feeling he felt for someone who was his only friend. And it felt like it was killing him. But, no. He wasn't be overly dramatic at all.

Amaya gripped his hand. She could tell it wasn't nothing. She'd been his best friend for years. She sighed, wanting to know, all she wanted to do was make him happy, instead of sad, which was the vibe he was giving off now. She moved forward so she was directly beside him, and put her other arms around him. "You can tell me Erik..." she whispered.

He hesitated, and realised her hand was on his. Biting his lip, he wanted to say it. But something held him back. Taking a deep breath, he turned his head to her. He wasn't sure what to say, or even how to say it. Words failed him now. So, he told her the best way words could not, turning, so that he faced her completely, he leaned in, and kissed her lips, softly.

Amaya blinked, it was unexpected, but for some reason, she didn't pull away, instead she found herself kissing him back. She closed her eyes and lay back, pulling him with her so their lips stayed locked. What am i doing.. she thought, ..he's your friend..you can't let this happen.. She pushed the thoughts away as she continued.

Something at the back of his head told him it as wrong. But he ignored it. He closed his eyes, now, placing a hand on her cheek. He felt warm. Laying next to her, he slid his hand from her cheek, down to her waist. It still told him this wasn't right, and he made a mistake by doing it. He didn't care. He'd missed her for so long, and he didn't want to wait for another chance.

Lily and the girls were so involved with just beaning each other with flecks of mud, no one noticed Darius and Liz crawling off and away from the fight. Except Lily that is. She, however, was so busy trying to duck and dodge mud to try and stop them, so she watched them leave, trying not to lugh to hard for fear of getting mud in her mouth.

Amaya stroked her hand slowly down his side. Her mind was free of all thoughts, she focused everything on this one moment. She closed her eyes slowly as they kissed and then she began to nibble his bottom lip softly as she pulled him closer.

Darius smiled as he watched the girls have their little war. It was great to see her smile like this again, having fun and the like.
"Thanks Liz..." he said to his muddy companion sitting right next to him, "It's great seeing her happy again."

Liz looked at Darius and smiled. "Yeah, it is. But are you alright? Lily, she's a little bit of a soldier, carrying on, pretending everything is ok....but what about you, are you ok?" Liz asked looking Darius in the eyes. She cared about Darius and wanted him to be happy.

Darius looked at her a slight smile on his face, "Yeah...to be fair I had wondered how you all were, considering I was up in the hospital wing for a few days, but you know, just being with you, Lily and the girls made me happy, for all of us to be togeather and be the crazy family that we are made it just my day."
He chuckled at this and sighed lightly.
"I must be one of the luckiest guys in the world, having 5 great friends like this that care for me so much."

Liz looked at him and smiled. Yeah, he'd be ok. A little hurt still, maybe some places will hurt more to be at than others...bit over all, he'd be ok. So would Lily. Lily, Liz knew, still felt terrible about how hurt Darius seemed at the beginning of the breakup...but if he could be happy, so could she, and maybe someday everything would be right again and all this sadness would just leave.
"Well I'm glad, and I'd have to say the girls were really excited about comming to see you. Your like their big brother."
