"I'm fairly certain your ankle isn't seriously hurt, little bit of ice should do it. Never hurts to get a second opinion though." He said to Riza as they entered the pokecenter looking around for Nurse Joy. He sighed at the site of multiple trainers walking about, some panicking and others not, he liked it better when the place was nearly empty. "Gotta be honest, I don't have much of a tolerance for crowds. It'll be nice to get back home, Johto's more...peaceful." Though he meant what he said, Crenu couldn't help but take in all the pokemon native to Hoenn that were present in the center, they were alien to him and made him want to know more about them. "Still, I wouldn't mind hanging around here a little while longer, maybe catch some pokemon. Provided of course I'm on my own." He said with a quick glance at Riza and her pokemon. "Maybe an exception or two." He said with a little smile before getting to the main counter, he really wouldn't have minded Riza's company. She was one of the few people who's mere presence didn't annoy him, he actually kinda liked it. "Hey Nurse, we've got a sack full of stolen pokeballs for you. Make sure they get back to their trainers." Looking around for Nurse Joy, he noticed that she was rather busy dealing with injured people and what not. Oh well, they got the pokeballs back and that was the important part, what happened to them now wasn't his concern. It took a second because of the crowd, but Crenu managed to spot Nurse Joy and the people she was helping at the moment. A tall guy with a rather lanky girl in his arms, he wasn't at all surprised that Sae was giving Joy instructions on what M.A. needed. Crenu appeared to be right in his assumption that Sae was a rather accomplished trainer.

"Nah, I'll be fine," Riza said, flexing her leg a little. She'd landed funny on it when the Rocket had thrown her to the ground earlier, but she could walk on it without there being too much pain. "Just a couple of aspirin or something and I should be fine," she said, reassuring Crenu. Sneasel let out a bit of a huff, obviously not convinced, but she wasn't about to start a fight about it. Ralts, on the other hand, seemed to know otherwise but was perfectly content letting her trainer handle it.
Riza smiled at Crenu's comment, though at first it she thought he was going to tell her he wanted to be alone. "I wouldn't mind capturing a Hoenn Pokemon myself," she replied, thinking about how she'd be the first in her family to have one. Jaden had caught all his Pokemon in the Johto region, and both her parents preferred to have them as companions rather than for battling. Riza's dad had a Politoed and a Sudowoodo and her mother had a particularly spazzy Persian, but for once Riza wanted to be the one getting the pat on the back for doing something new. Riza thanked her own two Pokemon and recalled them into their pokeballs before she set the bag of stolen ones up on the counter. "We figured this was the best place to bring them," she explained. "The police are going to be awfully busy out there, rounding up the Rockets and such."
"Good thinking, you two," the Nurse said with a nod, pulling the bag over and having a look inside. "Goodness, there must be at least three dozen Pokeballs in here." She handed the bag to a grumpy looking Chansey and she carried the bag into the back room. "I'll have the pokeballs scanned in order to find out which trainers they are registered to," she said, looking to Riza as she stumbled a bit on her bad ankle. "Though it looks like you both got roughed up a bit out there. Sit down and let someone take a look at that ankle, young lady," she said, her tone rivaling that of Riza's mother when she was scolding her for something.
"Oh, no, I'm fine," Riza stated, holding up her arms defensively. "Just twisted it a little, nothing a bit of rest won't cure. Would you mind giving my Pokemon a checkup though? Just to be sure." The Nurse frowned at her but agreed, taking the two spheres behind the desk in order to get them healed. "Boy, she sure is pushy, isn't she?" Riza muttered to Crenu, keeping her voice low. * * * * * Katie's upbeat attitude wasn't deterred in the slightest even though Oreburgh Gate was a bit on the dark side, though Katie remembered to keep her eyes open for any rocks on the ground that might have really been geodude in disguise. For the most part the cavern was empty though Katie did see a girl waiting towards the opposite end. She'd been watching Katie and Genki since they'd come inside and Katie pretended to ignore her as they walked by.
"Hey, want to battle?" she asked, starting to walk alongside Katie. "I saw you beat those brothers. They're pretty tough. So, what do you say?"
"No, I do not," Katie retorted, adjusting her position as Genki had scrambled up onto her shoulder.
"But you can't turn down a challenge from another trainer. It's against the code."
"Yes I can, and I don't care," came Katie's short-tempered reply. "If you were watching that last battle you'd know that both of my Pokemon need healing."
"Oh," said the girl flatly, looking at the ground. "After you get them healed then?"
Katie growled and continued walking, but she nodded. "Fine."

When Giovanni called back his Pokemon, so did Flannery. She knew she should have felt safer now that the boss' Pokemon had been recalled, but something told her that he hadn't come here just to battle. All around her the grunts were standing perfectly still, each looking towards their leader with attention. The braver ones were, at least, while the others had taken to fleeing with their carcasses in tact. Flannery stretched her limbs a bit before jogging to where the others stood, though soon she would regret that very act and wish she'd just turned tail and ran.
Giovanni's words hit her like a blast of arctic wind, a horrified, sickening chill creeping down her spine with each sentence he completed. She'd already been rooted to the spot with fear when Mike had ran at the Rocket Boss, and now she felt as though the ground would fall out from under her if she dared to move. Giovanni's voice echoed in her mind and she took a step back even as others ran forward to aid their friend. Flannery remembered well the natural disasters that had ravaged the land. The blistering heat had been devastating to Lavaridge, even with its above-normal temperature range, and then there were the torrential downpours. And the volcano... if her grandfather hadn't used his Pokemon to help as fast as he had, the majority of town would have been destroyed. But even then the damage done had been tremendous. She shook her head in disbelief, taking a few more shaky steps back, her stomach turning. Surely Giovanni was wrong. It couldn't have been Mike. The Lavaridge boy had always been so sweet. Maybe a little eccentric at times, but Flannery found it to be endearing when mixed with his other qualities. "No," she whispered, looking at the boy, expecting him to deny the accusations. That's all they were, after all. Accusations. He hadn't owned up to anything. Yet.
And then he approached her, and he was actually smiling. He wasn't denying anything; and Flannery felt her heart drop into her stomach as he admitted to everything; the wildfire, the rock slide... All for... me...? He's insane... she thought, blinking away the tears that had formed in her ruby red eyes. "It... was... you..." she stammered, the hurt and sadness she felt beginning to change to disgust and anger. A small part of her felt pity for him, as it was perfectly believable that Maxie could have tricked him into doing his bidding, but the rest... "It was you! That fire... Grandpa Moore told me... he told me that it had been set on purpose! I told him he was wrong, that it was an accident, that these kinds of things happen, they..." she trailed off, bringing both hands up to clutch the sides of her head, which was now throbbing intensely. "And the rock slide! Magu almost died because of you!" she screamed, hot tears streaming down her face. "I stayed with him because the nurse said he wasn't going to make it through the night because he had been hurt so bad and I didn't want him to die alone..." She shook her head fiercely again. "Looking after me?!" she laughed incredulously, "hah! Because of you my life was put in danger! The Groudon thing, that fire, the rock slide..." She trailed off again, fighting back the urge to attack him. "You know what? I don't think Maxie tricked you into anything at all. I think you did it all on your own because you thought you had something to prove. Maikeru Kyoka, you are a sad, sick, selfish little boy and I never want to have anything to do with you ever again." With that, she kicked a bit of dirt at him and turned on a heel, blinded by tears as she walked away.

Alice let go of Aidan's arm, "Oh, sorry! I got a little carried away!" Her cheeks turned pink from embarrassment. "So it's to the hotel then." She grabbed onto Kadaj and her hat while the bike took off. When they arrived at the hotel, Alice was dumbfounded, she had never seen such a nice place. "Wow...." While Jun worked is fabulous magic, Alice peered around the lobby. Her eyes sparkled, if only I could live the ritz and glam lifestyle.... She seemed to have zoned out for a while because Jun and Aidan were already walking off without her. "H-hey!" She quickly grabbed her bag and ran after them.
When Alice saw the queen sized beds she immediately was overcome with urge to flop on the bed. The thought of germs stopped her, she hesitated until the full childish glee took over. "Wooo!" she ran and leaped onto the bed and landed on her stomach. "MMMMHHHhhhmmmm!" she murmured, "The beds are so soft!" She rolled over on her back and relaxed for once. Kadaj jumped up and curled up beside her. She noticed that she and Jun had taken the two beds, one had to share with Aidan. "I'm sorry but I don't think Kadaj would let me share. You two boys will have to!" She had no idea what she was setting on poor Aidan.

The silver-haired lady (in questioning) was just staring at Blythe. Staring. Staring. It was like a staring contest! Until Rocket-lady whipped out a Poke Ball. She was just about to throw it when the man in the orange suit, the leader, had said something that called them all to attention. All the Rocket-people stopped what they were doing and faced the man, except for those that ran in fright. Rocket-lady did the same, turning her back completely on Blythe. ..Strange.
However, a lot of commotion was coming from the direction of the orange-suit-man. Trying her best to sneak past the Rocket-lady, Blythe slid up against the wall to where Haruka was (still) drifting. She made a neat little jump off the wall and grabbed onto Haruka's arm-type appendage with one hand, causing a "squeak" from Haruka, while her otherhand reached into her bag for the camera, yet again. She snapped a few pictures of Rocket-leader-orange-suit-man, now that he was easier to capture, and of the brown haired boy.. he seemed to be going crazy? She stopped snapping the camera to watch the boy, Mike, snap instead.
The leader-man, whose name had been revealed to Blythe to be Giovanni, had announced that Mike had done.. something in.. some city. Lily-something. Groudon? Almost caused the destruction of the region? Wow, what a force this "Mike" must be! Scary, yes, but quite strong.. blythe was staring off at the commotion, but she absentmindedly snapped pictures of Mike freaking out. Pleading to a girl with red-hair, smiling.. almost maniacally. The red-head running away; a girlfriend, maybe? Uh-oh! With the last "snap", Blythe snapped herself back to reality.
-x-
A bit of horror mirrored her face as Ryka watched what beheld in front of her very eyes. All the fighting, all the strife, it had all stopped - but it raged on in Mike. He lunged at Giovanni, but his attempts failed. Giovanni revealed Mike's dark secret, and Ryka now knew why he was so desperate to keep it a secret. He caused it.. Ryka's mind repeated. Of course, she hadn't been around at the time, not anywhere near Hoenn for sure - but she'd heard of the incidents. Many had died, many had suffered.. all because of this boy here? Ryka shook her head, she couldn't believe it.
Mike was falling into a maniacal lapse now, and Ryka couldn't bear it any longer. She looked around the crowd, but all faces seemed to mirror hers. The one face she was looking for didn't appear to be there.. she saw his blond mop in the distance, seemingly heading back towards the sea-side hotel (which she never did thank him for!). The events that happened were not what Ryka wanted to think about right now, so she decided to follow Jaeshan. He seemed quite depressed, so maybe she could cheer him up?
Ryka passed through the sliding doors or the grand hotel. Only one clerk was there, for it was late, and many had probably been startled by the commotion outside. No guests seemed to be up either, except for one who had passed through a door titled "POOL". She too passed through the door, only to run into Jaeshan. A look of worry was on her face. "Jaeshan.. are you okay? You are not hurt, right?" ((stalker alert))

Aidan couldn't help the feeling of guilt that slowly started to build inside of him as they drove through the town. It grew even more as they reached the hotel they would be staying at. He almost decided to turn around and just sleep outside and meet up with them again in the morning. Unfortunately for him he had been too worried and had just followed the two inside. When he realized he had followed them in, Aidan figured he was already in to deep and might as well go for the gusto.
Shifting uncomfortably Aidan looked around the sparkling clean and expensive looking hotel. He had never been in any place like this and it made him feel like he didn't belong there, he doubted he would have a good nights rest. The carpet itself was probably more expensive then everything he had ever owned combined.
When Jun finished doing, whatever it was that he was doing, Aidan just followed him down a hallway towards whatever room they were in. Jun had said something about it not being a suite but that was fine with him, this was already to much for his poor head. Upon seeing that there was only two beds in the room he frowned. He wouldn't sleep in Alice's bed, they didn't have to tell him that. He didn't want to sleep in a bed with Jun though, he DID know that. He had a feeling that if he did he would end up in some very... uncomfortable situations.
"Both of you should take the beds, I will just sleep on the floor." He paused looking down on it. "After all Jun got the room for us he should get the bed all to himself. I don't mind the floor." He muttered. There was no way he was going to get in the same bed as Jun.

Mike sat there, his body frozen as Flannery tore into him, the smile not leaving his face. She must have been joking right? She must! "Haha, Flannery," Mike said with a knowing laugh. "You're always kidding. It's so cute." There couldn't have been a fire at Lavaridge, she must have just been saying that to make him feel guilty for making her worry. But it wasn't until the last thing she said that his lips began to sink.
"You are a sad, sick, selfish little boy and I never want to have anything to do with you ever again."
...she...she isn't kidding. Mike thought, his mouth hanging open as the dirt flew into his face. He lowered his hand and slowly stood up, unable to grasp what had just happened. The boy watched as the love of his life turned and walked away without a moment of hesitation. "B-but..." stuttered Mike. "You...you can't just...walk away from me." His heart nearly stopped beating on the spot. He just couldn't believe it. "My-my entire life has been centered around you. Everything I've ever done was with you in mind. You brighten my day and haunt my dreams. I-I would do anything for you to be h-happy with me. Do...do you...DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I SACRIFICED FOR YOU!?" he screamed, staggering back as the weight of the whole situation hit him like a sack of bricks. Mike fell back to the ground, clutching the sides of his head. The world spun around him as he tried to wrap his mind around it all. Nothing was as it seemed, as it should have been. He was supposed to be the hero, to ride off into the sunset with his beautiful damsel. That's what he planned on, that's what Maxie said would happen. "I-I don't know what's going on! Mike screamed, leaning forward and burying his face in his arms.
Face it boy, an all too familiar voice rang out inside his head. you got dumped. She doesn't love you anymore.
"Oh god." Mike said, nearly gasping for air. "Not you...No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No, anyone but you!"
Miss me? Milo replied. Mike could practically see his evil smirk. I've missed you kiddo. So much Think of all the fun we're going to have together now that I'm back! he shot out a sinister laugh that rang inside Mike's head. It was the most grating, awful noise he had ever heard. It made him feel sick to his stomach. Everything Mike had done in his life had been for her. There wasn't a moment that went by in the day when she wasn't on his mind. He loved her more than anyone else in the world, and she just walked away. Just. Like. That. It was all for nothing. All of his hard work, his determination, all for nothing. His friends would abandon him, the world would turn on him, and he'd spend the rest of his days in a padded cell. All he wanted was to live happily ever after with the girl of his dreams. Why wouldn't they let him?
Then, inside Mike's head, there was a subtle, quiet, almost inaudible 'snap'.
"Hhn-hn-hn-hn-hn-hn-hn-hn-hn"
All of his problems, his pains, his anguish, were suddenly jettisoned. The barrier Mike had worked so hard to create came crashing down, like a sledgehammer to a house of cards. His mind rushed with thoughts, recollections, feelings that were until now locked deep inside his heart. His heart picked up speed, trying to keep up with the overload of emotions.
Now, Milo said with a pause. Sing for me.
There was a long pause, a silence so extreme you could have heard a pin drop on the beach. "Ha ha ha..." laughed a muffled voice, growing louder with each passing second. "Ha ha ha ha." Mike picked his head off the ground, his eyes wide with a mix of terror and pure joy. "KYII-HA HA HA HAHAHAHAHA!" he shrieked, his laughter jaggedly echoing across the city like a chorus. Mike leaned forward and planted both hands firmly on the ground in front of him, laughing as he did. He drove his head straight into the ground. He did it again, and again, and again, never once breaking in his hysterical cackle. "So this, this is how it's going to be huh!?" He screamed as he stood up. Blood dripped down his face, accenting his now pure white eyes; his pupils practically non-existent. "You think you can just blame everything on me and that's the end? That you've won? That I'M THE BAD GUY?!" he laughed again. "No my dear, you're wrong. YOU'RE ALL WRONG!" He looked around at his friends, fear and doubt on all their faces. He turned back to the retreating Gym Leader.
"You-haha-you told me last night that I drive you crazy." Mike said, pointing to Flannery, letting the rest of his body hang limp as if suspended by a single string. "Allow me to show you how c-CRAZY YOU HAVE ALL MADE ME!" He thrust his hands into the sky and let loose another hysterical cackle. After years of fighting a losing battle, years of struggling against an unbeatable force ever on the verge of his conscious, he had finally lost.

Off in a far more quiet place, Jun tsked, exasperated. He was prudent enough to detect a losing battle before it began; how noncomplying this Aidan was! Really, he was no fun at all. No cuddling after all! He'd be sleeping allll by himself. Having Ronnie accompany him was out of the question, too. She was very human-like, so that wasn't the problem, but if she was permitted to sleep outside of her Pokeball she did have a tendency to sleepwalk with scissors in hand. Very dangerous.
"Don't sleep on the floor, I'll call room-service for a roll-in," Jun said brusquely, yanking his duffel onto his shoulder and disappearing into one of the two bathrooms. He was tired and somewhat pissed, and the solution for both of these (to some extent) was a good night's worth of beauty sleep.
He popped out about ten minutes later, face fully moisturized, lean body sporting royal blue, silky pajamas. His glasses were hooked onto the front of his button-up shirt, which revealed a triangular tidbit of his fairly solid chest. He was slightly obsessive regarding staying in shape, since his worst fear was flabby arms and big donkadonk thighs. His messy hair and unobstructed emerald eyes made something of a difference on the guy; he seemed less prim now, more masculine even. Maybe that was just his exhaustion, however, for with a brief word of good night he pulled out a silk pillow-case (silk is infinitely better for the hair!) and slipped into bed alllll by himself. He'd lost this battle, but not the war!

Jaeshan had been sizing up the amazingly abandoned poolside area, incredibly glad to have it to himself when he felt someone suddenly bump into him from behind. "Whoa," he exclaimed, turning around to see a head of blonde hair standing right there behind him. "Heh, yeah, I'm fine, don't worry," he reassured her, placing a hand on her shoulder. "I just couldn't bear to be out there anymore, and I was going to work off a little stress through some swimming. You can join me, if you like," he added, before venturing further inside. He tossed his towel over a nearby pool chair and neatly placed his sandals on the ground in front of it before he made his way to the diving board. He climbed up the stairs carefully and he waved at Ryka from the top then slowly walked out along the length of the diving board and jumped off, doing a well-practiced dive into the water, barely making a splash.
It felt incredibly good to have the cool water wash over his body and he swam a few lengths underwater before he surfaced, pushing his sopping bangs out of his eyes. He didn't know why but he always preferred swimming in pools over open water. Something about the murky darkness where you couldn't see the bottom just made him uneasy, and Jaeshan didn't really like the open ocean in general.
=-=-=-=-= Flannery stopped walking after about twenty steps and she turned around to look at the raving boy. A hand rested daintily on her hip and she shook her head at the sorry sight the love of her life had become. She still loved him, of course, but right now she didn't want to be around him. Sure, his intentions had been good, but at the same time he'd blurred the line between good and bad choices and Flannery couldn't see herself with someone who had little or no regard for consequences. "Mike...." she said, but found no other words to go along with it. She wanted to apologize, or something but she then realized she shouldn't be the one apologizing. "Goodbye," she said finally, shrugging and giving a little sigh before she took a Pokeball from her belt and threw it. Her Rapidash appeared in a flash of flames and light and she climbed up onto its back, holding tightly to the Pokemon as it began to gallop away, struggling not to look back.

Kilik looked over at his friend. No, this wasn't Mike. What in the world happened? He snapped. The boy stood up slowly, his legs shaking. His entire body hurt. Everything Giovanni said had to have been true. He knew it: after all, he saw Mike's Team Magma uniform. He saw Mike's Admin badge. Kilik knew that it was all true, there was no doubt about it. But that's not the Mike he had met. He glanced over at him one more time. You're still my friend... he thought, but as he opened his mouth to speak: "You dumbass!" he barked, "Way to go! You've lost us all!" His legs gave out and he fell back to his knees, his fists shaking on his legs.
"Ah, in all the excitement," he laughed, "I forgot all about you, Kilik. There's more ladies and gentlemen!" Giovanni placed a hand on the railing, laughing. "As entertaining as it is to watch our dear Mike lose it all, we can't let the spot light be on him! We all know that Kilik is Mike's right hand man! We know that they work together in their heroic deeds. Yet Kilik is far from that as well," he smirked then let out another laugh, "You see, Kilik was an Admin in Team Rocket! He was just as low down and dirty as I am! As Mai is!" Giovanni's maniacal eyes widened, "Remember a few months ago when they announced that not only had the Master Ball been stolen, but the Silph Company President had been brutally murdered?"
"That was Kilik. Kilik took it. Kilik killed the President!" he laughed loudly, "All because I had told him to! He was like a little puppy, willing to do whatever it was that I asked! Not only that, but he stole more Pokemon than I've ever seen! Easily one of the best members of Team Rocket that I've had. He was a fool to leave, and he's been hiding that fact from all of you! He's not hero! He's just as disgusting as Mike is! He's just as evil as I am! How can you have not seen it! I guess he's quite the actor!" Giovanni laughed loudly once more, clapping his hands a few times.
Kilik's hands tightened and his palms bled. His eyes were shut so tightly that the tears coming out were stinging beyond any pain that he had felt in his life. His heart ached. This was it. He and Mike were finished.

That's him! he thought, pointing at Mike from a distance, hopping up and down. I knew! I knew that was him! ....Alright, so what. I didn't know that it was him. But...I found him! Mazarin smiled widely and dashed over to hide behind a large rock that was over turned from the Dragonite's first Hyper Beam. He put his watch up to his mouth and quickly typed in a number. Banette hovered over his shoulder, his head the only part of his ghostly appearance that was sticking out of the rock. "Daa-hehehehehe!" the boy laughed, "This is perfect! I won't be hated!" He looked at the screen on his watch, waiting and waiting for his Captain to appear.
"This is Wesker. This had better be good news, Mazarin," he said plainly, "Your job depends on it. If you're merely wasting my time, you will surly regret it."
"Sir!" Mazarin said, saluting quickly. So fast, in fact, that he ht himself in the forehead, "Aack. Anyway, uhm...he's here! I found him! For sure, I know it's him! Giovanni said so!" He wished his Captain didn't wear those sunglasses: it really diminished on the reaction he gave. He could tell his eyebrows were raised up.
"You're telling me that Giovanni is there as well?" he asked, "Two for the price of one. However," he shook his head, "Go for the easier bait. Kyoka is a much more tame target. Don't overshoot it. Now get to work." Again, he cut the line.
"But...I...Uh...okay." Mazarin shut his watch off, standing up from behind the rock. "Doooohohoo!" he laughed, "You're soooo mine, Kyoka! Though it sucks major Mankey nads that Kilik's the guy who offed the Silph El Presidente. Maybe if I turn him in," he thought tapping his chin, "Oh wait! I'll get tons of money if I turn in Kilik and Kyoka! It's a Backstabbing Smorges...Smorge...It's a Backstabbing Buffet! Daaahahaha!"
"But I won't turn in Kilik. He's too good a pal," He shrugged, "Kind of."

Sere watched everything unfold. Mike's screaming for someone to accept what was going on. His pleeding to his girlfriend for understanding, as though there was justification for the things that he had done. Her heart almost started to feel bad for him. Obviously he had reached a breaking point, and was starting to lose some of his marbles, if he had ever had any to begin with. Everyone else around was just kind of standing by unsure of how to react to the news, and the insanity.
Serenity closed her eyes and the fires and the distruction in her home city was suddenly all around her. The screams of the pokemon and the people filled her ears and she put her hands on them to try and get it to stop. The tears started to come. She had pushed all of that stuff out of her head so that she could get on with her life, to have it rush back now, to have to deal with all of the emotions as if the event had just happened was, unthinkable.
A loud bit of laughter pulled her out of her own mind and back into the reality of what was going on. The girl Mike had referred to as the love of his life had turned and started to walk away, and Mike was now standing there with his arms pointed to the sky laughing as though everything had gone entirely as he had planned. It made Sere's blood boil. 'How dare he!' She thought. 'How dare he stand there and act that way?' On instinct alone she looked at the ground and grabbed the first thing she saw, a long stick, and started to rush at Mike. All the rage she felt at losing her parents fueling the attack.

Alice watched the obviously upset Jun as he set himself for bed. She was oblivious as to why he was acting upset over getting such a nice bed all to himself. She shrugged it off and plunged her hands into her bag. After shuffling her hands around for a bit she pulled out a pile of clothes and a tooth brush. She vanished into the bathroom and shortly emerged in a white cotton night gown accented with pink and purple flowers. She then quickly raced over and flopped on the bed again. This startled Kadaj who gave a yelp and jumped off the bed. Alice squirmed and found her way under the blankets. She found herself warm and comfortable, Kadaj jumped back up on the bed and curled up on a vacant pillow.

Kasiya glared angrily in Flannery's direction, unable to understand why the Gym Leader was walking away from Mike. Now? she thought, blinking back tears. Now, when he needs her the most? She glanced towards her broken friend, her heart aching for him. She understood that the things he'd done hadn't been the wisest of choices but he was doing something, right? And it had been Flannery he'd done it for and yet, she was walking away from him. I won't walk away from him, she thought, wiping her face furiously with the back of her hand. I won't turn my back on him, because he's never turned his back on me! Kilik was wrong; Mike hadn't lost her, and he never would. She then heard Giovanni continue his speech and she turned her gaze towards him, feeling her hatred for the man growing stronger and stronger with each word he uttered. The information he revealed about Kilik was no surprise to her, as she'd been part of the trio that brought him down, there on the rooftop of the Silph Co building. Herself, Nina, and Sabrina; between the three of them they'd managed to help get him arrested and taken into custody. Naturally she'd had her doubts about the black-haired boy but he'd shown her that he was capable of redemption and that was good enough for her, but there was the Rocket Boss, dragging two of her good friends' names' through the mud.
And then, out of the corner of her eye she saw a familiar person charging forward, fury burning in her eyes and a large stick in her hands. Kasiya panicked when she realized the girl was heading for Mike, and it wasn't until she'd ran forward and jumped protectively in front of him (again) that she even realized who it was on the attack. "I won't let you hurt him!" Kasiya screamed, reaching out swiftly as Serenity swung her makeshift weapon, catching it painfully in her hands and pulling it from the marginally smaller girl's grasp, where she then proceeded to snap it in two and throw it out of the way. "I won't let you hurt him," she repeated firmly, her body shaking from the surge of adrenaline. "I won't let anyone hurt him."
A cruel, cold cackle came from Mai's direction as her boss' words stung in the hearts of each child, and her laughter only grew louder as she watched her wretched half-sister nearly get her head taken off by another girl as she tried to protect Mike from further harm. She then turned her attention to Keegan, who'd barely moved since the ordeal had started. "You see, Red?" she called out, locking her icy blue eyes with his emerald ones, "do you see how she stands up for him, protects him, and loves him, even when he's clearly in the wrong? Talk about standing by your man," she went on, glancing coolly at Kasiya, "even when he's far too dense to notice that yet another one of the friends he's deceived for so long loves him so..." she trailed off and took a few steps forward, folding her slender arms across her chest, an evil, malicious smile spreading across her features as she turned to look at Mike next. "Yes, that's right, Kyoka!" she continued, her voice filled with glee. "My baby sister has had the hots for you since the day you first met!" Her laughter echoed eerily through the area and she shook her head, looking sadly back at Keegan. "To think that all this time, you've been the rebound man, the second-choice. The lesser option. Runner-up. Tsk. It's such a shame, the way she's played you, taken you for a fool. Tell me, Red. Has she told you she loves you?" she asked finally, her voice dripping with a patronizing, sarcastic sweetness.
Once again Kasiya felt her rage build up, quickly to the breaking point. She shook her head, her tears falling freely now. "No!" she wailed, looking through bleary eyes towards the redhead. "I haven't been playing you... I would never... I didn't..." she choked out, feeling as though she was going to be sick. All these things, these terrible things that Mai and Giovanni were saying... it was nothing more than to break them up all up, to cause rifts in their friendships. "They're trying to b-break us up," she sobbed, wiping her face with her hands once more. "They're... we can't let them..." She shook her head again, feeling as though her heart had been shattered into a million tiny fragments. Her eyes locked with Mai's and she let out a furious scream before she ran at Mai, intent on inflicting as much pain as she could on the horrible woman.
"Please!" Mai scoffed, reaching out and grabbing the girl's arm firmly, quickly twisting around and wrenching it behind her back with a sick-sounding pop before forcing her to the ground. Kasiya shrieked from the pain and wriggled, though it was to no avail as Mai pinned her there with a knee, now driving her sister's face into the dirt. "Anyone else?" she called out, her voice having returned to its normal icy tone.

This whole ordeal made her sick, sick to her stomach. But yet, there was an almost peaceful look on her face. The calm before the storm. She watched, rooted to the ground, as Kasiya ran forward to protect that insane person she called her friend. Disgusting. P-plain digusting, she soon found herself thinking. He snapped, the guy snapped. Flannery, his love, had easily left him. Yet, oddly, she did not feel sympathy for Mike. She left you! You loved her and she left you! she screamed at him mentally, though she lacked the courage to do so out loud.
Then her hands and then her body took on a soft glow. Anger filled her toughts as she glared at the boy. "You're so stupid Mike. How could do have done something so stupid?" she whispered. His stunt, his insane desire to be the hero had almost costed both her life as well as Karri's. . .
Winds swpt over the island, trees snapped, rocks overturned. The island was utterly being torn apart as the water and wind enveloped the area. Where was mom? Where was dad? No where. No where. The small, purpled haired girl ran frantically in search of her parents before a strong gust overtook her small frame easily casting her over the edge of the island. Falling. Falling towards sharp rocks. She was going to die. She was going to die alone. Only . . . she didn't. The small Ralts, her savior, had quickly whisked her away to safety, nearly killing herself with the effort of a Teleport just days after her birth.
Mitsu snapped back into reality, taking in a rasping breath. No, she would't be like Kasiya. She would not protect Mike. Mike was her friend, but this person, this person was not Mike. Blood dripped from his face, his pupils gone, insanity clearly warped his mind. He was not Mike, he was not the boy she had loved. As Giovanni spoke he too revealed Kilik's past, most of which Mitsu had already known. And yet, no one stoodby him, Mike had all the attention as always. Mitsu shook her head at Mike before walking next to the black haired boy. "Don't worry Kilik, I haven't left you," she said calmly, though the red aura that dimmly glowed from her body perhaps suggested otherwise.
Karri could only watch in pain as both Mike and Kilik suffered from the truth's Giovanni had spoken. But Mitsu's memories had hurt the most. She remembered the day as well, all too well. She would have died had it not been for the twin gym leaders. She did want to help the poor boy who had seemed to have lost everything. But Mike was not her pirority, Mitsu was. So instead she took a stance near Kilik and her trainer. At the very least Kilik was still sane.
