leaderpeine Just wondering, what are some of the first catches for people. I want to know what to go by for mine when it happens.
Personally, my first catches tend to be some of the more common (but still reliable) Pokemon. For my characters, it was a Wurmple and a Wooper.

First captures are generally Pokemon that are considered to be commonplace. One of our newer characters had a Paras as his first capture, and others have ranged from Pikachu to Shellder to Gastly to Rattata, Pidgey, and even Oddish. If you're unsure, just ask. 3nodding

Well, the final team I'm looking at is this
Weavile
Blastoise
Donphan
Mismagius
Breloom
Flyer
Out of the 5 there, which one would be more common.

I suppose it would depend on where you planned to go first, though Phanpy and Shroomish would be easiest to find out of those five. Also keep in mind that you need to get your starter to at least level 8 or so before you can make a first capture. ^_^

He's going to Jhoto. Shroomish is probably going to be a later capture probably. The flying I'm using is probably going to be Togekiss. Now, for events like the Togepi Egg in the game, could I use stuff like that happen here (Elm giving a character an egg as a capture)?

I don't see why it couldn't happen that way, but probably not as your first capture.
