There are workers, but most of them have become soulless too and none of them can control the much more experienced patients when it comes to alchemy. They're kind of just... there.
I actually looked up treatments for insanity in the Victorian age; lovely things. Mostly it was simple herb mixtures; sometimes they would use shock treatment (spraying with a high pressure hose among other things) and occasionally still using cutting people up. The failures generally ended up as pieces in the backyard.
Thanks Silent... I has an idea for Alice intro. When it comes to layout, I'd love your help there too.
And I may have just come up with an idea to tie the two together...
