It IS better about that than what I got through of Kanon, I'll give it that. Hanging out with a girl for 5-ish episodes, then going on to the next arc and completely forgetting about the previous girl =/= heartwarming love story. >( Wasn't Clannad clean to begin with? I remember a couple of people mentioning that being a difference between it and Key's other adaptations when it first came out. EDIT: Awesome picture, Food. biggrin
Kotomi isn't really childish. She's just aloof; an airhead.
The heartwarming love story usually only applies to the main girl, so those episodes are the more important ones.
Just wait until episode 23. One of my favorites. (Mei~)
And now that yu mention it, I do remember that. Clannad was clean compared to it's predecessors. That was the whole reason for the alternate after story with Tomoyo; the fans *wanted* it ero.She was a freshman when she ended up in a coma. Kotomi wasn't nearly as childish, but the fact that she acts pretty much the same now as she does in the flashback to ten or so years ago bugged me. Also, her arc didn't end with her dying. I thought Key wrote tragedy porn, not semi-happy endings! This is true. The main episodes are also a good deal better. >_>She is coming back, then? I've met Mei, but she left again two episodes later. The fans wanted an H-game?! Ridiculous! xd
Possible Spoiler:It's not too far from his work though. Clannad itself has sort of a "To Be Continued" ending. In Clannad: After Story, which ties up loose ends, Nagisa and Ushio die. Don't worry. They get better. ninja ...I don't know who Ushio is.
