Tenshi ran after Batsu. He hoped they wouldn't be too late. He wanted to feel like he did something against the enemies that invaded their home and decided to go to the library, of all things. He was tired of running...

Batsu grabbed a book and he sat against a tree as he started to read. The cover of the book read. "Poisons and Remedies: A Beginner's Guide to Alchemy" The young man flipped to the first page and started reading. Scanning through the words of the first chapter, he yawned. Every book he read felt the need to go through this long drawn out spill about what the book was about. He didn't care... he just wanted to get to get to the good stuff without reading through ten pages or so of fluff.

Tsubaki-sensei, his squad leader, had shown him that he had a weak mind and was prone to genjutsu. She had turned his fear against him and made him feel weak. That is the way of the shinobi. He had to learn his weakness, and make it his strength. So he would have to increase his knowledge of the brain. How does one do that? Do I simply think of something irrelevant? It couldn't be so simple...

No not irrelevant, but maybe something defensive, like a brick wall, something concrete and almost indestructible. Yeah... that should do it. Like a shield for my mind to prevent unwanted enemies in... It seemed like a good idea, and was very plausible. With his chakra system to aid him, it would seem a perfect defense against such things.

Tenshi decided to think about it. He put something in his mind, a shield, and put it into his mind, but he didn't really feel like his mind would be put to the test. How does one block genjutsu? He decided to ask Batsu, "Batsu... can one aid the defense of their mind by thinking of something solid, whether it is something concrete or an idea? Can that seem plausible?" Batsu looked like he may know a thing or two about such things.

Tsubaki showed him the mind is as powerful as the sword. Tenshi must learn to block things from his mind.

Batsu continued to read through the pages of the book as he answered Tenshi's question. "It doesn't necessarily mean that a wall has to be put up in your mind, but rather strengthen your mind so genjutsu has little effect... if one at all. I learned a jutsu that can help with that and it doesn't really rely on wisdom. Once you're ready, I can teach it to you."Batsu continued to read his book and sighed... more fluff.

"Genjutsu Kai? I learned that in the academy... I was a little... ahead... of everyone else. Then again, that's what happens when you avoid everyone else and have tons of time on your hands." He never really knew Mizuiro, until he was on a squad with him. In fact, he didn't really know anyone in his squad, including their sensei. He looked at the book Batsu was reading. Alchemy... I suppose reading alchemy would benefit an archer and a med-nin. There wasn't much help he could offer in the area of alchemy, but Tenshi would try if he needed it.

Tenshi had an idea. If the genjutsu kai had the ability to disrupt the genjutsu, than maybe dodging it altogether was hidden among the jutsu itself. The technique reset the flow of chakra to the brain, cancelling out any foreign tampering. Maybe if he focused on the flow of his chakra, he could better avoid the genjutsu cast at him.

If his mind was focused on his chakra flow, it could effect the overall performance in a battle. He had to be completely focused on everything at once. It seemed rather difficult. His mind became frazzled and he ran a hand through his hair. This is harder than I thought.... he chuckled at his own thought.

Batsu couldn't help but laugh a little bit as he lowered his book. "You know Tenshi, you sound similar to me. I was the one who went ahead and did my stuff before everyone else. Heck, I didn't have a graduation. The Mizukage just sent a messenger bird and told me that I had passed. That's how I got my band and was sent to find Shinzu." The boy shrugged. It wasn't as extravagant of a promotion like his family had, but he was given special orders that no one else had.

"But yes, genjutsu kai is the technique. It pays to build up wisdom and make you less susceptible to genjutsu, but with the technique you can use your chakra to help you out. So don't worry yourself too much about it all.Besides, I think you're a fine shinobi as is and will only get stronger as you grow up and learn more." Batsu smiled and nodded at Tenshi before he went back to reading.

XDestruction, death, I'm merely something outta control . . .X

Shirome sighed in what almost seemed like relief. She was finally far away from the psycho stalker Hiroki. Looking around Shirome found herself in the Grove, however she didn't see Tenshi yet. Walking slowly she stared at her surroundings. Her expression as monotone as ever. Walking slowly she found it more, accurate that she should pay attention to her surroundings least she accidently walked past Tenshi. He would never let her hear the end of it if she got lost in the Grove. For a moment, Shirome stood still, her hands sorting her hair into three equal amounts. Shirome then criss-crossed her hair; in a way, plaiting it. Eventually though, she gave up with the amount of hair she had, knew she'd be there forever if not longer if she tried to even plait her hair. Deciding on placing her floor long hair into two high piggy-tails, she did so, though it was highly rare she even got annoyed with her hair.

Shirome decided to check what she brought. She brought a few books she needed to learn from, four bentou boxes and utensils. Shirome was pretty sure this morning that she had made the marinated duck, rice, skewered chicken, omelet, and a small hamburger patty as well. Checking anyway, Shirome found that she was right as per usual. Checking the books she brought she had the books on the techniques she needed to learn, then there were two just for plain reading. Then she saw something, a glint of silver at the bottom. Bring it out so she could see she questioned herself why she had accidently brought her flute. It had been a long time since she had last played it, yet it still remained as shiny as ever. Placing her basket on the ground she closed her eyes and waited for a moment, then she brought the flute to her lips.

Shirome played an old song she used to play with Tenshi and Hinata. As the soft sound of the flute ended Shirome placed it back into the basket, Walking off. Somehow she felt like red-riding hood who intended to bring a basket of food to her dear sweet grandmother. No, she was mere bringing food to her cousin, her older cousin at that. Still it had her wondering who was the older one when it came to the way he acted. In the distance she thought she saw Tenshi who was near another person. Shirome thought to herself that it was coincidental that she brought two extra lunch boxes. Shirome's skirt swayed as she walked closer to Tenshi. She was silent so she didn't know if Tenshi would hear her coming toward him or not, the old her used to love playing pranks, the her now, well she didn't like to play them any more.

Shirome placed down the basket as she stared at Tenshi, wondering what he was doing, sitting next to the Basket she coughed, mainly to get his attention. "I brought lunch, there's enough for all three of us, but I have one extra.." said, mumbling the last part of her sentence. Placing the basket upon her lap she stared at the two. Her pale icy blue eyes waiting for them to reply to her. A rush of wind came by, pulling her floor long, white hair out of their piggy-tails. Her skin, was as pale as snow it's self and retained a ghost like incandescent glow. Shirome placed her slender hands upon the lid of the basket. Her attention moving onto something else. Like how her blue ribbons wavered in the air as they flew away, no, Shirome didn't even bother to run after them, she wasn't like that, it was useless to try and catch something so high up in the air..

Tenshi gave him a smile as he was brought back to his 'graduation.' "Funny you mention that. Mizuiro and I were called up to the Mizukage's office and were given our headbands that way. It was informal, but I think I liked it better that way." He thought he heard a faint tune in the distance, but it stopped before he could recognize it. He heard somebody coming up behind them, and then a cough to his side. A monotone voice followed saying she had brought lunch. He recognized her instantly, "Shirome-sama, I thought I recognized the song. What are you doing way out here?"

Tenshi returned his thoughts to his techniques. They seemed plausible and he would have to try them in real-life situations. He had to keep his mind sharp and his eyes open. Adapt to what was around him, and not to let his enemy have the upper hand. The best way to prevent harm to himself was to be one step ahead of his attacker.

he would need to analyze his opponent. What were his elements? What jutsu does he know? How fast is he? What is he capable of and what isn't he? He would need to keep his mind going asking those questions and others like it if he wanted to survive. He wondered what that buff kid's weaknesses were... he wished he could find out and take advantage of it. Maybe he could if he crossed paths again...

Batsu was beginning to get back into his book when he heard music coming from out of nowhere, seemingly. He looked around to see who it was coming from and he saw this girl that he'd never seen before. However Tenshi knew who it was and even gave the girl a nickname. The boy shrugged. He wasn't trying to be rude, but he had a hard time dealing with meeting new people. It was a curse of his... a self-inflicted curse.

Batsu went on reading the book. It started to get into the meat of the book and Batsu was happy. He was over the introduction but feared flipping through the pages and missing something. Oddly enough, there was nothing in the previous pages that he didn't already know. So he kept reading on in the hopes that he could put this book to good use. After all, the chuunin exams were inching closer and closer.

Shirome stared blankly at Batsu then at Tenshi to reply to him. "I've brought lunch for you, your friend can have one as well," She said, looking through her basket, she pulled out two lunch boxes packed with care and kept neat, Walking close to Tenshi she placed his in front of him. Then, she walked over to Batsu, she gave him his. After all it was to be unfair for Tenshi's friend if he were unable to eat, hence he would starve and die. About half-way walking back to where she was before, Shirome displayed the hand sealed used to conjure up a clone or to perform Bunshin. In the puff of white smoke, Shirome had appeared. Her floor length white hair, her slender and slightly more curvaceous body, her pale ghost like skin, her eyes and even her pale pink lips. Releasing another perfect clone she watched how everyone else were doing with their training.

Tenshi always did like food. You couldn't tell from the way he looked, but he did nonetheless. "Arigato." He opened the box and the aroma entered his nostrils. He hadn't eaten in a while so the food was welcomed. "This is Batsu-san. He is training for the chunin exams coming up so his face will be plastered to that book," he flashed Batsu a smile. He gave a few coughs from the smoke that appeared from the bunshin. "Working on the academy jutsu I see. Bumu-sensei, or Mokujin?" He hadn't seen his puppet sensei in a while. In a way he was kind of glad... he gave Tenshi the creeps...

Tenshi wondered what it would be like in the chunin exams. He didn't want to rush into them himself. He wanted to get a bit of experience under his belt. He had far less than Batsu had. Tenshi didn't have doubts that Batsu would get there. He was strong and not to mention he had medical jutsu on his side when he needed it. Masaraku and Shinzu wouldn't have a problem either, but if they were too hurt, they wouldn't have Batsu... unless they were tested as a team? Tenshi didn't know, but he would watch them as they were tested. He returned to his thoughts, thinking about other ways to profile his enemies.

Tenshi was soon distracted by the food that was in front of him and pulled apart a pair of chopsticks. He lifted the box into his lap and began picking up the food and placing it into his mouth. It was succulent and juicy... Soooo delicious... He opened his eyes and looked over at Shirome, "I take it you are making the mental picture of yourself and applying it to your chakra to make the clone. You seem to have a pretty good control over it." She was a Fubuki, and they were excellent with chakra. What else were the gauntlets for?

"God, what a piss-poor introduction..." Batsu said as he looked up at the female. "Batsu Watanabe. If you need anything just let me..." It was then that Batsu noticed that there were two of the girl. That let him know two things. One, she was using Bunshin no Jutsu. Two, by her traaining that she was an academy student. He figured out all of this before Tenshi asked her what teacher she had. That goodness he was quick-willed.

"Ah... so you're learning Bunshin... and doing a nice job at it! Keep it up and you'll go far miss!" He smiled at her as he looked down at the bento box she placed next to him. It looked good, but he didn't want to start eating. The last thing he wanted was to get smudges on a library book. He had the money to replace it, but he didn't want to do it. So eating had to wait.

"My name is Fubuki Shirome, nice to meet you Batsu," Shirome had introduced, before she had even realised it herself, Shirome had given him a gentle smile and thanked him. Turning away, Shirome tapped her face. Her expression was different too this time, it was shocked, her voice had more of a cheery or gentle air about it. She was actually talking with emotions. This scared her incredibly. Shirome took a shuddering breath, trying to calm herself down. She had never sounded like this.. since then anyway, so was no longer monotone. It was like she was a kid on Christmas. Using the hand seals and the knowledge that Batsu and Tenshi gave her she conjured another replica of herself. Releasing it she smiled softly, her gaze gentle as she looked at Tenshi, "That's right, I'm in Mokujin's class, however I didn't see him.." she said with an adorable pout, her left cheek puffed out as she furrowed her brows.

"I won't ruin the surprise." There were two surprises he didn't want to ruin. One was that Mokujin was a puppet... with no strings... the second was how 'unique' Bumu sensei was with her training. He lifted a piece of pork to his lips and gently placed it into his mouth. He held the box to his lips and scooped some of the rice into his mouth as well. It was nice to simply do some relaxing training. He had to remind himself he still had more steps to the other jutsu he was learning. He'd have more time for that later...

He tried making himself comfortable, but his sword was poking into his side. He tried moving it around, but he was still rather uncomfortable. It was hard to concentrate on anything with something prodding your side and your back. Growing tired of trying to make himself comfortable, he simply took it off and placed it on the ground beside him. Much better...

He looked down at his food. How could he think of other things when a delicious meal was in front of him? He wanted to curse her for distracting him, but thank him for the thoughtful meal. The clash of two emotions ran through his mind, though he didn't look like he was fighting anything, sitting there stoically. "I will say this. If you were in Bumu-sensei's class, running off in the middle of it would be unwise... she turn you into a living pin-cushion." He made a serious face to her, but then changed it into a smile with a small chuckle. "Like Batsu said, just keep at it."

Batsu glanced over at Tenshi and laughed as continued to stuff his face. "Hey Tenshi, you might want to slow down with the food. You won't be that effective of a ninja if you are as big as a house and need to have someone help you run to the enemy." Batsu continued to laugh and he kept snickering as he continued to read through the book. He was actually getting a lot out of this book and sort of wanted to put some of what he learned into action.

"But Shirome, my one advice to you is to focus moreso on the aspect of physical features like Tenshi hinted at. Not many ninja can tell the difference in height between the clone and yourself using the two were standing side-by-side or the difference is great. Worry about that sort of thing later and fine tune the more important stuff now.' After he said that, Batsu licked the tip of his finger and flipped the page of the book. To his surprise, he was almost done already.
