Barring FW rules, I'd allow heavy stubbers as autocannons or heavy bolters. *shrug*

Why not allow them as Heavy Stubbers or Autocannons? I'm sure they're legit choices...

-Mykal
Yeah, why not use them as heavy stubbers. It's not like it'd be strange for Imps to use heavy caliber machine guns... The rules are in the Eye o' Terror codex so that's easily solved and I doubt anyone would mind if you included them in your army.

well if you used the same rules for the dismounted heavy stubber as you did for the pintal mountd heavy stubber I beleive you will have slved this issue. With opponents permission of course

Of course with permission, and when faced with whiners, just refer to that upcoming Imperial Armour book

Actually, the introductions of the Imperial Armour books state that the models can be used without your opponents consent.

Plus, the heavy stubber is already in the Imperial Guard codex. Meaning that the wheeled version is probably nothing more then a twin-linked lead belcher.

Aaaand, just because an army specializes in siege, doesn't mean that they can do other types of operations as well. Krieg is also known for it's fully armoured regiments.

My latest IA book has no such suggestion. Am I simply missing it?

Not to mention it would be really unsportsmanlike to field units from a non-core (ie. Forge World) book against your opponent's consent. Finally, in a tournament setting, as always, whether or not IA is allowed is the domain of the tourney organizers.

He doesn't necessarily have to go forgeworld, you could go steel legion with conversions. I know people who have loads of those old models lying around.

Even that's going to be pricey, as they aren't available from GW anymore, and they're highly sought after for that very reason. Which means he'll be handing over an arm and a leg over eBay or Bartertown.

im planning on starting a death corp army any advice?

I hear this might be useful.

Help @ u

-Mykal

if that was a joke I think Im a little to thick to get it...

That you'll need to take out a loan with your home as collateral in order to afford enough troops for a DKoK army from Forge World.

Just for reference, I thought I'd calculate the cost. 400 points of DKoK, 1 HQ Command Squad and 2 Troops Infantry Platoons will cost you US$394.72 from Forge World at today's exchange rate. That's BARE MINIMUM.

Also, holy s**t, you're from Papillion, NE. I'm from Omaha, though obviously I'm not there now. razz

(sorry it took me so long to post a reply)
dont worry about how Im going to pay for it, cost is no problem. I was asking for advice on how I should organize my army.

If cost is no problem, then a Forge World exclusive Imperial Guard army is just about the best option you have. razz

Also, Papio?

ok so should I focus on infantry or tanks or should I have a mix of both?
What would fit in with the Death Corp theme?

and yes Papio

DKoK have some great looking tanks, but ultimately tanks look like tanks look like tanks. It'd be tragic if you got into DKoK just to field an armored company or suchlike.

So if money is truly not an issue, droves and droves of brilliant-looking infantry would definitely be the way to go. (Especially those new rough riders! Yum!)

I concur. Troop it up.

However, there is the issue of there being about 9 "shooting" poses. D:

xd

I was actually thinking about getting that squad to house some sort of heavy weapon. Then I'd exchange the squad leader with a power weapon from another squad that only has one with a lasrifle.

Those are so damned lazy looking. The models are beautiful and have a lot of feeling to them, but damn, you think theyre on some watch post or at a training run. It just doesnt say "********, theres 'nids/orks/Traitors!"
