Dereck definitely didn't miss the way that Lyn was breathing, and it made his blood rush a little bit. She was even getting visibly tense every few minutes -- and from the baby books he read -- it sounded like she was going into labor. "You're lying to me, Lyn. I'm enjoying the time but you know if those babies are going to make an appearance then we need to get on the road. I'll always have a chance to see my sister, I'll only see my children born once." He was ready and prepared to get on the road and haul her stubborn little a** right to the hospital.

Jesse picked up the present that Mendez had brought and threw it out the front door after Mendez.
"Nobody wants your s**t a*****e!" Titus yelled and slammed the front door. His fists were clenched and he seriously was doing everything in his power not to go after Mendez.
"Okay people! Don't let that ******** ruin the party! C'mon....turn the music back on! Eat up people!" Titus looked around to find his brothers.

He noticed Lincoln flagging him over to the den. He moved the distance of the room and stepped in the den and quickly closed the door. Orion was pacing and cursing up a storm. Wolf and Hammer were in the room, arms crossed over their chest. They were awaiting instructions from the President who seemed to be going nuts currently.
"Ryder...We need to hold it together for now. Let this s**t ride out...then I will take care of it." Titus said and Ryder shook his head.
"Anything happens to that....son of a b***h....and they will be kicking in all of our damn doors. They won't care who did what, they will find a reason to take us all in. That leaves Grace unprotected and alone with Thomas." He swept his hand through his hair in frustration.
"Not if his body isn't found....we have Kill do his thing." Titus said in a quieter voice. Orion shook his head.
"Kill needs to be careful. What he does blows back on his girl now. We need to be careful and smart about this. Proceed with caution."
"I miss the good ole' where we shot first and asked questions later..." Lincoln grumbled under his breath.
"Tell me about it..." Titus replied and sat on the arm of the couch.
"Church..." Orion finally said and Titus stood up.
"Who will stay and watch Grace?" He asked as he looked around.
"Gather everyone up. Church. Tonight. Back at Hell's Gate. I will have Cadie stay put with Grace. You know her..."
"Yeah....I know she will need another lawyer if we leave her in charge." Lincoln said and shook his head.
"I will stay put with the girls." He stood up and looked at Orion.
"I will sit this one out. The Newbs should go, Jasper had been forced to sit so much out lately. Killian needs to be with his family right now." Orion stood up and started for the door.

He didn't care who went or who stayed. He just wanted them to figure out what they were going to do. Mendez could not be allowed to continue harassing Grace. Right now Grace was a target but what's to say in the future it wasn't Dianna or Wren? Or even Cadie, though....Orion didn't really worry to much about her honestly. She was like a cat that way, always seemed to land on her feet.

Lena wanted to stop Archie but she knew better. Her place was by his side, quietly in public. She knew the routine. Don't question your man in public, you got something to say you wait till you two are alone. Their life and reputation were at stake, and depended on how they behaved in public. That was her first lesson learned years ago with Joshua.

Soon as Archie was gone, Lena got up and sought out her son. She began to look around for her daughter. She wanted to make sure Cadence was not going to be mixed up in whatever was going down this time. She did not see her daughter and immediately she went off to find her, pulling her son along. He was complaining and whining a bit.

Joshua stepped out in front of Lena. He looked unhappy about something not that she cared really. Whatever crawled up his butt was his problem as far as she was concerned. Joshua and his feelings stopped being a concern of hers the moment he walked away from his daughter.
"Out of my way..." She snapped not in the mood for his crap today.
"Your looking for our daughter I am sure." She tried to side step him, but he just side stepped with her.
"MY daughter." She said as she glared up at her ex.
"She was never OUR daughter. She has been MY daughter. Since the moment I found out I was pregnant, she has been mine. You walked away, so don't think you get to come back now when she is grown up and be apart of her life you jerk off!"
"What the ********...?! YOU! YOU pushed me away! Then you, Elena and your a*****e husband strong armed me into giving up full custody of my daughter, so he could adopt her! How do you think that made me feel? How do you think her calling him Daddy made me feel?! Her crying for him the few weekends I tried to take her after you shacked up with him! Or how about the fact you REFUSED to allow my daughter to have my last name! You know what....this can all wait!" He really wanted to get all of this out in the open but he knew here and now was not the time.
"Don't yell at my Mom!" Tyson yelled and stepped between Lena and Joshua.
"You shut up kid!"
"Don't yell at my son, d**k!" She pulled Tyson back beside her.
"Our daughter is out front talking to some goddamn biker boy! Unless you want her living your life, you will get your narrow a** up there and end that s**t! You already failed her once after all Lena. For ******** sake, be a better Mother!"
"She is a grown woman! She can talk to and date whoever she wants!"
"The hell she can! Lena, my daughter is not going to date some damn trashy biker! I won't let her follow in your damn footsteps. She was already a pregnant teenager like you. Is that not enough for you? Or you want her shacked up with her version of Archie in the future to." Joshua's tone was nasty, and hurtful. He turned and started to walk away. Lena was temporarily speechless. Did he just call her daughter a mistake but defend her in the same breath, all the while calling Lena a whore. She was confused, hurt and frustrated.

She followed after Joshua, she would stop him from embarrassing Cadence. She understood Joshua felt guilty about his role as absent parent, but he could not waltz back into their lives and think he was going to just start bossing Cadence around. For one thing she was a grown up, for another Cadence would not have it, and then the most important issue. Lena would be damned if Joshua would get to play the role of parent now after all the years that had passed. Hell no! She wasn't having any of that!

She spotted Cadence and Jasper talking. She hurried up behind Joshua and grabbed his arm. She started to pull him away. He tried to pull away but she dug her nails in his arm.
"That's Jasper! You say anything to him and you will need a surgeon to remove my stiletto from your a**! Now get over here! Leave them alone! He is a sweetheart." He followed Lena though he was shooting Jasper dirty looks.
"That's the guy who knocked her up? Pffft! She always had a thing for pretty boys....Sweetheart! Yeah, because a biker should be a sweetheart. That will really keep him and his woman safe..." Joshua had always wanted better for his daughter, which was part of the reason he had agreed to walk away from Cadence. His fear as soon as he learned Lena was pregnant with a little girl was for a daughter to end up with a man like him.

Joshua knew what sort of guy he was. He was charming, handsome, and wild. He had played the field quite a bit in his day, even while he was married. He was a good father to his boys, but he wasn't the greatest husband. He had no problem providing for his family, money wasn't an issue. It never had been, it was the being loyal and faithful that was his problem. he loved beautiful women, and loved sex with beautiful women. He never expected to be a Father to a girl. He was fine with being a parent to his boys. He taught them many things, and was able to bond with them. With a girl...all he could think when he saw her was one day she would grow up. Go from a cute little girl to a beautiful young woman.

Beautiful women got male attention. The same sort of attention Lena had gotten. The same sort of attention that was responsible for Cadence's birth. that had been enough to scare him away at first. Then Elena's finding out about Lena's pregnancy.

She smiled shaking her red head,."Can't you enjoy the peace? Who knows how often we will get this."Lyn joked lightly. It was nice to be around more people, and nice to know maybe this whole family would be able to hang out everynow and then. But yet she knew Dereck was probably right. They should get going.

As another contraction with more intensity started, Nate came over to relay some information of what had just happened inside and that the party was over. She slowly stood with Dereck and nodded in agreement."Yes, we will go hon. Nate, do you want to stay here with Grace? Make sure she's ok, or is someone else already?"" She wasn't sure just how the planning was done; she wasn't there. But from what she had caught of what Nate was saying, she didn't think Grace should really be alone at the moment.

When Killian left to help his brothers, Diana cleaned away her's and Alyvia's plates.Hearing what Mendez said about the restraining order being revoked pissed her off greatly. There was no way that had happened so soon, not without some type of intervention. These cops in this town were just so corrupt it really got under her skin. how could any of them condone what he was doing to this woman?

When Killian returned mentioning they should go outside so Lyv could play, Di smiled and nodded. Then an older man stated the party was over.
Turning to Lyv, Di held the keys to her car from her purse."Here hon, we gotta go home. maybe we'll stop at the park. Go get in the car. We will be right there." Alyvia nodded and took the keys. She turned and gave Killian a hug "Thanks for a fun day, Dad"The young girl moved through the partiers leaving with Di and Killian following her. Outside, Di slowed her steps to put more space between them. As she spoke she didn't turn to Killian, just watched their daughter make her way to the car and unlock it to sit in the back seat. "Do you want to come by, or do you have to get going?" She had hear the other bikes leave. Was sure Killian was ready to leave with them.
And as much as she might wish he'd be with her tomorrow to say good-bye ot Lyv for a couple weeks, she understood he had business to deal with. He had his brother to help make sure Grace was safe.

Killian watched his daughter leave. He had really wanted this meeting to go well. With Mendez showing up and causing a scene he was sure Di wouldn't allow Lyv around his other family now. He took Di's hand in his, intertwining their fingers.
"Let me handle this s**t, and I will be over. Promise." He kissed her cheek let go of her hand.

He moved quickly to close the space between himself and Alyvia. Je crouched down at the window. He grinned at Lyv, hoping to reassure her that his people were not bad people.
"What kind of goodies do you want me to get you for the movie tonight?" He asked.

He spent a few more minutes with his girls before the left. Once they were out of sight he got in his car and went toward the bar. The bar was called Hell's Gate, and catered to a rougher crowd. Lots of bikers, and edgier people frequented the bar. Currently it was also acting as the MC' clubhouse as well as business.

He was the last to arrive but at least he was there. He took his seat and listened to what was going on. Orion was angry and wanted to deal with Mendez without any of them going down for it. He knew they all had too much to lose right now.

"That little c**k suc...!" Cadence tossed her hands up in outrage. She probably would have went after Mendez had she been here. That man made her temporarily insane with rage. He was scum, beyond scum and he was lucky she wasn't a man. She would have beaten him to death with her bare fists by now if she was.
"Cadence!" Lena said and gave her the Mom look. Cadence fell silent. She crossed her arms over her chest, and her one foot tapped the ground in-patiently.
"I hate that guy...hope he gets exactly what he has coming to him..." She picks up a few plates and roughly shoves them in the trash bag. All the while grumbling miserably to herself.
"Beat him like a pinata..." Joshua's eyes narrowed when Archie touched his daughter. It wasn't that he felt Archie would do anything to her, it was more a jealously thing. He had been trying to reach out to Cadence but so far the girl kept him at arms length. Not allowing him to get to know her better, or even hold a civil conversation with her.

It seemed she liked Archie. Of course she did. She liked David, and now Archie. Anyone that wasn't her birth father right? Or so it seemed in his eyes.
"Lena...you guys should head out. I can keep an eye on things here." Joshua finally said. Really he hated being around Archie, and Tyson... Tyson was a child so he could not hate an innocent child, but he did hate that Tyson looked so much like David. David and he had hated each other from the moment they met. They had fought over Lena and Cadence for many, many years until Joshua finally just walked away.
"I will go check on Grace. You guys really can head out. I got this under control." Cadence said and nudged her Mother toward the door.

Once Lena, Ty and Archie were gone Cadence finally went to check on Grace. Joshua took the large trashbag out, came back in and continued cleaning. Cadence was knocking lightly at Grace's door.
"Grace....?" She called out. She wasn't sure if Grace would want company at the moment. Poor woman had a rough night.
