I'm all kinds of confusion, yeah.

Still never understood the true to character part, since how are you supposed to know my character if you never seen them before? But it seems like a rather close fight, despite how bad I did.

True to character normally means your character had a consistent personality. It's suppose to mean "How well you roleplayed overall," which includes making the reader feel immersed. Here it's something more specific.

True to Character (One to Five Points)
Was the player true to their character? Did they do anything that didn't fit or did they make this too personal with OOC drama. Did they make it a 'no u' kind of match? Did they use anything outside of their profile?

You can't really judge this in my opinion. Nor should you try unless the person is using an iconic premade character from a well established series like DBZ or something. Otherwise, you have no way of knowing what is true to the character over his creator.

ImNoHero

Entertainment (One to Five Points)
Did this person make the fight interesting both to IC and OOC? Was it a fun experience for both players and did they contribute to a good read as a whole?

Winner (Winner gets an automatic addition of one points)
This one is simple, Did they win the fight IC.

WOW! Factor (An extra point available to those that absolutely wow you as a judge.)
Did this person do something amazing, something so spectacular, or were they just so awesome as a whole that you just had to give them an A for effort, win or lose?

These seem redundant. They technically all fall under the same category so essentially you are giving someone a huge point boost for being favorable....which arguably is what all rubrics do anyway on Gaia but yeah...no point in having three categories doing the same thing.

Just a suggestion for future CoCs.

Bottom page'd but bringing it back up more so for some healthy discussion.

We should be discussing how Bojuka Brown beat Athena.

I mean, he is Bojuka Brown. I didn't stand a chance, but still.

I guess this is Hero's way of pushing me to make GTB.

Immersion and being true to character seem synonymous but more so are correlating ideals than they are the same.

So staying "true to character" means exactly that regardless of where you go.

I don't want to or care to talk about personal results because it's a futile discussion.

I or you or anyone else can BAW their eyes out and it would not change the brackets.

So... I would rather help myself and Hero learn from this experience.

Double Impact definitely needs to happen.

I must rally the troops.

My biggest issue with the rubric specifically is that "domination" should be an inverse scale.

If I have a four...then my opponent should have a 2.

That said, I've been given a second shot...So, at least there's that. pirate

I'm hardly upset. More humored than anything.

Agreed there. I never understood the thought process behind having opponents having an equivalent dominance score. Kinda negates the definition of the word.

Never said you were...just saying that whether or not you are being serious, complaining and riling up people about things that no longer matter is a waste of time.

We should instead discuss what should make a good tournament since our premiere tournament is no longer gonna be had (HoH) and people have lost faith in the other one (GTB).

If the community is still looking to participate, the void must be filled and there is no reason CoC can't be the next HoH in time...needs work right now but if Hero wants to put a little effort into it next time, he could hit that point.

Hey now, no one lost faith in GTB but losers. It still thrives, and I already have plans for its annual release. Just not yet cause I'm busy with five different things at once right now.
