Loki nodded when Tony stated that he wasn't sure what type of horses were easy to come by here. "We can look when we get that far." Loki assured. "Moving to the mansion will give fury more room to expand through the tower and allow for those closest to you to have a place to call home?" Loki clarified as they approached the main area.

Tony gave a small shrug to the question. “Yes and no. Fury is pushing to add some people I’m close to, like Rhodey, so of course I’d let people like that stay, but there are some who need to be kept under watch as well. Like if you had come straight from Asgard to be a part of the Avengers and we hadn’t started a relationship, you may have been invited, but you’d have to stay with us so we could make sure you didn’t do something bad.” He explained.

Loki listened when Tony clarified a bit more by explaining that fury was pushing for people like rhodey. "You mean come from Asgard without the previous encounter of new York and the Chitauri. If I had merely come from Asgard I do believe I would have been locked away by your director." Loki stated. Stopping as they approached the entrance to the main area he took a breath before nodding to tony and entering the main area.

“You’d have been locked up yes, but it may have been possible to talk yourself into a spot, as an effort to reconcile a little.” He replied. Pausing outside the room with Loki, he pulled him a little closer to comfort him. ‘You’ll be fine Lo.’ He murmured across the bond as they entered. Inside, Natasha and Clint were playing some target game on the Wii, Bruce and Jane on the couch behind them watching. Steve was in the kitchen area, cooking up a storm as Tony had hoped. They weren’t noticed at first, but Jane eventually spotted them and looked back at them. Looking over Loki, her face was unreadable, but she didn’t say anything. Bruce followed her gaze and smiled slightly. “Didn’t think we’d see the two of you today.” He said lightly. That was enough to draw the attention of everyone else. Steve turned to Loki and looked him over slowly, sizing him up before giving him a little smile. “Hope you both are hungry, With Thor not here right now, the usual meal size is a bit big.” He said, going back to his cooking.

Loki was a bit surprised to hear that he would have been locked up. But he may have been allowed out if he had traded time on the team. He looked around the room noticing everyone being busy. When Jane looked to him he tensed when she said nothing he looked to bruce returning the smile. "The need for food drew us out." Loki responded. Looking to Steve as attention was drawn to them he smiled seeing the man smile to him. "Starving." Loki replied with a laugh. "What is it you are making?" Loki questioned moving into the kitchen. He felt more comfortable with no one saying anything and now he could check up on the food to make sure there was nothing harmful.

Tony held Loki close as Jane and Steve looked him over, almost daring them to say anything. When they stayed silent and Loki relaxed a little, Tony took a breath he hadn’t realized he’d been holding. Letting go of Loki as he moved to the kitchen, Tony moved to the couch, resting his arms on the back and beginning to speak with Bruce and Jane, knowing Steve wouldn’t say anything dumb to Loki.
Steve looked back to Loki as he stepped into the kitchen. “Pan roasted chicken breasts, herb infused rice, steamed vegetables, and yeast rolls. There is also some cobbler for desert.” He said lightly, never stopping his movements as he looked over Loki once more now that he was closer. “You alright? Bruce said there was some trouble on Asgard.”

Loki hummed in interest when the man told him what they were having for dinner. "That sounds wonderful. Can I help with anything?" Loki questioned moving to wash his hands. He didn't mind Steve's eyes on him as long as the man said nothing, he knew his form was strange. Hearing Steve ask if he was alright he nodded with a sad smile. "Alot happened on Asgard, and I am afraid both bruce and Tony saw some of the worst it had to offer. Thanos also took control and had me steal the gauntlet, as such I am no longer allowed on Asgard for testing foreseeable future. Loki explained.

Steve nodded slightly. “The rice will need some more herbs now.” He said, motioning to the cooking rice. Listening to Loki, he shook his head. “I’m sorry. I know a little of what it’s like to not be able to be home.” He said gently. Sure, the tower and the Avengers were home, but he wanted to be in his own time, with people he’d grown up with and fought beside. “But at least all of you came out uninjured, well mostly.”

Loki moved to the rice when Steve stated that it needed more herbs. He was glad to have something to do while they spoke. He was careful in measuring and adding the herbs that were needed. "I thought you might." Loki stated when Steve apologized and stated that he knew what it was like to not be able to return home. "I do not know if Asgard is really my home any longer. The thing that gets me the most is that my mother had to take the throne during our visit. Odin is no longer suitable and now I can not see her." Loki swallowed harshly. That thought still caused pain in his chest. "Yes mostly uninjured except for my new form and a bit of illness." Loki nodded. It was true it could have been worse, nearly had been.

Steve hummed at the explanation. “Politics always causes problems.” He said with a little frown. “Bruce said there is some hope for correcting some things that went bad for you before though.” He said slowly. He didn’t know all the specifics, but Bruce had said that the courts had seemed to be ruling in Loki’s favor and that there was too much evidence against those that had tried to hurt him.

Loki nodded in agreement when Steve said that politics always caused problems. He knew that all too well having to deal with them all his life. "I am hoping that things do get fixed but it remains to be seen. As it was we left before Sif and Fandral were put on trial." Loki stated. "I have very little contact with Asgard right now except from my mother's gazing bowl or when Thor returns." Loki Continued keeping his emotions locked down .

Tony, now hanging half over the back of the couch after being handed a controller to try and get past a part in the game, sensed Loki’s emotions and stretched out his mind for the man. ‘Babe?’ he asked over the bond softly, ready to pull Loki out of there if he had to.
Steve arched a brow at Loki’s words. “Gazing bowl? Magic of some sort?” he asked slowly. He knew better than to continue talking about Asgard itself or what was going on there. He was smart enough to see when someone was uncomfortable.

'I am alright Tony. We are merely discussing what happened on Asgard.' Loki assured Tony when the man checked on him. He knew that even though his emotions didn't show on his face that Tony would feel them through the bond. "It is a magic that will allow me and my mother to speak through the reflections in the water. I will not be able to speak with her more than about once a week though due to the duties of the throne." Loki explained. "Is there anything else I can do?" Loki questioned.

Tony accepted the explanation and returned his full attention to what he was doing and to trash talking with Clint, much to the amusement of the others. Steve gave a small hum of understanding. “Well that’s still good, there are a lot of people that don’t even talk that much though they have the ability to.” Steve smiled gently, honestly trying to help with Loki’s mood. When asked what else needed to be done, Steve stepped away from the vegetables he’d been working on. “Why don’t you finish this, I’ll get everything out of the oven and put the finishing touches on it….I think dinner is almost ready.” He smiled, not wanting to make Loki deal with the oven in his current form.

Loki listened to tony talk trash at clint as he explained things to Steve. "I do not understand why." Loki stated with a frown. Nodding as Steve asked him to finish the vegetables he was relieved to not have to deal with the heat of the oven. "Great I am hungry, I do not think I have eaten anything since this morning when Tony made waffles."
