"Yes of course I will teach you!" Muka actually hugged her now, lifting her up from the ground with a happy squeeze around the waist. He was genuinely happy about the direction the night had gone and with the last strains of the song playing he knew their dance was done. "We will invent, ah.. hmm.. needle friendly dancing." He giggled and picked her hand up to his mouth. There was a familiar forcing of lips to kiss the back of it. "Would you like to go?"

Well, this was it! This was probably going to be her last dance for the evening--and thus her last dance for the second annual prom--and despite the song, it was going to be a silly one. Hoping that this would cheer up Riyo at least a little, she turned and shot Sio a thumbs up before proceeding to...uh...

...dance...?
Nobody said Xiu was a good dancer. Fortunately, she had taken care to ensure that they were not right smack dab in the middle of the dance floor (and so that they were not disturbing the serious dancers, like Lizzy and Mr. Grumpyface). That being said, even as she "danced", she still couldn't resist snapping a few last minute pictures of some of the other students. Sigh. All in all, it hadn't been too bad of a prom! ...She just wished that she still had her shoes. Walking back to the dorms in her stockings would not be very fun.

The poor ghoul's smile made her heart ache.
You know, She lifted her tentacles to rest over her shoulders, so that she could see them. I kind of feel the same. There was a time, I suppose, when these would have been a sign of weakness. Illness. Infection. She reached up with one hand and brushed her tentacle. But now, they are scars of a victory. Her eyes slit. A victory over death is the finest of victories indeed.
Her delight waned, as she felt the wave of emotion pass over her. It didn't need to be beside her, nor did it need to be reaching out to her.. she could feel Malodore from wherever she was. Her eyes automatically lifted, and her brow furrowed as she saw the sag in it's posture.
I would still trade it away to make none of it happen, however. She murmured, her eyes trained solely on Malodore. It hurts, even now. I would wish for none of it.

"...Ah!" Amrita squeaked out as Aymet vanished. He dissipated, she knew he did, but...it was still a shock, even if it was common. The ghoul stared down into her now-empty hands for a moment or two, letting the realization of what happened sink in. Malodore's distress was clear even to her, and she cast a smile towards the Doctor.
"Y-you're right. I'm sure he did too." As it stood she followed it with her gaze, slowly catching on as to why it seemed so out of sorts. "Thank you for your help, Mal. I appreciate it." With that she got to her feet as well, dusting her dress off to distract her from just bolting out to check on her friend. "And you all, thank you so much, too!" Honest - albeit weak - smiles were cast towards Jericho and Shehk, the only two remaining around them. The others she'd have to thank later.
Still resisting the urge to flee and check up on him, Amrita turned to Christof next, stepping closer almost shyly. "Is...is it okay if I go? To check on him? You won't...you won't be mad if I do?" If he would be mad or upset with her she'd stay of course; as worried as she was about Aymet, she had been pretty lousy at being a date to the Igor.

"Me too~" Mac smiled, closing his eyes and leaning his forehead against hers. He kept their hands linked, resting against his own chest. "Can I honestly say I miss the misunderstandings, somewhat?" It made life interesting. Less interesting than...other things...but interesting nonetheless.
"And I wish we'd gotten more wall time." He couldn't help but laugh, but he at least attempted to keep it quiet due to their proximity."Ah!" The sudden hug made her chuckle, instantly pulling her arms from their instinct to hold on tighter. She had hurt him once already, she didn't want to do it again! Instead she nuzzled him when he set her back down, grinning away. "I would appreciate that...I would like at least one event where you do not have to fear getting impaled." Even hugging was a strain, as comfortable as it was. Damn her needles, she wanted them gone!
Knowing the strain it put on him, his kiss to her hand was touching, causing a small dusting of colour on her cheeks. "Yes, please." Needle replied softly, coupled with a small nod. Ending it here seemed like a great idea; a natural stopping point for one event, only to easily lead into a nightly trip to the lake! It seemed like the perfect plan to her.

Her eyes left Riley's face to watch the moving tentacles. The stripes were everywhere. At least Riley didn't..see them as weakness. That was a nice change from how the Riley she'd first met would have seen them. Junko gave the corners of her eyes one last check before reaching a tentative hand out to touch one of the tentacles. Her touch was gentle, tracing the stripes with the tips of her fingers. They didn't feel different. The texture of the striped and non-striped skin was flawless, it was the same. It was like she'd been born that way. "It is.." She giggled. "So are you..um...better now? I mean like..you know..." Did she simply have the stripes or did she also have the infection still? Riley hadn't referred to herself in plural form talking to her, and considering Jericho was having so much trouble with it she could only imagine how Riley was feeling. "I'm um..I'm sorry about...earlier. I just...I was surprised." She cleared her throat. "Malodore told me and, well, it's one thing to be told..it's another to actually witness it. I didn't know you'd be coming tonight." Junko's shoulders slouched a bit as she apologized. She did feel bad for her behavior before. Riley had been so important to her, like the encouraging mother she'd never had, and she'd run away from the very sight of her just because she was a little thrown off by it. She felt terrible. Junko looked up again to find Riley looking elsewhere, following her gaze to find Malodore not too far away. "...I can't..even imagine...I've only ever dissipated once in my entire life. I don't know what it'd be like to...well.." Junko rubbed at the back of her neck a moment, looking from Malodore to Riley again. "..May I have another hug, Riley?" Just one more, then she'd let her return to Malodore. One more reassurance that the mindflayer was alive and not just a figment of a stress-induced imagination.

As if on cue the new song started, a faster happy beat. The strix was fine with leaving before they were pulled into some other new crazy dance line. He tucked Needle's hand in the crook of his elbow and weaved towards the tables. The strix stopped briefly to retrieve the ghoul's flowers and then with only a finaly glance around the room, led them out. [EXIT with Needle ]

"... Please don't created new misunderstandings," Lizzy pouted, narrowing her eyes at him with a suspicious look. His comment about the wall made her blush again, and she lowered her voice, just for him, "Hmmm, you know that sleepover? Maybe we could bring it forward... There's a wall in your room..." And prom was ending soon...

Junko's touch was taken with great care, and Riley held no offense to it. She was sure the ghoul meant nothing inappropriate, despite how it felt. But the question brought a sadness to Riley's eyes.
I am not. Within me, Insanity still survives. I am merely an example of the possibility of hope, but no assurance of it. She shook her head, and sighed. Nothing can be assured.. but I will never stop fighting. That was why she had been the one to survive the grueling experience.. was it not? The death after death after agonizing death.. only to come out alive in the end, regardless of the implausibility.
She was a fighter. And she would keep fighting. That was her way.
She reached out, and gave Junko her requested hug. Do not apologize. I don't blame you for anything. Her arms tightened around the ghoul. You are here now. That is what matters.

Needle followed Ulmuka, taking her flowers back once they were returned. Best Prom Ever!
[Exiting!] "I wont, I won't! I was just saying...it feels odd not arguing to this song." Mac laughed again, shaking his head in such a way that he ended up nuzzling her. Even as she song changed he was happy to keep dancing as they were, swaying to the tune of Exile Vilify that played in his head.
All the dancing stopped however, at her...suggestion.
"Oh ho? I think that can be arranged, if you would like to leave early?" He was grinning wide now, quite interested in the offer she had laid out for him. "I would like a, ah, sleepover."

Letting out a sigh, Jericho looked around to try and see where everyone had gone. They had more or less scattered once Aymet dissipated. Not too far off, he spotted Riley with Junko. And well.. he soon realized that with Prom coming to a close, it likely meant she would have to leave soon as well.
Frowning, he wandered on over towards the Mindflayer.
"You... have to leave soon don't you?" he said sadly once he was within earshot.

Riley's answer was wordless. With Junko still in one arm, held close against her chest, Riley reached the other arm out for Jericho to fall into. Her cheek rested against the top of Junko's hair, and her eyes tilted into crescents in content.

She might not have said anything, but it was all he needed. Jericho glanced to the ground for the moment, but then moved in to join in on the hug. He didn't want her to go. he whispered mentally.

" Si... I did not do much, but... when you go, tell Infermiera Cricket of the state of his... ah, I do not know the word. His talisman?" It gestured, outlining the shape of the phylactery with its hands. Amrita would take care of it... it would be all right... It sighed as it walked away properly. Surely everything would be well... surely... It raised its head a bit and scanned the room until it found Riley; for a moment, it did not see her, and panic rose in it. Had she left? Had Vek took her back without it saying goodbye? - no, no, there she was; her form had been obscured by Jericho's bulk. Wings rasping, it hurried towards them, realizing that Junko was there as well. Ti ho trovato, it sighed into her mind as it approached, feeling weary and fragmented. But she was here, still, thank Jack, and it would be well for her sake-

"I guess it does, in a way," Lizzy agreed with a light giggle, squeezing her eyes shut at the nuzzle, "The last two times we danced to this, I ended up being upset for one reason or another... Third time's the charm?" The road here wasn't easy, but... It was worth it, most of the time.
"Prom is ending soon anyway... I'm sure that we won't be missed if we leave right now," Besides, for now, she would be much happier away from... This place. Or rather, from certain people here, even if she was running away from the problem. Being alone with Mac sounded like something she needed, "You'll have to go to my room in the morning the next morning, to get me something to wear though."
Just like last year.
Without saying anything more, she smiled, tugging Mac out the door, past the bush to retrieve the trowel, and then headed straight to the reaper dorms... This time, just the two of them.
