Dionysus turned to face Ganymede again, seething in silent anger, fire alight in his eyes as he glared into the boy's eyes, "We did. You aren't the only one who suffered under his hand. We're still fighting him, we always are. He kicked us out, Ganymede, what were we supposed to do? First Apollo, then Hermes and I, then Athena and Aphrodite.... We weren't the ones who hurt you... So ar eyou going to act like a child and rebel against us all, or are you going to finally realize that there was only one god to blame, the god that we are fighting against as well...." He turned and the bindings holding Adel vanished. He caught his lover before he could make any move toward Ganymede and walked them back to Adel's room. He sighed, taking Adel inside and shutting the door behind him.

Adel was trembling slightly, "Just....what happened to him?" he asked, this was the first that he heard that Ganymede's forced confinment wasn't pleasent. Hearing the myths and reading up on them, was very different from actually meeting the people and beings that suffered the actual events.
Ganymede lay on the bed silent tears leaking out of his eyes, Gods, he hadn't cried for years, not since.... Tring to shake the memories lose he got up and made sure that the door was locked, thought locks wheren't any encumburance to the gods if they really wanted to come in. The youth felt a bit more secure knowing that the message of the locked door would tell them that he didn't want to face them, that he wanted to be left alone.

Dionysus sighed and laid a soft kiss on Adel's cheek, stroking his hair back a bit, "Sit down, love...." He lead Adel to the bed, sitting down himself. He mostly looked at his hands as he began to explain, "Ganymede's story isn't a pleasant one... He was born the son of the Trojan King, a man named Tros.... In those times, young men destined for glory were sent into the wild in exile to survive on their own for years at a time.... Zeus saw young Ganymede at the top of Mount Ida, tending a flock of sheep.... He couldn't have been more than 13 at the time... Apollo and I were still young as well, only a few centuries old..... Zeus wanted Ganymede in a lust that quickly turned into a sick obsession.... He kidnapped the boy and brought him to Olympus. Tros was angry and tried to bargain with Zeus to get his son back. No one really knows what Zeus finally gave Tros in return for keeping his son, but we never heard from Tros afterward, although he remained king of Troy... At first Ganymede was treated as a pet, Zeus was infatuated with him, dressing and making him up.... But he kept the boy in chains, which we should have caught onto imediately... It wasn't long before Zeus tired of waiting for the boy to grow to maturity and brutally took him.... And after that, nothing was off limits.... He took what he wanted from Ganymede, leaving the boy sobbing for hours into the night... Zeus kept his pet under lock and key, not allowing any of the gods near his toy, snapping at us and punishing us for even looking at Ganymede... Zeus always made sure Ganymede was physically healthy and well-fed, but this only seemed to be cancelled out by the horrors he showed Ganymede in the bedroom.... few of the gods knew what really happened to poor Ganymede....... Zeus had me-..... He had me take Ganymede once... Under his supervision.... Ganymede clutched to me, trembling and crying afterwards... It was the most mercy and pleasure he hd ever been shown in bed... I can never forget the look on his face, his voice, hoarse from screaming.... It never got easier for Ganymede.... Apollo and I tried to sneak in small pleasantries for him, but ultimately, there was nothing we could do.... I don't know what happened after we were exiled from Olympus, but someone Ganymede got free... and I couldn't be more happy about that...." He sighed slowly and inched closer to Adel, stroking his hair back, "Do you understand now why I can't morally punish him for his bitterness... I wouldn't expect anything different from someone who has been through what he has.... I only wish we could have done something..." He met Adel's eyes, "Can you really be angry with Ganymede when you two have felt the same pain and betrayal? Would you not want to run me through with a spear in his position?"

The boy was trembling badly now. hearing the story, told from the lips of one who saw, who sympthized...tired to help. He swollowed hard and nodded. Feeling sick to his stomache, an unwelcome familier feeling. What if he hadn't been rescued? If he had to stay with that man who violated him nearly everyday? He was lucky, in a way. That Apollo and Endymion took him away before his granfather considered him old enough to rape him. He closed his eyes, trying to focus on something else other then Ganymede's horriable past. "You...told me before....that Gods become awakened the first time they make Love right?" Adle's blue eyes opened glimmering. "What Zeus did to him....wasn't in love." he glanced away not wanting to say the rest of his thoughts. Perhaps, Ganymede had fallen in love with Dionysus....

Dion took Adel into his arms gently, holding him close and stroking his hair and back, nuzzling his cheek, "No, it wasn't... Awakening has to be an act of pure mutual want and desire.... Love makes it stronger, but a single moment of pure love can work as well.... But there has to be a mutual act of pleasure, a moment of pure abandonment to the other person, a need to please them as much as yourself... Not just any sexual act qualifies.... I'm not sure if my encounter with Ganymede is what woke him, but I never saw him use any powers on Olympus... It's understandable though, he was in no state to fully sacrifice himself to pleasure..."

"Then...tell me how was he able to use powers before like a god if he didn't?" Adel asked, his expresion serious."Maybe he didnt' know it himself." The boy pulled away, no longer in the mood in cuddle. his clothing hung oversized around his frame. Now that the excitment was over, he was back in his smaller form. It was late, the sun had arleady set when they had brought Ganymede and Apollo into the the house and Adel felt mentall and physically exuasted from staying in his demi-god form for too long. The boy pulled off the baggy clothing and reatched for a clean set of PJs.

Dionysus stood as well, stretching slowly, "Could be... or he could have been awakened after he escaped from Zeus.... I don't remember him ever exhibiting any powers on Olympus... But then again, he could have been hiding them...." He walked over and pressed a kiss to Adel's forehead, then kissing his soft lips. He always felt a little strange being affectionate with Adel's child form, but he didn't hold back. If he hesitated, he knew it would only upset his young lover, so he stroked through that soft hair, giving Adel a smirk, "I'll be back... I'm going to bring some food up to Ganymede, make sure he's ok..."

Adel smiled. "Ok." He didnt' mind it so much being his child's form, now that he knew he can shift back and forth with a little help. He dressed in his PJs and went to the bathroom to get ready for bed.
Ganymede lay in the darkness. He was awake, his mind playing over and over the day's event's. How could he have failed so misrably? the plan was perfect untill Seraphina betrayed him.....Seraphina... His hands clenthed, She's like all the others....unreliable.

Dionysus smiled and stepped out of the room, padding down the stairs in the quiet house. He knew Ganymede wouldn't forgive any of them quickly, but he wanted to help it along as much as possible. He had gotten attached to the poor boy during most of his life. He smirked when he found that Maria and Jenny had made a good hearty meal, fresh, puffy rolls and steaks with sauteed mushrooms and onions. He made a plate, putting it all on a tray with water and silverware. He walked up the stairs, the tray in his arms. Outside Ganymede's door, he knocked lightly, "Ganymede.... Hey, it's me.... I-um.... I'm sorry about earlier.... I didn't mean to be so.... so harsh, I guess... I knowyou probably won't let me in, but there's food.... I'll leave it outside your door... It should stay hot for a while.... And don't even consider that it might be drugged, what would be the use of that now?...."

Ganymede said nothing, curling up slighty on the bed he was laying on, he didn't even borther to close the curtians or open a light, it didn't really matter to him anyways. "...leave me alone." He mumbbled, buring his face in a pillow. Trying to keep the tears at bay. There was so much that he wanted to say to Dionysus, to ask him why hadn't he.....Why didn't he hear his prayers? Did he chose not to hear? the begging pleading words every day after that One night? He swollowed hard. Dionysus had made that one night last forever, a dream. Now that it appeared that the god had chosen a new lover all he ever had of Dion was that dream. nothing more.

Dionysus sighed, just barely able the soft words over his own pounding heartbeat. He set down the tray ajust to the side of the door and leaned against the rich, wood door, pressing his ear to it, as if hoping to hear more. He wondered if Athena had taken away his ability to hear prayers... Surely not, it was what kept a god alive, after all.... He leaned closer and whispered his prayers, "Forgive me.... I know I should have tried harder, rebelled more, so you could be free..... You didin't deserve to be used, no one deserves that..... You deserved much much better.... I'm sorry I didn't give that to you.... Please forgive me...."

hearing the prayers, The youth curled up even tighter, As the sensation like cold fire wash through him. it felt him gasping, it had been to long....far too long since he felt a prayer of anykind. Trembling he sat up and growled through clenthed teeth. "Leave me Alone!!" He couldn't say more, tears ran their chorce down his face. He swollowed back the sobs that threatened. Ganymede didnt' want Him to know how weak he was.

Dionysus sighed and leaned against the door once more before saying in a soft voice, "Goodnight...." He stepped back, running a hand through his hair before walking back to his own room to grab some pajama pants. He reappeared back in Adel's room, smiling a bit sadly, "You ready for bed, love?"

Ganymede bruied his face into the pillows, muffling his wracked sobs.
Adel, freshly brushed, washed, combed was sitting in bed, he looked up when Dion came in, noteing his expresssion he nodded and moved over. "How's he doing?"

Dionysus absent-mindedly stripped off his clothes as he spoke, "Not too well, unfortunately.... He wouldn't take the food, or even come to the door.... I prayed to him, but it only made him more angry.... He's been through so much though, it really wouldn't surprise me if he decided to ever make peace with the gods...." He traded out his boxers for the flannel pajama pants before climbing into bed beside Adel. He strokes that smooth blonde hair, "How are you feeling, love?"
