Maggie began her journey through the snow. She wondered where she had found herself now, in the snowy, icy, inhospitable place she was in at the moment.
Sounds... from the north. Or south? East, west? She couldn't even tell directions here. If "here" had any directions to it.
After a moment... a presence, sensed directly behind her. Maggie whirled and punched almost a moment too late, but as it was, she ended up with a decrepit little mutant body impaled on her outstretched arm.
Oozing guts and fluids.
Maggie's face became overwhelmed with disdain and disgust. She slowly forced the creature off of her arm, before suffering a painful bite to her leg.
More of them. Great. Summoning her energy, Maggie thrusted her psyche outwards, causing a physical reaction in the snow. All of it, the snow, airborne or grounded, was suddenly pushed away from her until their wasn't a single snowflake within five yards of her person. All the mutants were half-buried, as well.
Underneath was - more snow. Maggie had not been prepared to levitate herself, however, and fell into the crater seven or eight feet below her.
She sensed life in all directions, now. Malignant life. Everywhere.

Its pretty funny. ...also, I know this may be spam, but I think if Techni watches it, she'll excuse me of the consequences. It's doubly funny, since I've just taken... one semester of spanish. Layla glanced up at the ceiling of the cavern, something from above was rattling around the caverns -hopefully it wouldn't cave in. So, to avoid such an occurrence, Layla hurried her pace and made her way to the giant walls of pure Shivasai crystal. The beautiful blue crystals shone brightly, illuminating the many dark passages that led in further. But no, Layla did not stop here to gather some crystals, these were too dim, old and worn out, she wanted the most prime and brightly shining crystal she could find. Layla went down the longest and darkest passages in this cavern, surely better things would be found down this far! And she was correct, brighter and bluer crystals aligned the walls in this next passage, perfect. Layla finally settled upon a nice section of crystal, and pierced into the thick wall with a special kind of blade, something about this particular tool was able to cut through incredibly tough crystal and rock, and she wasn't really sure what. After gathering her large hunk of crystal, she headed down even further into the cavern, searching for Mithros ore. Little did Layla realize just what was ahead of her.

Vexis watched with amazement as whoever it was used that...ability, it fascinated her deeply. She approached very cautiously, drawing up more of that blue energy from the ground to form a barrier of some sort around herself. She looked down into the deep crater from her distance, occasionally jumping back out of sight when she thought the person might have seen her. 'Who IS that? She looks kinda familiar...but I don't know where I recognize her from...' Vexis wondered, still playing her game of looking, then jumping back. Though her existence was probably noticed by now, especially with all the bright blue Shivasai energy -that she was unaware of- she was taking from the ground now.
((Sorry about how long it took, mom was hovering over my shoulder for the past 2 farking hours!

((This is interesting. Yes, indeed... they should become allies, neither realizing that they're actually enemies... should create some conflict further down, anyway.))
Maggie pulled herself up out of the snow... it was very compacted underfoot. Possibly transformed into sleet.
Standing, she glanced around. There was still life swarming in the ground below... and the ground around her. It was everywhere. Maggie suddenly felt the presence of a massive being... it pushed against the walls of her mind, as if by being close its aura conflicted with her own.
A subconscious realization that she was in danger, Maggie immediately jumped out of the crater - and accidentally landed right on Vexis.

((Actually, they aren't necessarily enemies when it comes down to technicalities, after all, Vexis only killed Damien because she was hired to -not out of hatred towards the Atlantis's crew, plus, she actually saved Maggie's brother instead of choosing to help Aerclayr. But then again...LOGIC DOES NOT APPLY IN SPACE!! xDDDD))
Vexis hadn't had enough time to jump out of the way, so instead, Maggie had indeed landed on her. What was her barrier at one time, melted back into the blue energy and engulfed her in it. Vexis briefly disappeared in a puff of blue, then popped back into existence not too far away. "What the hell was THAT? That was awesome!!" Vexis yelled out to apparently no one, talking about her newly discovered ability to pop into other areas. "Hmm...maybe its the Shivasai energy?" Vexis mumbled on, before finally noticing the other person ahead of her again. "Oh! You're that person who caused that...right? What was that ability, anyway?" Vexis asked Maggie from her distance, gesturing towards the large crater that was made by her.

Maggie stared at Vexis for a few moments. "I take it that you're no friend of the many creatures borrowing under us," she stated, bending down to examine her bitten leg. "We should prepare to stave off many of those creatures... there are big ones, getting closer."
Without a doubt, the creatures were 'getting closer.' Maggie could feel their presence. Especially that of the two big ones.
Maggie closed her eyes for a moment, before slowly pointing in a direction perpendicular to where she was in relation to Vexis. "They'll come... first from that direction. Are you able to fight?" she asked, even then crouching into a fighting stance.

"Oh, those mutant things? Don't worry, the little ones are easy, and Shade will take on any big enemies!" Vexis assured her, but found herself searching around for something soon after. "Wait....where'd he go?"
Shade appeared directly behind Vexis, then literally kicked her in the a** as a joke. "You're certainly not the most observant, I've been behind you for exactly 8.7 seconds..." Shade said with a humored smirk on his shadowy face, then looked onward to their seemingly ally. "Mere civilians should stay in or near their home town, you know. This is no place for people to wander frivolously..." He warned, assuming and mistaking Maggie for someone who just lived nearby.
"HEY!! WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR!?!?!" Vexis got up out of the snow, immediately starting up another shouting contest between her and Gunther. Though she was immediately brought back to attention when the ground started to shake -something BIG was coming. "Oh, my...." Vexis' annoyed expression immediately changed to that of alarm, off in the distance could be seen the outline of the creature, and it was almost ten times bigger than even the Mutant's leaders.

Maggie immediately began glowing - the telltale sign that she was ready for powerful telekinetics. Glancing at Gunther, she said, "I am from Eseptos, where none are civilian until our planet is free from oppression. I shall help you," she added.
The snow seemed to avoid her, seemingly luck to one who had not witnessed her earlier feat.
Turning to Vexis, Maggie replied to the mercenary's earlier question. "I have telekinetic abilities, nothing more." Except the bouts of omnipresence, she added silently. Plus other disturbing abilities... though she wasn't sure what all else....

(( This is similar to how I see the giant mutant, if anyone needed a reference image. )) "You've certainly come a long way from home..." Shade mused, his shadow blade in hand, ready for the oncoming battle. He turned to face the behemoth of a mutant, his yellow eyes flared with the trace of some odd energy, almost flame like. He glanced down at Vexis briefly "You seem to have more supportive skills than offensive. We need you to stand back and use whatever kind of barrier or healing you can when we need it, alright?" Vexis nodded. Shade looked back to Maggie again. "And you, just do whatever you please, as long as you don't get in my way." Shade stepped forward towards the beast at this, waves of shadowy flames started to emanate from him. Vexis closed her eyes in concentration for a moment, pulling up as much Shivasai energy as she possibly could. She held out her arms in front of her, bluish light started to surround both Shade and Maggie in their own individual barriers. It wasn't much protection, but at least it could help somewhat. "Alright...those should hold until that thing is dead..." Vexis explained, then pulled out her own weapons of sorts -obviously not planning to follow Shade's directions. "ONWARD!!" Vexis foolishly rushed towards the enemy, not even noticing that there were more, smaller enemies near it.
