“Kevin, huh? Nice to meet you too.” She shook the boy’s hand happily. “I only just left Ecruteak City and I’ve never been in a real battle before, but how about we do a one on one? My Duskull versus one of your Pokemon.” She said eagerly. The only other time she had ever battled before was with her brother, but that didn’t really count. This was the real deal now. She grinned widely just thinking about it.
Hearing this, Hades went into battle formation immediately. He hung out his big red tongue and threw his ghostly arms into the ridiculous martial arts poses he had witnessed on the television a few days prior. He was ready for his first challenge. Bring it on.

Sabrina smiled as the Indigo Plateau came into view. "Wow... it's been forever since I've been here. Heh. It feels like this place is just a dream, a place I can only go to in my mind. It's so surreal to see it again." She continued to beam as they touched down at the entrance, Whitney recalling her Pokemon. "So. Are you ready to lessen those psychic waves of yours? Are you okay with your old associates seeing you again?" She grinned. "Yeah, Whitney," the elder girl replied, "I think I'm ready. I'm ready to start coming back into the open. I can't do it completely yet, because I still need to figure out a plan of attack on Maorde and potentially Phoenix as well. I feel that when he's out of the way, then I'll be able to come out entirely. But if he's out there, I know that I'm not safe... agh. You know what, we can't worry about him right now. We have other matters to attend to." And without further ado, the girls walked inside, where they were greeted by an incredulous Lance.
"Oh my god!" he exclaimed, running toward Sabrina, embracing her in an all-too-tight hug. "Sabrina, I can't believe that you're really okay! I can't believe you're here!" He was on the verge of tears as Sabrina smiled. "It's okay, Lance. It's good to know that I've been missed, and I want you to know that I could apologize a thousand times and still not even come close to expressing just how sorry I am for what not only you, but every other Member and Gym Leader must have gone through, especially in this region. But, I'm back now, and everything's gonna be alright. Okay?" He nodded, not saying a thing as he pulled away from her. He cleared his throat. "Uhm--ahem-- Nina's over in the dormitory. I won't accompany you, because I know that you all will want to have some time to yourselves, to catch up, and... well, probably calm the poor girl down. She's been a wreck ever since she was admitted here, and I'm sure that once you explain everything to her, it'll make a world of difference." He indicated toward the dormitory, and Sabrina smiled, thanking him. She and Whitney headed down the hallway, passing by a few doors, stopping at one on their left. "Well, this is it... Are you ready?" Whitney asked, anticipation building up inside of her. "Yeah, Whit. I am." She raised her hand toward the door, about ready to knock on it.
And then she changed her mind.
With all of her physical force, Sabrina raised her leg and kicked the door in, walking in the room and laughing. "JUST KIDDING!" she hollered, giggling madly, as a mentally unstable Nina screamed and cursed, running into a corner of the room, nearly suffering a heart attack in the process.
Whitney stood at the door, her eyes the size of saucers, horrified at what Sabrina had just done. Something tells me we could have approached this in a much better fashion, she thought.

Letting go of Tierra's arm, Keegan turned slowly to face Jaeshan, who was met with a harsh glare. "Yes, I know that's Giovanni," he snapped angrily, wiping his face with the sleeve of his jacket. "But I don't care. Kasiya's over there, and I'm not going to let her face him alone." He took a deep, calming breath, recalling Tierra back into her Great Ball. "I know who he is," he repeated, continuing to walk, his speed picking up. He didn't care if Jaeshan was following him or not. "She needs me, and I'm not going to let her down. I won't." The redhead repeated these words to himself, his pace changing from a brisk walk to a slight jog, and from there it turned into a fairly steady run.
The group came into clear view moments later, and Keegan could hear Giovanni speaking to them, his tone rife with malice and even what Keegan sensed to be excitement. Now he'd never seen the man in person until now, and as he looked up at him, glaring orange suit and all, he found the Rocket Boss' presence to be nearly overwhelming. There was a strange, practically visible cloud of fear and defeat hanging overhead and Keegan was nervous just joining them. One might think he arrived at just the wrong time as he witnessed Mike experience a breakdown of sorts, as suddenly he was grabbing Kasiya by her shirt and practically shaking her. "Mike, whoa!" he shouted, taking a step forward, but by that time his childhood friend had already snapped completely and was rushing at Giovanni. "No, Kasiya, stop," he said firmly, grabbing hold of the blonde's arm and pulling her back, as almost instantly she'd made a move to go after Mike. He held onto her tightly, feeling her struggle against him as Giovanni grabbed Mike. "Oh god," he murmured, shielding Kasiya's eyes from the sight, not wanting to watch himself. He'd hoped it would be over when Mike hit the ground, but evidently it was not. It seemed Giovanni was only getting started.
Keegan felt his blood run cold when Giovanni's eyes met his, and it was as though it congealed in his veins, forcing his heart to stop beating entirely, but as Giovanni went on his pulse picked up, and there was a rushing, pounding sound in his ears. No, it can't be, he thought, staring at the crumpled form of his old friend on the ground, his expression impossible to read. He didn't want to believe what Giovanni was saying. He wanted it to be a lie; some elaborate scheme to serve some purpose, but deep in his gut he knew it wasn't. It was the cold, bleak truth. How could he be so foolish, so gullible? Keegan thought. I knew it. I told him. I knew it. He was shaking. His mouth was dry. He didn't know what to say, what to think. Very suddenly he realized that he'd been holding very tightly onto Kasiya and he muttered an incoherent apology as he loosened his grip some, though he didn't let her go completely. It was like she was the only thing keeping him grounded right now.

Unfortunately for them Brooks attack missed and the fine yellow powder only landed on the grass and ground. "Oh it missed!" Robin pouted somewhat but didn't feel to upset by it. She was a little concerned when the Zigzagoon smashed into Brook again with a Headbutt this time. The attack sent the poor Hoppip tumbling over itself a few times. Righting himself Brook glared at the Zigzagoon, his back was smarting and he did not like it! Summoning up his healing energy inside of him and taking in as much sunlight as he could Brook fixed up some of his wounds with a Synthesis. Feeling much better now the Hoppip grinned and twitched his antenna leaves at the Zigzagoon.
The poor normal type pokemon did not like being mocked by the small grass type pokemon. It barked slightly as it charged through the grass zig zagging back and forth. Leaping forward the Zigzagoon tried to tackle Brook down again but the nimble and speedy Hoppip just twirled to the side. Landing on its paws the raccoon like pokemon skidded back slightly and just growled in frustration at its opponent. Ok so maybe it was more angry then it should be but this particular Zigzagoon was not known for keeping its temper in check.
"All right Brook lets go for a.... Hmmm how about we try out your Bullet Seed attack!" Robin ordered as she looked down at her pokedex she had just pulled out. It seemed like Brook had gotten a lot stronger since they last battled together. In truth she felt a little guilty for focusing on Luffy just because he was her first pokemon. Brook was proving to be more then reliable and Robin was sure she would use him much more now.
Brook just nodded and he felt seeds gather from inside of him and end up in his mouth. He didn't really question why he could do this he just could for some unknown reason. Bracing himself and taking aim the Hoppip fired the seeds in rapid succession at the Zigzagoon. The normal type did not have a chance to dodge as it was hit with the barrage of seeds.
On Robin's shoulder Luffy watched the attack with wide eyes. He made an impressed sound as he saw the seeds get shot out. Seeds were tasty and he really wished he was on the other side of that attack so that he could eat them! Now he was hungry again. He hoped Brook would finish up soon so Robin could take them all out to dinner!

The yelling and the fighting that was coming from the area where the Helicopter had landed was getting more and more of Sere's attention. When the red headed boy covered in blood started to run in that area, Serenity followed. Her curiosity had gotten the better of her. The tall man in the orange suit was yelling about things she didn't understand, and the others that were fighting him, seemed to have stopped some. Once she had gotten into hearing range she saw Mike rush towards the man screaming that he was going to kill this Giovanni. A name that rung all to familiar with her. Alex said he was the most ruthless of gym leaders, and he didn't take to losing to her too kindly. He had actually sent someone after her to try and get her pokemon after the battle was over, but she made short work of those grunts. Much the way the way she saw others doing it today.
As Sere approached the battle area she saw that Giovanni took Mike's attack in stride, and even smiled as he threw the boy to the ground. Serenity's blood ran cold as the Team Rocket leader spoke his next words. The mention of Team Magma made her feel as though she was going to fall over, but when she heard that it was Mike...Mike who had woke up Groudon and caused all that distruction in her city, distruction that had taken so long to clean up and that no one dared forget, her blood started to boil once more.
She remembered back to those days, when everything completely went to hell. After the first sign of something going wrong her parents had put her in charge of getting some of the younger pokemon to safety, while Alex made sure that Steve was okay over at the pokecentre. Then the two of them headed out to see what they could help with. She had been in the safe house with the earth started to shake. The pokemon were so scared, but she had done her best to keep them calm. Then everything went silent, and stayed silent for what had seemed like an eternity at the time, though looking back it was probably only seconds. Out of no where the silence broke and she could hear the screams of everyone.
Sere put her hand to her head, feeling as though she was going to faint. It was too much to remember. Too much right now. This wasn't the time to focus on how only Alex and Steve returned home, insted she focused all of her attention on the boy to see how he was going to respond to Giovanni's acusations. She had a feeling though that Mike's previous actions already gave her the answer she didn't want to hear.

Heh, it appeared as though Riza appreciated Crenu's...call it a sense of humor. There was something about Riza that wasn't like the other peopel he'd met since leaving home. For starters, she didn't have a smile bursting with sunshine and rainbows plastered on her face at all times. She did smile, but it was a much calmer and, in his opinion, more realistic smile that didn't bother him at all. She also seemed more down to Earth that some of the other characters he'd met, he almost got the feeling that their minds were in similar places when it came to the world. That much was evident in her Pokecenter suggestion, which apparently was actually her pokemon's idea. "Easy, efficient, lazy, and no paper work. I like it." Crenu said with a sincere nod as he looked back at the Rocket Leader, watching as he appeared to be beating the crap out of a familiar looking guy. Crenu recognized him as Mike from outside the pokecenter earlier that day, and the group of trainers around him appeared to be the very same mass of people that had also gathered at the center before heading over to this fine mess of a seminar. Listening carefully, he took in all of what the man in the orange suit had said. ...sounds like these guys were involved in some heavy business...did he say that Mike guy nearly brought the destruction of this entire region? He cocked an eyebrow in curiosity, but decided to drop it almost instantly. True or not, whatever happened happened and it didn't involve him. Crenu had his own goals in mind, he wasn't looking to get wrapped up in some real life soap opera. "...Come on, lets get these pokemon to the center. Looks like the attacks over." He said with an unconcerned tone, making for the red roofed building.

Barely making it to the tree Eraku grabbed a Safari ball out of his bag looked to see where the scyther was at. To his astonishment it was gone...or well it appeared to be gone until he heard rustling coming from above him and noticed that there was the scyther standing on the branch of the tree glaring at him. "gaaaah" he cried practically jumping back into the pond out of shock. "Well here goes nothing" He threw the Safari ball at the scyther, but apparently he was aiming at something else as the Safari ball went flying over the tree and went out of sight. The scyther tilted its head wondering what had just happened when Eraku ran after where the ball had gone. Clearing the tree the ball had flown into another tree and had wedged itself in the upper branches. Eraku climbed desperately up the tree but was still a few feet short of reaching the ball. That is when he heard more rustling and noticed that once again the scyther was positioned just above him. It appeared to be toying with him. Fortunately the scyther's movement dislodged the ball from the branch and it fell. Eraku jumped down out of the tree and grabbed it. He rolled over and threw it once again up at the scyther. Just as he had released the ball the scyther leaped down raising its claws for an attack. But luck was on Eraku's side as the ball made contact with the scyther and the pokemon was sent into the ball which landed with a thud at Eraku's feet.

The poke ball shook and rolled violently for a few seconds and Eraku thought the ball was surely going to break and the running would soon begin again. But to his surprise the shaking became less and less powerful and finally it stopped all together and then the ball made a locking sound. "I did it?" He said not quite sure of what happened. "I mean yeah I did it! Alright I just caught me a Scyther!" He picked up the poke ball and noticed how warm it felt to the touch. "Man I can't wait to tell Hurricane about this." He looked down at his watch noticed that it was beginning to get late. "I guess I probably should get going."
He began to make his way out of the woods he had set up in and walked back through the great fields and took in the sights once again. He saw dozens of Pokémon moving about in the fields. None seemed to want to come too close to him and he was just fine with admiring from afar. He made a mental note that he should come back here someday. After a half hour the sun was just beginning to sink beneath the horizon he had finally made it back to the gate to the park. He walked through and went up to the counter to claim the things he had left behind with the lady at the desk. She stared at him strangely and finally said.
"You run into some trouble in there. You look like a wreck." Eraku turned around and caught a refection of himself in a window and noticed he was covered in small cuts and bruises and all sorts of mud and twigs were covering him. He laughed and looked at the receptionist.
"No I'm just fine. Just had a little run in with a scyther. But I managed to come out on top somehow." He said with a grin.
"Ok son. You should go over to the pokemon center and clean up and rest. Hope you come back again soon." She said still looking at him weirdly.
Eraku left the Safari Zone and made his way back to the Pokémon Center by the time he had reached it the street lamps were just beginning to flicker on in town. He walked in and the nurse behind the counter looked over and said “You were the boy with the pidgey right? He is doing just fine you can come get him when you're ready." She said with a smile.
Eraku walked over to the counter and behind it was a cheerful Hurricane hopping around and chirping at the sight of his trainer. He fluttered up and landed on Eraku's shoulder and rubbed his face against his friends. "Good to see you too buddy." Eraku said rubbing the back of Hurricane's head. "Oh by the way Nurse did a package happen to arrive while I was gone it should be from Cinnabar?"
The nurse bent beneath the counter and came back up with a small package that was no bigger than a small book. "This came a little while after you left. It says it’s from Blaine the gym leader in Cinnabar." The nurse said reading the label on the package. She handed it to Eraku and he went over to the hostel inside the Pokémon center where trainers could spend the night. After cleaning up he sat down on a bed and picked up the package and unwrapped it. Inside was a small red device that looked sort of like a mix between and cell phone and a PDA. On the front of the device was a small note saying: Eraku, This is a pokedex. It'll help you out figuring out what Pokémon are and what they can do. I know this will help you out. Though when I was your age I had no such thing we carried books. Enjoy -Blaine
"hmm a pokedex eh wonder how it works?" He said opening it up and turning it on. The screen came to life and immediately noticing the pidgey in close proximity began to read off a description of Hurricane. "This is cool. I'll have to thank him next time I talk to him. Ohh Hurricane I forgot to show you I caught us a new buddy. I was thinking of names and for some reason Vlad just seems to stick, but here he is." He said dropping the Safari ball on the ground and out came the Scyther who earlier had been chasing Eraku all over.

Riza could only hear some of what was being said from the commotion nearby, but though she didn't get all of it she knew it wasn't good. The boy with the flame-decorated clothes was being bashed around pretty good by orange-suit guy. "Mike was responsible for all of that?" she murmured to herself, tilting her head a little. Being Johto born the chaos had been far away from where she lived but even in her little secluded life up in Blackthorne she'd heard about it. 'Well that's got to be tough to carry around after all this time,' she thought, feeling a little bad for the boy. But at the same she couldn't help but wonder what would drive someone to do a thing like that.
When Crenu started for the pokecenter Riza did the same, glancing towards the group a few times as she did so. A part of her was glad to be going away from them and she couldn't wait to get back home to Johto. Well, she wouldn't have minded staying in Hoenn a while longer, but she really didn't want to stay around the group of people she'd met earlier. 'I'm not the nicest person on the planet but something tells me hanging with those guys would be asking for trouble.' Between Sneasel and Ralts they carried the bag of pokeballs, both keeping a close eye on their trainer as she walked along behind the blonde guy. * * * * * Genki's pained screech from the hit caused Katie to flinch, and she silently fumed over the fact that the last ember had missed its mark. "Burn it, Genki! Ember again!" she shouted, wanting this match to be over already. The Chimchar seemed to agree and he spun around quickly, his little flame flaring up brightly as he sent another volley of flames up over the Kricketune's body, and it screeched horribly and flailed around, partially on fire. Katie couldn't help but giggle at the sight of it, even after it fell to the ground, unable to get up again. "And that, my friend, is called KARMA!" she shouted at the brother as he tended to his fainted cricket. "Now if you'll get out of my way, I've got to get to Oreburgh."
Both boys made way as Katie passed them, her head held high. Genki grinned a bit apologetically at the two before he chased after her, the two of them entering Oreburgh Gate.

Things were happening so fast that Kasiya didn't know what to make of it all. One moment, she was recalling Ariel and Ada (who'd hopped back to her side after aiding Cable and Napalm) and then the next it was like Mike was choking her. At some point she saw that Mai was there as well but for once her half-sister's presence didn't unnerve her. She tried to cry out but he'd let go soon after, and was suddenly he was rushing at Giovanni with murderous intent. "No, Mike! Please!" she screamed, fully intent on running after him, but she felt strong arms grab her from behind and pull her back. "No! Let me go!" she shrieked, flailing wildly to try and free herself, but then she heard Keegan's voice and she realized it was him holding her back. "No..." she sobbed, turning her face into the redhead's chest. "Don't hurt him... please..." her voice was muffled against Keegan and she flinched with each blow that was landed, even though she couldn't see it.
Keegan loosened his grip on her enough to turn towards Giovanni, her eyes burning with hate. "No! You're lying!" she shouted at the Rocket Boss, her cheeks streaming with tears. "You're lying... Mike would never... Mike... he's my friend... you're lying..." With each word Giovanni uttered she once again felt Keegan's grip tightening on her, quickly to the point where he was hurting her. She struggled against him again, whimpering incoherently as she tried desperately not to let Giovanni's words sink in. It couldn't be true. It just couldn't. Mike was one of the most kind-hearted, selfless people she knew. There was no way he could have been capable of something so... heinous. A surge of anger welled up in her veins and when she felt Keegan relinquish his hold on her she smashed her elbow backwards into his ribs and darted forward, throwing herself on the ground next to Mike as though her very presence would protect him from Giovanni's words.
Mai merely watched Mike's breakdown with a sadistic smile, her arms folded neatly across her chest. Her eyes moved swiftly from child to child, unable to express just how good it felt to watch each kid break. We're just getting started, she thought, laughing coldly even as Kasiya rushed to her friend's side. Her gaze then turned towards the redhead nearby and she shook her head. Just as I expected. I knew she'd stick up for Kyoka, I just knew it.
=-=-=-=-= Jaeshan watched Keegan walk away and he sighed, sticking his hands in his pockets. Maybe he'd been wrong about the pairing of Keegan and Kasiya. That good side of him, right there, he thought, starting to walk as well, Butterfree flying along with him. I guess he really does love her, and she him. How about that. He wore a funny little smile as he walked, not really heading in any particular direction. He'd wanted to go towards the group and help, but the battles seemed to have stopped and other than having some strong Pokemon of his own, he didn't know how he could. He walked for some time, somehow making his way to the beach after a while. There was a cool breeze and the stars were reflecting in the ocean, and just like that Jaeshan remembered that his hotel was somewhere nearby. He could see it from the beach and he sighed, knowing it was still somewhat early, but not at all caring. All he wanted to do was get back to his room and lie down, and pretend like that whole seminar never happened.
Though once he was back in his hotel room, he felt wide awake, and suddenly very much like going for a swim. It seemed kind of redundant but the hotel (being as fancy as it was and stuff) did have an indoor (and heated) swimming pool, and Jaeshan donned his swim trunks for the second time that day, grabbed a towel and headed downstairs.

"A battle?" Kevin had seen plenty of gym battles, and he battled and caught his Sableye but aside from the practice matches back at the academy, he'd never fought a real battle against another trainer. Neither Monsoon or Twinkles had been in a battle other than the one with each other. Well, gotta get your feet wet sometime. "OK, sure. A battle outta be good for both of us." Kevin looked to Monsoon, who confidently nodded to his trainer.
Monsoon stepped up to the plate, ready to battle the Duskull. This would be his first battle against another trainer's Pokemon and he didn't want to disappoint. He didn't know any fancy moves, but he could still throw down.

Sapphire growled to his younger brother. "Go back? Feh, you really are stupid runt. Real stupid," he said glaring at the younger, and recently evolved, Houndoom. He trotted over to Daemyn, butting his head a little. "Go get healed. I can't have your death on my conscience." Sapphire gave a small grunt as if to say, "we can talk later" before running over to where his true loyality ran. Sure, getting a nice healing from Nurse Joy at the Pokemon Center in those plush bed would be nice, but Mitsu needed him right now, whether for fighting or for moral support he didn't care. He would be there for her.
Karri glared at the Rocket head and his admins as well. What a bunch of rotten people they were, to be so destructive to her friends. She waited paitently as Mike broke down before her eyes. There was no doubt that it pained her to see him like that. But rash actions would not help. Instead she stood there, well floated, and waited for the events to unfold. If things should become to dangerous, especially for Mitsu, she was ready to place her life on the line.
Meanwhile, as if in a daze, both Ivy and Sapphire had been recalled by thier purple headed trainer. The two deserved a good rest, though Mitsu failed to acknowledge it out loud. She was too capitivated by the words coming from Giovanni's mouth. The events swirled around Mitsu's head like a Kingdra's yawning creating whirlpools. She was stunned silent as collective screams and shouts of "no!," "don't!," and "Mike!" were being called out. Giovanni's lies. . .no they weren't lies. . .but still. . .How could Mike have done such a thing? For what reason what purpose? She had been so close, on Mossdeep then. She almost died. Even though miles seperated Liliycove and Mossdeep, the island was subjected to horrible winds and storms. The whole ordeal created mass chaos on the island. Fear overcame all but the toughest of the trainers there. And. . .and. . .it was all his fault.
Mitsu stood there, a small rage building up in her. But no! Mike was her friend! She, she, she had to do something! She couldn't just stand there and be weak and useless as always. "Sh-shut up Giovanni!" she screamed. The man knew nothing of her. As far as she was concerned e only knew her as the weak one. But that wasn't true, not anymore! She ran over to the mop-headed boy who had snapped, snapped horribly. Mitsu stood in front of Kasiya and Mike, arms spread protectively. "Get the hell away from them!" she spat, glaring at the Rocket head.

"Ow! Ow! Ow! OW!" Mike screamed as Giovanni introduced his face to a guard-rail four times over. "That's not true!" he wailed. "Maxie tricked me! I am a hero, I AM!" No use, he couldn't fight back against the man's superior strength. With little effort the boy was thrown to the ground, and painfully slid on his back, the sleeves on his jacket ripping off in the process. Mike clasped his ears shut, screaming incoherently as the man revealed his deepest and darkest secret to those he cherished most. "No! They can't know! THEY CAN'T KNOW!!" he clawed the sides of his face, shrieking in pain, trying to do something, ANYTHING to stop him from hearing any of Giovanni's words. If he didn't hear it, maybe they didn't either!
"Tell us, Mike! TELL US WHAT YOU WANTED!" Giovanni's stare burned straight through his soul, begging him to dig himself deeper into this mess. Before he could respond, both Kasiya and Mitsu had thrown themselves in front of him, standing between him and the Rocket leader.
"I..ha...I-I don't..." Mike was in hysterics; he didn't know what to do! "I..only meant to pro-protect everyone." Blood streaked down his face, both from Giovanni's beating and his own. "I just want-wanted to prote-...Flaa..." his head turned slowly to the right, locking eyes with the one person who would understand most of all. "Ff-f-flannery." Mike cried weakly, crawling slowly towards her. Kasiya and Mitsu believed him, so she must too! Everything would be alright, it would! "I..I did it all for you my love!" The boy smiled, doing little to mask his now frightening appearance. "I h-have been always looking after you, ever since the day we met." A gleeful chuckle escaped from him as he remembered days past. "I-I was the one who left you all those birthday presents on your windowsill, every single year! And when you were having those self-confidence issues, it broke my heart. That's why, that's why I started that fire you and Keegan put out, so that you would learn just how strong, how perfect you are!" Inch by inch he came closer, his eyes never straying even a hair from hers. "Ha, haha! Remember when you tried to catch Mag, and you just couldn't get it right? Hee, hee hee! I was the one that started that rock slide, the one that hurt him so bad that you had to rush him to the Pokemon Center, the night that you two bonded and you became a Pokemon trainer!" Mike raised his hand weakly, looking at Flannery with pleading eyes.
"I-I have always been looking after you," he said, his body trembling. "You-you have to believe me Flannery. I-I only did what I thought would keep you safe! If I lost you, I wouldn't know what I'd do!" He stretched his hand closer, tears forming in his eyes. "You've got to believe me...please..."

Well, well, M.A. thought, light-headed and not entirely attached to the gravity of reality. Mike and Kilik, they seemed like such nice guys. She remembered distantly Mt. Chimney erupting that one day so long ago; the whole of Fallarbor had to evacuate as breathing became near impossible with the downpour of ash. She heard little snippets about Groudon and how the lava stopped just short of eating sleepy little Fallarbor Town, but her father and mother had done their very best to keep the grittier details from their impressionable daughter. She need not think too deeply of the uncontainable mass destruction, the piles of bodies that stretched on and on.
They weren't as protective of independent Saebum, however, and he knew the extent of the horrors of that time. He looked with disgust and animosity toward the man who supposedly triggered the mass murder, that disaster. How could he do such a thing?
That was it. He was getting his sister and her goddamn stubborn dog out of this spat between two parties of villains. The chaos had subsided, and everyone who had regained their stolen Pokemon had regained it by now, or tough luck; all the Grunts had retreated. In the distance, he could vaguely make out the sound of sirens and barks; about time law enforcement reared its head around these parts. All he had seen during the chaos was ambulances and what not.
"Let's go get both of you patched up," he said, more gruffly now. Like his parents, he wanted to shield the girl from the ugly sight of the bloody brown-haired guy. Straight out of a bad horror movie, that one was. M.A., however, witnessed it with wide eyes; how awful the scene was. The pain and misery was almost tangible. Yeah, okay, she could stop watching this movie now; just turn off the TV, right. "Okay," she said, climbing into her brother's arms and giggling lightly like a little girl. Daemyn growled again, teeth baring, but Saebum quickly returned the dog before it went rabid. "You two are impossible," he sighed. To which M.A. only smiled and stated her intention to go to sleep, which she promptly did, a content little smirk on her face, unperturbed by her head throbbing. Would it be okay for her to go out on an adventure on her own like this? She was so, so carefree and naive. Especially when she didn't have enough oxygen goin' to her noggin.
The PokeCenter was once again understaffed for the influx of trainers seeking help, but Saebum forced his way through. "A little transfusion and some stitches for the Houndoom," he demanded of the Nurse, who nodded with the nonchalant gaze of someone who had witnessed too many injuries in her career. Saebum, having done this all before (when his sister had somehow ripped a vein by tripping), was too relatively calm, albeit slightly pissed off at the whole turn of events. He'd have to give up some of the good ol' O stuff too, and did he hate needles.

Jun smirked his crooked little smile when Alice conveniently convinced Aidan to come along. Having the over-excited, cute girl come along certainly had its perks! But my, she seemed like such a naive, unsuspecting child. What girl would travel with two older guys upon first meeting them? She didn't even know if they were crazy rapists or something. But whatev.
They rode slowly down a few intersections to Hearthome's huge hotel. Due to the late hours, few were out and about, and the receptionist looked as if she were half-asleep. "It's past check-in time," she said, yawning.
"You must be new," Jun said breezily, smiling paternally. He leaned over the counter, turning the computer screen around and proceeding to type in his information.
"W-wait, it's not gonna work or anything. What are you doing!" the lady protested, a bit bewildered by the oddity of it all. Presently, however, the screen emitted a consenting little beep; Jun's mere pen name, Roberto Divali, would assure a pass every time within this particular hotel. To the bedazzled receptionist, he merely grinned amiably, patting her on the shoulder. "My dear, I'm a regular here!" He did come here quite often for his part-time journalism with PokeStyle magazine. The hotel staff mused over why Jun had free access to the chain, but none of the rumors ever hit the truth of the matter. If it did, Jun figured, he'd lose his bargaining chips.
"Tsk, there's only one room left, and not even a grand suite," Jun sighed, clicking the last available option. Two queen beds. Oh, wait, this could work to his advantage.
Once the trio had entered the room, Jun sighed, slumping into one of the chairs at the mini-bar they had. "It looks like there's only two beds," he pouted with mock-concern. "Well, obviously, I /couldn't/ let you sleep with Alice, Aidan; that's much too /scandalous/! I guess we'll just have to buddy up," he said. Oh how cozy it'd be!
