"See ya Ambrose, take care." Amaya nodded to him as he got up and left.

"Yeah, Ambrose is a good guy." She smiled, glad that she was at least helping him a little on adjusting to the island. Though his next comment caught her.

"Y'know..." The iguana looked over at him. "Your like the fourth person who's said that to me. Am I really?"

Alec of course found this highly amusing, especially that she had no idea of her tendencies to fall silent in a conversation. "Ye, y'kinda stop talkin afteh awhile." He laughed as he crossed his legs, uncaringly tossing his hoodie into the sand beside him. "Ye don' say much." He knew she was shy but her introverted nature was statring to be very obvious.

Amaya blinked and stared at him for awhile, it finally sinking in. When she came here, she been talkative, happy, interjected into conversations, but now... she was really quiet compared to those days.

"Well... I used to talk a lot more. But... I guess I've gotten a lot quieter after my last change." She frowned. "Guess it's because of multiple reasons. Some not voluntary." Green iguana's were very silent creatures... would she... no. No, that wouldn't happen.

The girl shook her head free of the thought.

Alec watched her expression changed as she thought to herself, butting out his cig in the sandpile beside him without taking his eyes off his friend. "Ye just need t'ave fun." He resolved this as a sure-fire solution, believing that that was her real problem. "Ye just gotta relaaaz n' enjoy th' sun. Che' up a lil." He nodded to himself and patted her shoulder, thinking himself quite brilliant.

Alec wasn't entirly wrong. Half of her shyness was because of how she looked, and how little she was truely happy anymore. Though compared to awhile ago, this attitude was heaven. Amaya still rarely smiled.

A tiny smile came to her scaley face. "I guess so... just kinda hard after awhile, y'know? Not much to do around here."

The lizard would never admit it to anyone else, and mostly not even to herself that the reason she was so sad was that she was lonely. She might have had a makeshift family and friends... but she was still a teenage girl.

"Ugh, don' a' know i'!!" Alec groaned, suddenly falling back to lie on the sandy beach. "Give us somethin' t' DO!!!" The teen yelled out in the otherwise-empty beachside half-laughing the entire time. Despite what was said about Antony earlier, his time spent with her had provided enough comfort for the boy to find happiness in the day, at least. So much so that he was considered deviously plotting somesort of activities for Amaya and him to partake in to keep the "rowdy teens" occupied. With a little food and a little extra energy, the teen was beginning to act as good as new.

Amaya laughed and flopped onto her back as well, her bottom wiggling a little as her tail readjusted to lay on the sand between her legs, which were still propped up to keep weight off her newly aquaired limb.

"Y'know, my friend Hargun and I would make faces at the cameras sometimes, if we could find them." It wasn't much, but it was something to entertain yourself with for a couple of minutes.

Alec looked as if a lightbulb had just gone on in his feeble little mind, a wide and very mischevious grin spreading on his face as a telltale sign that his thoughts were going in a bad direction. "Man, we shou' do tha'" He laughed, trying to imagine Amaya in her current state having that much fun. "We shou' start a fooood figh' in th'caf!!! Ha-haHA!" This talk was clearly up his alley and he couldn't even begin to think of what pranks he could pull on the staff.

The teen giggled at the thought. "Yeeeeah, that'd be fun." Though the consequences for doing such a thing weren't arn't her mind at the moment. Would the staff punish them for such a thing?

Probably, knowing how tight-assed they were.

"Dunno who else would join us though, besides Hargun. Do you?"

Alec shrugged, not bothering to worry about such minor details. "Ye, mehbeh Annie an' 'er friend." He thought for a moment before adding to the thought. "'An tha' prude 'ou lives above me." He laughed in a sinister manner, smirking to Amaya to communicate the joke. "Bu' f'now a' betteh get inside. 'All be red n' bubbleh if a' don'."

Amaya smirked, though knew she was probably a prude too. "Alright, I'll see ya later Alec." She sat up and shifted her tail once more before patting him on the shoulder.

New Rp

She didn't know which sunset this was- they were all so alike, and the days bled into one another here. Emelyn only knew that the previous nights, Zach hadn't come to the beach... and so, she was beginning to think that he hadn't forgiven her. Either that, or he wanted to put what had happened behind him- and didn't want to answer the questions that Emelyn... truly needed to know, if he was to remain a trusted friend. Was he truly violent? What was he turning into? ...And did he believe he might ever hurt her?

Emelyn sighed and tugged her goggles from her forehead, dropping them to the sand at her feet. She stretched out to her fullest, looking at the point where the sky was still somewhat blue.

Truthfully, Zach had become wary of walking along the beach after the fiasco with Rex. He wouldn't - couldn't - speak to the lion-man again. Not after what had happened. He felt like a fool, which he'd come to know as a reaction of guilt, but there was still a feeling of pride in him that refused to let him consider an apology. He looked up a moment to the sky, and the stars, as they came out one by one like spilled glitter on a navy blue canvas. His feet were bare, again, and the sand was quick to try to loosen footing as he followed the dunes down to meet the rhythmic ocean tide.

He hadn't come wandering randomly, though. Emelyn had asked him to come to the beach this week, and he'd postponed over and over with idiotic reasons to avoid it. He didn't know what she'd say to him, and that was what bothered him. Her quick flight as she'd met him in the forest made him uneasy, like he was still dangerous. The almost-attacks he'd made were things he wasn't eager to talk about, especially with someone who seemed so fragile.

Onward he walked, glancing between the deep blue of the sea and the sky as they mirrored one another flawlessly. He heard the soft thump of an object falling to the sand, and drew his eyes away from the horizon to see Emelyn waiting nearby, her goggles discarded.

His tail twitched behind him, unwilling to keep still. After a silent moment of watching her as though expecting an interruption, he took the initiative, his voice just loud enough to be heard over the crash of a wave.

"Hello again, Emelyn."

"Zach," she said, before she ever sat up to see him, and confirm it was he. She knew who it was, and, for the most part, she was glad he'd come. Only a single seed of doubt took root inside her- reluctantly thinking that what might come would be less of an apology than an interrogation. And no matter how much she needed answers, she didn't want that.

"I'm glad you came." She leaned forward onto her upright thighs, 'til the fur of her stomach met that which covered her legs. "I'd thought you... wouldn't."

"It's... it's nice to see you," he stated awkwardly, his one arm hanging against his side. He felt a little worse for putting off the beach meeting for as long as he did. His yellow eyes widened at her remark. "Oh... I'm really sorry I didn't come sooner."

He took a couple of steps toward her, unable to read her body language. She looked so lonely here, a furry little figure on a wide beach, but there was little he felt he could say or do for her. He slowly sat down beside her, brushing some sand off of the bottoms of his pants as he asked her a rhetorical question. "Well, um, you wanted to talk?"
