I'm serious.

I hate doctors x_x

they don't give two shits what you think/have to say/would preffer, at ALL. It's fricken stupid and I hate being disrespected and forced to do crap that makes me way uncomfortable and upset every time I end up with a bad injury and have to stay at the hospital for a bit (oh gawd, it's happened lots)
PostPosted: Sat Feb 03, 2007 1:22 am

Augh really hurt today. But on the plus side I no longer look like a chipmunk! whee

I'm going to the Big Day Out tomorrow though. (Music show with heaps of bands, eg The Killers, Muse, Tool, MCR to name a few) and the seeing MCR (again heh sweatdrop ) the day after. I'll just have to avoid wayward fists xp I don't want to get bashed lol blaugh I can't open my mouth heaps either, whch sucks 'cause that means I can't sing/scream out lyrics, [Which I always have to do]

crying crying crying crying
NOW I DONT WANT TO EVER GET IT.

I saw Tool in concert... their stage set up is AMAZING.
The stage was actually lights itself. Like the floor was a screen where they played light effects.
Wicked awesome, I'll find a pic.

Swelling's almost all gone and I don't hurt anymore smile

Apparently I'd rather thid pain than if they errupted. Mum's wisdome teeth came up in the middle of the night and she was said to be rolling around on the floor in agony. No thanks, I'll take this I think smile I hardly know any Muse songs but I'll tell you how the stage was (if we watch them/they don't clash with anyone)

Bye for a couple of days people!

Y'all wanna hear about my BDO/MCR experiences? Too bad, I'm telling you anyway xp PS: Sorry about all the typos in that other post of mine! sweatdrop gonk (And probably this one too)

The Big Day Out was so fun. We got there around midday, wandered around for a little bit, then headed over to the tent that MCR were going to be playing at from around 3:30pm. We came about three quarters of the way through The Spazzys' set, and siddled up to about the second row when they'd finished. I should probably tell you a bit about the layout of the stages. It was held in the Showgrounds which is a really really huge venue - there were about 8 stage type things/areas for bands spread all around, though most stuff worth seeing were in the main oval on two massive stages which were right next to each other (they alernated which ones were being used for each set.

So, we were in the second row of one pit, (rapidly filling up behind us) but we stood there for an hour with nothing on our own stage, and hearing The Butterfly Effect on the one next to us. (Mosh in full swing)

Then we stood through Evermore for another hour on our own stage. I'm not a huge fan but they were okay. Then after them Scribe was on the other stage for an hour. So for the three hours waiting for MCR (Okay, there were some Evermore fans, but they were a row or two behind - MCR fans plan ahead lol.) We were putting up wth everyone trying to get closer to the stage and push in front of us - because hey, we were practically front and centre. Duri this time we ended up in around the third row (ish). I got very squished, let's say. Goddamn pushy people who get to the front by just ploughing through everyone else, and don't care who gets hurt in the process..... stare

Then MCR came on, and Oh Em Eff Gee (rard). The moshpit was INSANE. People were fainting/getting lifted out of the pit left, right and centre, as well as completely pushing people (read: me) behind them. I got so many kicks to the head because everyone was being surfed to saftey. One of my friends fell over at one point and was underneath everyone else, but after some very loud and angry yelling from me, we got her upright again. Gerard said our city was the best/most enthusuastic crowd they'd had yet - though he probably says that every time to suck up lol. Anyway, yes, lots of pain for Sal from everyone bashing her (in the not fully healed JAW OMG!) and a couple of elbows to the boob and throat in the mosh pit. Of course, apart from having to make sure I stayed alive, the band PWNED BIG TIME (hence why the crowd was so crazy).

After that, We saw (though myself and another friend didn't go to mosh)The Killers, Jet, and some other less important people I forget the name of. Wait, I remember - it was the John Butler Trio, but again insignificant blaugh Heh. Then Muse. Their set up was pretty cool. [EDIT: Though they thought they were in Adelaide, lol rolleyes ] We decided to skip the intended Violent Femmes because we were buggered and had an early start the next morning [more about that later, heh] A few of the other bands that were there that we didn't get a chance to see were Eskimo Joe, The Vines or Tool, plus some others I can't think of.

THEN THE NEXT DAY (today) we went and saw MCR again. hahahaha. More in another post, perhaps even tomorrow, since I didn't sleep last night. At all. But I will boast about this: I GOT RAY'S SETLIST YESSS!!!!

The continued My Chem adventures of Sal!

Okay, I didn't sleep at all after BDO. We'd all crashed at one friend's house, and there were three of us in her sofa bed. I just lay there the whole night awake. gonk stare Blah. Anyway at 5:30am the alarm went off. (Two of my friends were planning on having a shower since they hadn't the night before.) I got up, and the others were like, 'pfft no sleep for half hour more,' 'It's alright; I just won't have a shower' etc. rolleyes I went and had coffee and breakfast, then went in and badgered them again at 6:00.

I just realised that this is all pointless info....

I'll just say that we were on a bus at 7:00 and at the venue at 7:30. It was really cold, seeing as it's summer. It heated up a lot later that day to over thirty celcius. sweatdrop There were some people already there (Grrr. If the others had just gotten up when I had!!!!) But not enough for major concern. Que us waiting around for a looooooooong time. I have drawings/writing/quotes all over my pants and myself. (What else do you expect when you have five seventeen year olds waiting for eight and a half hours with nothing but a marker to amuse ourselves?????)

We got random people to draw/write on my pants too. mrgreen When we finally got in, after much more waiting and a minor drama where a friend lost/left her ticket at home or something. Someone GAVE her their spare for FREE because their own friend couldn't come. eek We are forever in their debt. At about 3:15 (it was schedualed to open at four) stupid people got it into their heads that security looked like they were going to open the doors. There was massive pushing where myself and another were separated from the rest of our friends, who were almost at the very front, and we ended up about three metres down the line. There was an old woman who was wearing a corset with two inch stabby spikey things on it, pressed up behind me. Oooowwww gonk I saw her in the moshpit later. stressed I find that really dangerous and above all rude. She could seriously injure people. stare stare stare

Anyway... We finally got inside. We were all in the front row mrgreen at the barrier a bit to the right of centre and in front of guitarist Ray whee . And directly in front of the speakers - the support band deafened me slightly. Oh well, long-term hearing is overated. rolleyes xp Then MCR! They slayed me. Soooo good. I won't go through every song, because that would take forever. I'll post the list though at the end. At the start Gerard said, "once again, this city - best ******** crowd of this tour," but yeah, they probably say that every time wink rolleyes blaugh

Nothing, even the b***h who put gum in my hair (on purpose stare H0r ) could have dampened my mood.

The one unfortunate thing was that guitarist Frank was sick and wasn't there. As in really sick, he missed shows in Japan and then all the Australia ones. So they had a fake Frank - Faux-Frank, if you will - called Todd (or something) to fill in. Faux-Frank was great though. He had the same haircut as the real one, lol. He just played in the corner and didn't really interact with the others. xp

Then after they'd finished, my friend and I both got setlists but THEY WERE USING MINE because there were annotations all over and duct tape on it from being stuck to the floor! Wheeeeee!!!!! whee cool That same friend was also spat on by Gerard Way. gonk blaugh She was disgusted in a 'hey cool' kind of way. Gee tard was awesome - everyone who says he can't sing live don't know what they're talking about. They don't just play, but really perform which impressed me the most.
Link to setlist so as not to stretch the page:
Here are a few of the funny things drawn on my pants.

This one's for Mel - blame Canada.

Here are some random cartoons. The quote is, "There's less violence in the world when people are using hula-hoops" - Mikey Way.

I am in love with this one. Spooooooky.

My personal favourite quote.

We decided to include Waldo, though if you're interested, it's called 'Where's Wally' in Aus. We also hid all the other stuff like magic scrolls and Wag the dog's tail from the books everywhere.

Some stick men, and Old-School Geetard's head, as depicted by my friend.

Then you can fly!!!!

XD

My Cons didn't escape, either.
No pics of the actual band, though, since they were confiscating any camera they saw and I didn't want my phone taken away. crying
All in all, great show!! Sorry to everyone who doesn't like them and/or doesn't really care. I'll stop my MCR rants now, promise! sweatdrop sweatdrop sweatdrop

Now if LP could just come to Perth, God damnit!!! xp gonk
