Drea sent a look to Silent, not sure of what she meant by her words, then put a hand on Ukaia's shoulder, patting it. "Shall we have a look at your magic then?" he asked cheerfully, stern demeanor gone.
Cerri sniffled, then leaned on Guan, her eye closing briefly. "It's just... I knew I was going to mess up. I should have found someone else to do the spell... maybe Bard. I don't know." She trembled slightly, then swallowed hard. "She's getting depressed, and I can't see into her mind even when I try, like I usually can. I don't know what to do..."

The old neko smiled and pet her ears, then walked slowly back to the couch, wincing as he sat down. "Come over here, my child, and we'll see what we can see."

Rubbing her cheek she sank down, at the top of the stairs her legs crossed as she watched them. Blinking in curiosity as she tilted her head in a bit of clouded confusion. Setting her hands together she closed her eyes and folded her fingers together, listening to the words of what she suspected to be whispering people around her. She just sat and did this for as long as she thought she had to, not moving and hardly breathing it seemed sometimes.

Arlen was about to try standing up when she heard Ukaia reveal who she was and instead curled up a bit, blushing furiously, her ears floping down to cover her face to an extent.
"First of all, I believe I remember time beeing short when the spell was cast. Would there really have been enough time to get another person who could cast it?," Guan asked, rubbing Cerri's shoulder. "Secondly there could be many reasons why Lily might be depressed, and I'm willing to bet there are many possible reasons for why you can't see into her mind."

Drea smiled to Ukaia, then gave a chuckle at Arlen. "Calm down, boy. I once spent a month dressed as a showgirl... the lizard loused up a simple spell." Then he turned back to Ukaia and smiled, putting two fingers on her left temple. "Now... close your eyes, take a deep breath and picture your magic... I'm going to come along for the ride, so to speak, so that I may see it as well." Carefully, he closed his eyes, then delicately linked his magic with hers.
"It's my fault, I just know it." Cerri whispered, shaking her head. "And if I hadn't made Bard leave, he would have stayed and been able to do the spell." She gulped and hid her head in his chest, one hand clutching his sleeve.

Guan wrapped both of his arms around Cerri. "I get the feeling there's more too this than that," he said softly.
Arlen nodded numbly and pulled herself to her feet with much help from the banister. She then tottered her way into the kitchen to find something to eat.

"More to what?" Cerri asked, squeezing her eye shut. "There isn't anything more. I screwed up, and now Lily is going to pay for it."
"Very good." Drealan murmured, smiling a bit. "You've been practicing as I've told you... now... it's your magic. You know it better than I. Do you feel anything different, or strange?"

"Sorry," Guan said, giving Cerri a squeeze. "But you're going to great lengths to blame yourself for this. Now, assuming you did screw up, is it something that cannot be mended?"

"Hmm." Draelan pulled out and sat back, examining her. "I see. You might be trying spells that are simply too advanced then." he suggested. "Uka... your magic seems to be mostly healing. Until you work the bits of it that aren't, other spells will be tricky and risky. You should be starting small."
Cerri took a moment to ponder his first words, then sighed and snuggled closer, taking the comfort that he offered. It was nice to have someone to lean on again, even if only a little, she realized, then sniffled. "I could probably fix it, once i figured out what went wrong." she admitted, then sighed. "I'm sorry... I'm being rather pathetic. I shouldn't have bothered you."

"You're no bother," Guan said, giving Cerri a squeeze. "Everyone needs someone to confide in and I am honored to be here for you. If there's anything you desire, just ask."
Arlen teetered back out of the kitchen, yawning occassionally as she headed towards the stairs with the intent of going to bed.
