I never mentioned a time limit, I used time as a measurement. The new system, from what you've told me (since I still haven't seen the official version still) sounds like it would work just fine.

I'm saying people haven't been ranking up in the past, at all, it seems. Regardless of ranking system time requirements. I can think of only a handful of RPC's that ranked up beyond Special Jounin, and most of them feel like auto-ranking to fill the slot.

Just tell me, who earned a Jounin rank DURING roleplay in POTS? Highest rank I've seen earned via testing is Chuunin. (I admit I didn't see your testing for special Jounin, Hinote. So I can't confirm or deny that example)

I think I have the highest ranking RPC in the guild via earned ranks right now, though I have to admit my ranking up to special jounin feels like an autorank to me too, since I didn't exactly do much to earn it. I'm ranked beyond my power right now, which is why once this new kazekage bit is done with I'm gonna have to do some serious spam training.

But you're right, the highest ranks gained by testing thus far are chuunin, and all of those through the chuunin exams last year. Some suna genin have been given the chuunin rank too. Mostly an autorank, but a minor combat achievement was used to justify it.

And yeah, like you said, practically nobody has ranked up in the past. Probably a grand total of seven people have ranked up. That's why we finally made the ranking system we have now, but really, it was too little too late. If we'd had the ranking system a year ago, we probably wouldn't have completely lost so many people to TUP opening. A new guild means new autoranks, which means the chance to play a higher ranking character whereas here, we've had genin stuck at that rank for over a year.
