I don't know if I've quite made "payroll" yet, or if I even want to. I heard Luthor was offering an obscene amount of money to kill a B-list cape, and I just couldn't help myself. For the time being, I'm just an outside contractor.
Gotta say, though, I'm a bit surprised. I read the kid's dossier, and I know what he done to you and Luthor and Bullseye last year. Embarrassing as all hell, to say the least. Knowing you like I do, I figured you'd want to tear the little bastards limbs off yourself. Instead, you let him call in the cavalry. Hey - I ain't judging, and I ain't complaining. You go and do that and I'm out of a job and a whole lotta money. Just wondering what gives?

Yeah, but not usually in these numbers or aggregate power level. It's days like this that I wish those terrorists had dumped me in radioactive waste and tied me to a lightning rod or something.
