After a moment of thought, Mephlius' look changed to one of defeat. "Huh... I never thought of it that way." He looked at her a moment, then smiled. "Alright... No more secrets, for any reason." He stuck out his hand for a handshake. "Deal?"

Amnity turned her full attention back to Mephlius' parents, but she stood beside him confidently. "Do you have a place to stay while you're in New York? I can reserve for you a suite in the Carlyle hotel over in Manhattan." The Carlyle hotel, of course, was one of the East city's top Luxury hotels. Of course Amnity would pay for the stay there. "I heard it's nice. I haven't been there personally, but my grandfather has."

Mephlius' dad leaned in, and whispered to him. "I like this girl for you..." She's rich! Which prompted yet another elbow to the stomach. "Thank you for the offer, dear... but we booked a hotel before we came. I don't know what I'd do with myself if I'd known you were paying that much money on us." She smiled a kind, gentle smile. Richard opened his mouth as if to say something, but apparently, he had learned his lesson, and shut it quickly. I know what I'd do if you gave us that hotel... But he didn't have the guts to say it.

Amnity frowned a bit. "I insist, it's of no consequence to me." She didn't catch the chitter chatter going on between Mephlius and his dad, she only saw his mother elbowing his father in the stomach. His mother seemed really kind though, which only made her persist more.

Amnity sighed. How could she argue with Mephlius' mom? With Mephlius she could probably win a few arguments, but with her it's a bit more difficult. Eventually, she gave in. "Alright...Whatevers best for you Mrs. Falke." The hunter leaned over to Mephlius and held his hand. She looked up at him and whispered very softly. "Your parents are nice..."

Mephlius smiled, and whispered back. "Thank you." Mrs. Falke smiled, and looked at her husband, with a look of "Look at what I just did!". He smiled, and gave her a quick peck. After a few seconds, he whispered. "You just couldn't have let her give us the fancy hotel room?" Karen rolled her eyes. "Why do I put up with you?" She said playfully.

Wolf slid down the rail of the subway stairs. He landed with a bit of a stumble and a playful smile on his face that said I always wanted to do that! Wolf noticed Amnity, Mephlius, and two other people that were unknown to him. "Hi Amnity, Hi Mephlius...and...wait lemme guess..." He looked at the other people, back at Mephlius and Amnity, then back again, still smiling. "Your Mephlius' parents!" Wolf laughed. "I'm one of Amnity and Mephlius' friends, nice to meet you. And sorry if I just barged in." His eyes merry, Wolf extended a hand for either Mephlius' mom or dad to shake.
