"Oh? I can not wait!" Feeling water on her feet? That was such a nice feeling that she never got often, either! Suddenly, she wanted Prom to end now, just so she could put her feet in the water. "I do not own one either! I will need to get one before we go swimming." Her lips pressed together in a thin line, pondering how she was going to go about it; her earlier boast made it impossible to ask him to take her to get one, after all. Hmm!

"Go with...?" She sounded baffled, the tone cut off with a very quiet gasp as his hold on her shifted and she found herself dipped backwards. Normally such a move would have her fighting to stay upright, but his warning, coupled with her trust in him, had her literally bending to his whims. The clacking of his teeth sent an uncontrollable shiver through her; she recalled in that moment just how dangerous they were, and knowing they were so close... Suddenly she was pressed against him again, the movement leaving her with another soft gasp, this one melting into an excited giggle.

"Oh...my! What was that?" She...she liked that!

Jericho stared in dismay as Aymet disappeared. No doubt he would reform in Cricket's office.

Well.

Hopefully he did.

As always, Shun was thoroughly ignored. This time though, it wasn't intentional; Mac just had tunnel vision for the most beautiful ghoul in the room.

"It certainly does." Without needing any further prompting, Mac took a hold of her waist and started right into the same slow dance they had done over a year ago now in his room. The quiet, shifting motion to a quiet, somewhat depressing song. A few moments later and a hand trailed up, sliding through her fingers to pull her hand down from his shoulders.

"Congrats on your crown by the way, my Queen." The Reaper chuckled softly, bringing her now trapped fingers to his lips for a brief kiss.

"AAAAAAAAACH TEH GLITTER COOTIES!!!!!!!!!!!"

Freya stopped, dropped, and rolled.

Well. There was a crack in her voice, but otherwise the chuckle was sweet and light. It's hard to promise such a thing. But. I can promise you that dying once was quite enough for me. If I have any say in the matter, I never plan on doing it again.

She pulled her head back enough to look at the ghoul, and focus on her features. Her hand rose up to cup one cheek, and a long, clawed finger brushed against the skin to wipe any tears away.

Come now. Riley whispered gently. Smile once more. The celebration must go on. You have a prom to run.

And she had a cell to return to.

Riley's arms seemed reluctant to actually let the ghoul go.

"Tell me sweet fledgeling, just how I earned that nickname?" He liked it, but he didn't have feathers. His hair was close enough to grey to count, he supposed. It didn't take him long to realize that she was focusing on their feet, and he fought back a laugh. "I will not feel it if you step on me. If you like you may even stand on my feet!" He was also being careful to not step on her, but he was definitely having an easier time of it.

"Fair enough, very well, I will not feel bad for monopolizing your time!" This little one was amusing, he thought. Very much able to hold her own. "I will still feel bad for startling you." He got the gist of why she had trailed off, his own red gaze dropping to the blood stains on his scarf. "You are welcome! A pity the night has to end, I have quite a few questions regarding your kind." There was a clear lament in his voice; he was curious, but this was a social event and not quite the time and place for many questions.

That was enough. No more dying. Dissipating, maybe. Maybe. But no dying.

Please no. Not ever again.

Her head tilted back as Riley moved and glowing green eyes opened wide to look up at the mindflayer again, sniffling and biting down on her lip. Smile. Right. Smile..

...Smile...

Come on, you can do it.

Riley was back.

She cleared her throat once, moving one hand from Riley to wipe at her own eyes before finally finding the will to do as Riley asked. She smiled, a bright, genuine smile. She was happy. Lizzy had said she was proud of her, people had complimented her about her dress and the event itself, students and horsemen were mingling and enjoying themselves, everyone was happy. Sure, there were a few mishaps but this was high school there would be drama at even the most cheerful events. For now all that mattered was Riley. She looked her over, her tentacles, her face, her arms. Stripes all over. Gray stripes. It would seem the marks of Insanity were permanent.

"You look good.." Junko commented, still smiling. "The stripes um...they..they make you look uh..exotic! Yeah! Like a purple tentacled tiger." She gave the mindflayer a grin now, even laughing a little.

It was easy to follow his lead in the dance, and although it was a slow dance, she was content not to talk. The silence was nice, actually.

"Thank you, my King," She giggled, blushing at the way he was conducting himself, even if it was only for the night. Her hand tightened around his when he kissed her fingers, and like him, "I'm glad that I'm your date this prom..."
