Wow found my first post in this guild there too... page 4 more exactly.
That means I joined this guild Mon Aug 16, 2004 *gasp* So that means my theory of me joining this guild about 1 year after joining Gaia was right.
Ohyeah I remember that thread! Just keep on forgetting when I joined, don't I?

Mou That is true, but then I wouldn't exactly call it god modding anymore. God modding to everyone else who reads it and isn't aware of the agreement between characters. I hate having to put a ooc line into my posts explaining that the god modding aspect is perfectly ok.

First rp I was an alien in some superheroish gig. I remember being so annoyed years later when someone was reviewing me for a literate guild and, even though I had been lit roleplaying in the guilds for a couple of years, that oneliner alien stuff was the only thing in my history so they assumed I was a noob. Gah.
And no updates on the depressed boyfriend as of now. Talked to the school counselor but nothing's happened yet.

Hello all. I'm new here at the Role-playing Refuge, so I just thought I would introduce myself. You can call me Moonshadow, or just Moon if you like.
I started roleplaying at a site my friend showed me. It was a proboard. The site got overly dramatic, so I left pretty soon after joining. Before leaving that site, I made one of my one. My friend helped me get started. It is based off the Warriors Series, by Erin Hunter. (If you haven't read those books, I definitly recommend them.)
Our site was doing very well for a while, with about fifteen to twenty active members. Alas, it is now pretty much dead, save a few dedicated friends.
I wanted to join this guild mostly out of boredom and curiousity. I try to write as much as possible, and keep my posts interesting, but if you see them lacking in effort, with just a few lines, then it's probably for lack of a good lead in previous posts. I'm usually consist, and I'm on as often as possible, if I'm not neck-deep in homework.
Anyways, that's me, and how I do things. I can't wait to get started role-playing! ^_^

Welcome, Moon! Hope you have fun. Again, guys I need more suggestions for what to improve on the Ragnarok RP I was streamlining and improving for Mass. The original system and RP is here.I'd love to get feedback and suggestions, especially from some our more experienced and premier members.

It's ultra long catch-up post time again!
All the older mods have stepped away from the RPing table.
Legend of Faol'Dara is fun! It really isn't so much like ttrp-ing. BTW, I need to fix a past post and make a new one... For a smaple of their RPing, check the original Galvan in the Archive subbie.
Poor, Goosey-chan! *pats*
Well, MM, smack him upside the head! Show some "tough love"
Well, RG, acquiring points is a difficult thing to map out (which is also where I always get stuck in planning). I wish I could be of more help...
Welcome, Joe! There's no problem with being personal! *gluggles*
*laughs at RG's boldness and ego* wink
rolleyes Of course you can, candy! That's what being a mod means. Yeah, Talon's RPing is mighty. I started RPing when I came here (about a week or two after I joined Gaia hich was over 2 years ago). Before that, I hadn't the slightest notion of what RPing was. I'm glad I'm here, though, and it has helped me to hone my writing skills to an extent (not to mention that it's freaking fun). Strangely, I was never n00bey (I hope) as far as one-liners went.
*is happy that ultra long catch-up posts have been named after him* 4laugh *gluggles Talon-sama* *is interested in what a solely villain Rp would be like* eek seven... teen... *collapses*
*suprised* Of course he is! *kisses Talon's ring* xd
I'm not as good at sole combat situations. Every once in a while I hit a good stride, but inbetween...
Welcome, Moon! *gluggles*
sweatdrop Sorry about that, DTT...
EDIT: All this nostalgia is great! It provides for a lively conversation.

*gluggles Scarlett* Hey! Long time no see, darlin! Yeah, I have been RPing longer than the majority of Gaia has been alive. I know. And I am not the Godfather . . . my offers are generally ones that can be refused.
*looks to Mou-chan* Hey . . . I liked it. redface the name was nice for a while. And No, I am not that good. hell, at this rate I am fallign out of practice.
Merlinic- don't let up. I know it is hard right now, but you need to keep on everybody about this. People need to step up and help you make sure the BF makes it through this okay. In the long run, he will likely thank you for this.
Nice to meet ya Moon. New faces are always welcome here! mrgreen
Well, Yoder/Data-sama . . . your posts are known to be almost random in their organization and almost novel-ish in their length. Who better to earn that distinction? razz Besides, as I keep trying to tell Mou-chan, I am not that mighty! Just happen to have an overative imagination and read a lot of books to help my vocabulary. redface redface redface Oh, and the only ring I have on is my wedding band- not sure what kissing that might do for ya. Of course if you wish to give me a good salute as one of my current mods/honour guard for the guild . . . blaugh
Yes, Yoder . . . seventeen. sweatdrop there is a reason I willingly accept the title of 'Ojiisan', ya know. As for the Villians RP, that was a hell of a lot of fun for me. No valiant knights or righteous causes- just a bunch of people with their own ends. It was organized like a guild, but acted like a military group. One scene involved my char (draconian, my fave!), and Krome. I was visiting her office when another char entered, an elven one. I have my reasons for hating elves in general, so I played that up and made a DAMNED good fight out of it. I lost, for the most part, but it was still wonderful! Wasn't it Krome?

Well, they are log, but they're organized in order of the posts I'm replying to. the only problem is that I don't always make itclear to whom I am referring to. We'll always think that you're a great RPer. You're our icon of sorts!
*was making a reference to "The Godfather"* Naturally... wink
Whew... Most people leave Gaia after college. I'm glad you chose to stay, though! *uber-gluggles*
Oh, that sounds like it was bushels of fun.

Not too fond of point system RPs, they kind of take the fun out of being imaginative... and they can be hell to controll and teach to less experienced RPers (is referring to a certain Raising the Fighting Spirit Naruto RPing Guild and their, in my opinion, complex system). I understand why some people want to control god modding with points, but I beleive in a good RP people should be able to loose as well as win and be able to take hits without anyone having to tell them *is the one who always lets other people win* xD

Just thought I'd randomly post, since I don't have anything better to do in this class. Except study for my programming test, but I don't know what "studying" is so whatever.

I got to blast Talon out the window of my tower! *cackles* Of course that was after he attacked my elvish friend and womped me for interferring. So my character got mad... and she gets a bit...excessive when she's angry. It was an absolute blast playing that ^_^ even if we didn't really have much of a storyline. >_> And then we lost our leader Fenix to her real life. School, Novel writing, boyfriend. *chuckles* The people in the first Galvan ought to remember Fenix.... she played Adriana. I told her to make a not nice character and she... erm... took it a bit over the top as far as general bitchiness but it inspired some action in galvan that i thought was missing ^_^ I now use her accounts as my mules since she basically left Gaia. Ah. The good old days.
