1 Season 1
1.1 Episode 1: Apache vs. Gladiator- was okay, gladiator should have won. Unless the apache were mounted, like most of them were during attacks, in that case the Apache should have won.
1.2 Episode 2: Viking vs. Samurai- was really nice to see, Samurai have superior tactics and technology. The Japs win here.
1.3 Episode 3: Spartan vs. Ninja - Spartan victory, no contest. Spartans are trained soldiers, ninjas, (Im talking about true ninjas) were farmers and never fought out in the open, Victory to Sparta.
1.4 Episode 4: Pirate vs. Knight- this one depends on terrain, but the victory should go to the knight, even with black powder the crew failed to put into fact that knights have shields along with armor and depending on certain weapons, the pirates have never ever fought in an open field of combat, Knight tactics were superior and for open combat, and pirates were rarely ever strong enough(due to there life style) many reports of french, spanish and english sailors said that when they swung their sword and a pirate went to block, the pirate's arm would break due to their malnutrition and pour life styles. Cannons were the only thing the pirates had on knights, and even then, accuracy for a cannon at that time was limited.
1.5 Episode 5: Yakuza vs. Mafia- honestly, I could not tell you, this was a good fight and episode.
1.6 Episode 6: Green Beret vs. Spetsnaz - I wont comment on my military biased, but i dont agree with this episode on a lot of problems.
1.7 Episode 7: Shaolin Monk vs. Māori Warrior- Shaolin due to a multitude of reasons, including technology being the main. Shaolin actually served in several battles and wars, but I would absolutely hate to be on the wrong side of a Maori Warrior. Was a good fight.
1.8 Episode 8: William Wallace vs. Shaka Zulu- Wallace for the win.
1.9 Episode 9: IRA vs. Taliban - I would say for the time period they used, the IRA. They could more easily attain equipment and technology than the Taliban. Though with modern days, I would say Taliban, with their versions of IED's and tactics, they are in some firefights on par with the us military.

2 Season 2
2.1 Episode 10: SWAT vs. GSG9- Swat, nuff said.
2.2 Episode 11: Attila the Hun vs. Alexander the Great- horrible weapon choice for alexander, but was a decent watch, no complaints here.
2.3 Episode 12: Jesse James vs. Al Capone- with a .45 ACP round and the Thompson submachine gun, there should have been no contest. Its just the simple fact of an automatic weapon vs. semi auto revolvers.
2.4 Episode 13: Aztec Jaguar vs. Zande Warrior - havent seen, wasnt interesting.
2.5 Episode 14: Nazi Waffen-SS vs. Viet Cong- havent seen.
2.6 Episode 15: Roman Centurion vs. Rajput Warrior- havent seen.
2.7 Episode 16: Somali Pirates vs. Medellín Cartel- havent seen.
2.8 Episode 17: Persian Immortal vs. Celt- havent seen.
2.9 Episode 18: KGB vs. CIA- havent seen.
2.10 Episode 19: Vlad the Impaler vs. Sun Tzu - havent seen.
2.11 Episode 20: Ming Warrior vs. French Musketeer- havent seen.
2.12 Episode 21: Comanche vs. Mongol - havent seen.
2.13 Episode 22: Navy SEAL vs. Israeli Commando - havent seen.
3 Season 3
3.1 Episode 23: George Washington vs. Napoleon Bonaparte- sorry to say, but I love america and all, but Napoleon should have one. Superior numbers, superior training, superior navy, superior cannons, and the fact that they measured a straight sword vs a calvary sword is no bueno.

I agree with you on most things LT, but in my opinion, GSG9 should have moped the floor with the SWAT, they have superior weapons, although I am american, I have to give that win to the German.

- Spartan VS Ninja: Technically speaking, Viking would have the upper hand, BUT the real ninja would win because they were faster and more agile than the Vikings, Speed and Agility trump brute strength any day in my opinion.

- Pirate VS Knight: Totally agree with you, Knights should have won that one.

- IRA vs Taliban: I agree, IRA was the better choice. Taliban, in my opinion, never stood a chance.

- Napoleon vs Washington: My money was on Napoleon... The God of War should have slaughtered Washington... That Episode, along with the GSG9 and CIA one made me believe that if you put the Americans vs anything else, the Americans will win...

Oh really? I totally forgot about that xD

But yea, they are German... What do you expect? Though again... GSG9 Should have kicked SWAT's a**... No offense :/

No sir I would disagree for the GSG9 episode, the swat should have won, honestly they brought a taser to the gun fight and still won. As for superior weapons, America and its states have limits on the types of weapons that their law-enforcement may have. (To ensure that the Gov does not get too powerful over the firearms of its citizens) while for the germans, they have no such law, so there weapons are the same as the military, if they so choose. Also our swat training, and the demands put on our swat are drastically higher than that of the GSG9. They most action the GSG9 has, is against the vietnam cigarette smugglers. Not lying, that is word of mouth from my german (german army/ police) friend sitting right next to me on the couch.

As for the Spartan verse the ninja lets look at the facts for a second. The ninja main time period was the iron and steel age, while the spartans were bronze and iron. Speed is effective for a few reason, mainly to get from one combat zone to another, Next is to exploit it openings and weakness in your enemy. The american military uses the first kinda of speed because its more efficient for our time period. We use speed to travel from one base to another by ie helicopter or HMMWV (Humvee) and once we get to the combat zone, we are consider (by other nations) as heavy infantry. We have Body armor, helmets, kneepads, and a 50-75 pounds back pack with assorted equipment. In real life, thats not very easy to run and fight with, and you do have alot of speed. As opposed to our current enemy who wear civilian attire and are used to running alot and are very speed oriented. History has proven that a armored opponent will almost always defeat a faster/ more agile opponent. Now take this as a modern example of what that battle would be like, make the Americans into Spartan, and the Insurgents into the Ninja. Ninja were only good at ambushes, coordinated assaults aiming at small numbers, not to inflict damage, but to inflict fear amongst the Samurai Shogun. Of their time period, ninja were really like terrorist with weird sense of honor. Spartans training is far superior to a ninja's (who would have to train in hiding due to their shogun law) Spartan training from age's early at 6, but most commonly as 7 in order to be soldiers. And not only did the Spartans train in open battlefield combat, but they were extremely well known for assaulting and conquering trench/ fortified positions and for being ambushed and would end up defeating their ambushers. Now lets go into armor and tactics. As a ambusher the best way to kill some one is from where they are not looking, for example, from the flanks, and from behind. And history and even modern science tells us that whomever has the higher ground has a considerable advantage. So now it makes it more preferable to ambush from above and behind. Now for the weaknesses of the spartan and their amor, is actually not from behind. The weakness of a Hoplite was in fact their feet/ behind their knees/ and their groin. The most of their armor is in their shield which while traveling or not in combat would be slung across the back. Completely making it highly difficult to ambush them from behind. The rest of their armor is their helm with covers almost all of the head so well that a version of it was even considered for modern riot police. Covers from the base of the neck in the back, and even the throat in the front. Their linothorax protected the torso and mostly the shoulders.

The IRA vs Taliban, I can really say because the IRA kinda doesn't do much nowadays while the Taliban still do. I know more of the Anit- US taliban rather than the Anti-USSR taliban. But with the taliban tactics now, they are super difficult opponents, some times only a handful of them could pin down an entire squad of marines or soldiers. And they are super devoted to their cause, for example, if you know five to six heavily armed guys are about to kick down your door, you would go hide behind some s**t! Instead they have a guy, stand right on the other side of the door with a AK right in your face. So from reading reports of buildings we have tried to clear, usually the first two men who enter the building are going home in a box.

Sorry for the super long explanation, but what the hell i already went for it.

And you also have to specify which Swat team your going to use, could be any swat team from Fayette County SWAT, or Miami SWAT, or Dallas SWAT etc. different areas have different standards for swat.
