Bah it's to pastoral. At least thats my first impression so far. I can't really get into the country hick vibe and when reading anything, I always do it in some form of British accent. Which makes for an untouching read.

I liked the over all picture of it. It helps that the teacher who taught it used something that I loved to teach it. That is he had us write actual mini stories using your own character and taking a scene from the book and writing the scene from your characters point of view.
