Hooray! a new character!!!!!!! Too bad I have know idea who heis cos I've never played Fire Emblem.... Sauvie Holy Crap, I had a feeling that this would be FE week for a character. I really like how this looks... but I kind of hope that Marth is still in Brawl, I really dont give a flying ******** about Roy. Same here. Marth is gewd. Yamato1 And yet, poor fish, still no meta-knight update. 3nodding He had his update for the week. xp bloodsoaked Raui bloodsoaked BUT WHAT IS THEY TAKE OUT MARTH FOR IKE?! gonk They're going to take out Marth? Says who? I'm just asking... they'll probably take out roy though... no clones and such I always thought Marth as Roy's clone, but I really hope he's the one to stay... @ Silver Skull: Nice pics, I like how Pikachu looks xD

I'm thinking with Marth and Ike looking a lot alike, Marth will be cut, and another sword fighter will be added, that looks different and controls differently. I can't believe how much s**t has filled everyone's pants, though. xd
To the people who asked: I haven't played Fire Emblem, it really just doesn't interest me much. I don't like strategy games or care for many RPGs. I'd try it out, but I have eleven dollars, and I need to buy gas.

How many ******** times do I have to say this people? The only reason SSBM had clones was because they game was rushed to be a launch title for GCN. Sakurai is making sure this game has a lot of time put it in so there will be no flaws or unneeded gaming in this. C'mon, do you really think they are that lazy?

Akkad` How many ******** times do I have to say this people? The only reason SSBM had clones was because they game was rushed to be a launch title for GCN. Sakurai is making sure this game has a lot of time put it in so there will be no flaws or unneeded gaming in this. C'mon, do you really think they are that lazy? I'm just thinking that perhaps they'll add in another Fire Emblem character that is a lot different. Someone small and fast, opposed to Ike, who I'm assuming is a bit slower and stronger. I could be wrong, but that's just my guess. Then again, we already have Meta Knight.

He's the main charatcer I do believe.
Come on Draken, even I knew that, and I haven't even played the game yet!
But I've never played a single Fire Emblem Game?
and I didn't even know Fire Emblem Existed until recently... well I did know the name when I saw Marth in Super Smash Bros but that's it I didn't know what the games entailed >_>
Also your post kinda suggests you're -going- to play that game saying you have some background knowledge of it.
While I didn't know of it's existence full stop.

Definitely not slow, though.

I like the idea that they are including Ike and all but in all honesty I still prefer Roy. Marth I don't really care if they bring him back or not because he just felt like a faster clone of Roy but it would still be cool to see both Roy and Marth back in the game.

Apparently I'm the only one that is a strong believer in this, but:
I think that they aren't going to remove any characters; either that or very few. For the clone characters, their moveset will be altered so they can stand alone and still be fun to play.
Like as for this Ike-Marth-Roy thing, I'm pretty sure Ike is going to play a lot different from Marth and Roy. And either Marth or Roy is going to have a sort of different moveset so they aren't a "clone" character any more.
Why are you guys so worried they're going to remove characters. Even if there are clones, why is it such a big deal?

Everything else is different about them

Roy technically is the Clone of Marth in Melee, you unlock Marth first so if you go chronilogically, Marth is the original, Not to mention that Marth is a better fighter all around than Roy is anyway.
