Psychedelic...
I think I know, I mean I "Yes" but it's all wrong...

Mephlius walked down the stairs to the subway. A woman with many of Mephlius' features stepped off. Just as he has promised, she had his eyes and his nose. She scanned the room, and found Mephlius. "MEPHLIUS!" She called out as she ran right at him. Mephlius let go of Amnity's hand, just in time to wrap his arms around his mother. "Hi, Mom." He said calmly. It was evident that, if he hadn't been a lycan, he would have been torn in two right now. A man with Mephlius' hair and body shape walked up. "Now now, Karen..." She reluctantly let go... but only to elbow Mephlius' father in the chest. "Be quiet, Richard." Richard flinched a bit at the strong elbow to the chest, but turned to look at Amnity. "The lovely Amnity, I presume?" Karen turned to face Amnity as well. She spoke in a new tone, much more formal than before. "It's delightful to meet you, dear."

As Mephlius' mother stepped out of the subway, Amnity quickly fixed her jacket to conceal her revolvers from sight. She smiled, watching the beautiful family reunion quietly. It was when both of his parents adressed her did she blush and speak. "Hello, I'm glad that I can finally meet you both." The hunter quickly tucked a lock of her silver hair behind her ear, for the first time in her life wishing she looked at least decent and presentable. She shyly extended her hand out for a hand shake. "I hope your travels were well. I'm sorry it was all so short notice..."

Karen used one hand to toss Amnity's hand aside, and pulled her into a hug. "It's no problem at all." She waited a moment, then pulled away, and took a step back. Richard extended a hand, for a handshake. "It's nice to meet you."

Amnity was shocked, of course, with the hug. She laughed a bit and hugged her back, pulling away when she did. She really wasn't that nervous now, and she was shocked at the similarities Mephlius had with his parents. The hunter smiled brightly and shook his father's hand. "It's my honor sir. Mephlius told me so much about you two." That was a bit of a lie. She shot a look to Mephlius that only he could see before looking back to both of them.

Karen smiled. "We'll need to update you on everything. We haven't talked with Mephlius since... that trip over." She shook her head. "I thought you'd never recover from that inj-" Her eyes opened wide. "Uh... I mean..." Mephlius sighed. Damnit, Mom...

Amnity's smile dwindled a bit, but it was still there. That brought back some very painful memories, but she sucked it up the best she could. "No no...I'm alright...I was a bit careless in that particular occasion, that's all."

Richard looked at Amnity, then at Mephlius. "You never actually told her about it, did you?" Mephlius shook his head. "No, Dad. She'd just go on worrying too much again..." He turned to look at his mother. "But Mom kinda ruined that idea..."

Amnity looked over to Mephlius, smiling, but her eyes showed a much more apprehensive, angry emotion. "Mephlius?" She crossed her arms so to hold her and her hands from choking him. "Darling, I suggest that you tell me."

Mephlius thought a moment, trying to phrase it just right. "Well... remember when I got back from my trip, and I said bad had happened? That... may have been an overstatement." He paused a moment. "You see... I kind of got in a fight with the neighbors." His mom interjected. "They weren't too happy when they overheard that Mephlius was a hunter..."

Amnity blinked a few times. "...But....You looked fine when you came back. How many of them did you fight?" She didn't know whether to laugh at the thought of Mephlius starting a fight with some lycans next door, or to be cross with him.

Mephlius put a hand on each of Amnity's shoulders. "Amnity... calm down." He smirked. "The problem has been taken care of." Richard cut in this time. "You should have seen it... Mephlius ripped that guy apart. I'm just glad we stopped him before he- Karen elbowed him in the chest again. "Shut it, Richard. Don't encourage him." "Well, Karen... he's a full grown man, now. We can't keep telling him what to do. Let him make his own decisions." Mephlius glared at them for a second, then looked at Amnity again. "Please... calm down?" This is why I didn't tell her...

Mephlius shrugged. "What would it have accomplished? You would have gotten worried... I would have explained that I was fine, and we'd be... right here, in the exact same situation. Except... my return home from my trip wouldn't have been nearly as happy."
