Mag made his way over to the docks. There were plenty of buff sailors strewn about the place with their sea and fighting type pokemon close at hand helping carry loads of goods or just hanging near their masters. Mag wasn't interested in the petty shipping affairs that these people worked with however. He made his way over to the main ship, SeaGallop High Speed 7. It was the main ship to the Sevii Islands.
There was a small booth near the main docking area of the huge ship. Mag walked over to the teller. "Two tickets to Four Island please." He said politely. The teller looked up from her papers and replied, "Do you have a Rainbow Pass son?" Mag looked to his companion. She shrugged her shoulders. "What's that?" Mag asked the lady. "Due to new immigration laws anyone traveling to the Sevii Islands needs to have either a Tri-Pass, for One, Two and Three, or a Rainbow Pass to access them all." the lady said matter-of-factly.
"Where can I get one of these passes?" Mag asked.

Allegra's ears twitched as the sound of wing feathers rustling in the wind caught her attention, and without even really thinking about it, the Skitty crouched low to the ground, her fluffy tail swaying back and forth as she readied herself to counterattack. "Don't you hurt my friend!" the little kitten cried as she suddenly pounced, gaining decent height and slamming herself into the attacker, putting enough force into her jump to cause them both to veer off course and crash to the ground nearby, a few feet from where the terrified Cleffa was huddling. Allie's Fake Out attack had been successful, and as the small pink kitten pulled herself to her feet, she caught a good glimpse of the aerial assailant. It was definitely a bird Pokemon, sporting a hooked beak and was covered in dark feathers. The feathers atop its head formed a crown shape, and weren't overly large or impressive, but the fierce look in the Pokemon's eyes warned the two treasure hunters that they were not wanted there, and was only enforced by the threatening screech let out by the Murkrow.

As Keegan watched Raichu fall, his smile faded, and the boy gave a respectful nod towards the brave electric mouse as he was recalled. The way Surge's Raichu, and Kasiya's Shocker battled, so full of energy and determination, was endearing, and for a fleeting moment, he considered adding a Pikachu or Raichu to his team in the future. However, those aspirations soon vanished as Surge started to walk towards him, and the redhead glanced at the golden box for a second before meeting the gym leader's gaze.
For once Loki was being obedient; the large cobra had slithered up to his master's side and rested in his coils, the top of his head barely reaching up to Keegan's shoulder. The Arbok watched Surge carefully, still tasting the air around him with his cleft tongue. Keegan smiled affectionately at Loki, and rested his hand gently on the cobra's head. We did it, the boy thought happily, closing his eyes and basking in the moment of victory.

"Good on ya, boy," Surge grinned, clapping the youth on the shoulder rather roughly. "That Arbok 'o yours is somethin' else." He cleared his throat, and opened the small box, which seemed to be quite dwarfed by his large hands. "First of all, I'd like to give ya this, which is TM 34, Shock Wave. It'll always hit yer target, so there's no need to fear missin', ya know?" He handed Keegan a clear case, from within gleamed a golden disc. "Now onto the good part, eh? This 'ere's the Thunder Badge. Wear it with pride, boy, 'cause it allows your Pokemon to use the Hidden Machine Fly outta battle, y'see? Very important." He placed the badge in Keegan's palm, stepping back as an older gentleman came into the room, and approached them. He said nothing, but handed Keegan a bundle of notes before doffing his cap, and returning through the door from which he came. "And last but not least, yer prize money. Pretty sweet, eh?"

The Bulbasaur hunkered down as a barrage of Razor Leaves shot out from the bulb implanted on her back, and she growled, as the Machop was able to avoid most of them. A few cuts appeared on its grey, muscular body, but nothing that looked too serious or painful.
"Low Kick!" the hiker ordered, balling his hand into a fist and shaking it. Giving a cry, Machop dashed forward, using one arm to brace itself against the ground as it lunged with an outstretched foot, directing a sweeping kick towards the Bulbasaur. Lily hopped backwards, feeling the rush of wind past her face as the attack just missed, and she lowered her head, charging forward and ramming into the prone fighter with a powerful Double-Edge. The surprise attack made Miharu cry out with shock, and so did the Machop as it staggered back and collapsed onto its behind, breathing heavily. It seemed to want to go on, but couldn't, and it looked back towards the hiker and shook his head sadly.

Keegan groaned from Surge's gesture, as the man had put more force into it than intended, and he could barely muster a "Thank you, Lieutenant" as he tried to keep himself from being shoved to the ground. He gratefully accepted his rewards, putting both the TM and the money into his pocket, noting to put them in their proper places later. He took a few seconds to study the badge before putting that away as well, and also took the time to recall Loki, who looked as though he were about to fall asleep on the floor. He didn't know what else to say, and looked around the gym, almost feeling a bit stupid for not knowing what to do next. He looked towards Kasiya, almost as though he were pleading with her to do or say something, anything, to get Surge's attention away from him.

Despite Nina's original plans, she, Whitney, and Raimundo had decided to split from Kasiya and company, stating that they'd meet up with them later on. Nina seemed to desire a bit of alone time, and headed back off towards the Saffron City Gym, apparently desiring to return Jynx to the PC. She said she was "going to go somewhere else after that," but didn't specify where.
"I know I said I'd take out one of the Pokemon and travel with it, get to know it better, and stuff like that," she said, "but... I don't know. I feel like I'm carrying around a piece of Sabrina with me, and it's... well, kind of difficult. When I think of Jynx, I recall that it evolved on the very day when my sister was taken from me, and to consistently be around something that reminds me of that... Heh. It's not too pleasant."Raimundo stood next to Whitney, across from the psychic. "Would you like one of us to come with you?" he offered. "You know, in case you need to talk to someone?""Yeah, Nina," the other girl chimed in, "I know what it's like to be feeling low, and like, the best medicine is to talk out what's bugging you-- oh. Like, I'll be right back." Whitney's Pokenav jingled, signifying she had received a new text message. Stepping away from her friends, she silently read the message that displayed on the Nav's screen.
Whitney, come to gym now. I'll be waiting for my badge.
Crenu
She raised an eyebrow at the message. "Crenu?" she said softly to herself. "Who's that?" A pause. "Feh. Well, it like, doesn't matter. If he's that cocky, that means he's an overconfident jerk who like, needs to be put in his place. And imagine if I was the one to do that..." She grinned, turning back to her friends, quickly brandishing Rio's Pokeball from her belt. "Listen up, you guys! I've got business to attend to back at the Gym. It seems that there's like, this generic brat of a kid who needs to be taught a lesson, and I'm gonna be the one to do it!" Nina raised her eyebrows a tad. "Don't you go getting overconfident. That's what leads a lot of people to their destruction," she commented. Whitney shook her head. "Don't you be worrying about me. You worry about yourself, and you feel better, okie dokie? I'll be back in two shakes of a Mareep's tail."
She nodded to her sister, and then to Raimundo, before releasing the tri-headed Pokemon from its ball and flying away on it.

With a lazy yawn. A kid garbed in black and green walked out of the door of his house, situated next to a pond in Petal-burg with a backpack slung over his right shoulder. "Hurry up, Pal. I want to get out of this god-forsaken town.." with another yawn, small yips let out of his house. "Ral! Ral Ral Ral Ral.." and out from the shadows of the door came a young Ralts what hopped onto the boys shoulder. "Ralts!" it said with a happy smile, its green hairlike threads covering its eye expressions. "Now Ralts, I know that you do not like to fight so, we'll do as little of that as possible but... That doesn't stop us from having fun trainer battles right?" Ralts thought to itself for a moment. "Raaalts... Ralts!" The boy smiled and his deep green eyes closed for a moment as the wind blew through his raven black hair of which was partially tied up, leaving the bangs to blow freely. He proceeded to grab something out of his pack. It was a plain colored TM. All that was needed was to break it open over the Pokemon and the powder from it would allow it to learn its move. In this case, Hidden Power. Ralts hopped off his shoulder and the boy knealed [sp?] over, breaking the machine over Ralts, allowing the powder to absorb into it. "There you go Ralts, now you can deal some damage, thats hidden power. It will unleash your inner strength little buddy." Ralts was really pleased now that it new a new move and it was all thanks to its best friend. Ralts jumped back onto his shoulder and nuzzled against her masters face.
[Story time ninja ]
My name is Naoma Shiska. I'm the only child of the first generation of my family not to have any psychic prowess whatsoever. Before me, there were many strong psychics in my family and they were very popular. However, Popularity is a two sided coin and when I started school, well, my lack of ability got me into all sorts of scraps. I wasn't unpopular thats for sure. In fact, I was probably the most well-known kid in school, simply because of my lack of ability. School was never my thing though. Sure I could've been the smartest of the lot of them and even hold intelligent conversations with some of the teachers but... I didnt, I slept through every class, passing my classes with average grades. Man did I hate school. I had no friends, despite my good qualities out weighing the bad. I was always too forgiving. One day, I decided to walk home from school instead of taking the usual crap on the bus, decided to do something new I did. Man, was that a mistake. That being said it was the best mistake I had ever made. A local gang ambushed me.. they knocked me out and tied me to a chair and brought me under a bridge where no one could see the stuff they might do to me. There was eight or ten of them and boy did they mean business.. brass knuckles were thrown at my face numerous times. Even if I did break free.. I wouldn't do anything... I couldn't, I was always too much of a good person. They told me they were going to kill me and made insults at my expense. Things like 'why dont you psychic your way out of it. Or, 'Come on, think the ropes away.' and they would say it with such horrible expressions, expressions of sick twisted laughter at me for their own game. I was helpless but when the final blow was about to be struck, something happened. It was amazing, it looked as if the ropes had come to life. They were glowing blue and shot out at the ring leader wrapping him up tighter then a Christmas bow. Soon enough, the ropes on my feet and hands were also relinquished. They shot at a guy running away, tripping him where he stood and tying his hands behind his back. In shock I stood up. As soon as I did the chair behind me slammed into a guys face, he was ready to slit my throat. The rest had run away, thinking it was my doing. That day changed my life. Though you can bet I was confused and scared half to death. I searched for a source but no one was about. Suddenly I heard a cry, something like a Ralts and I saw it fall from the tall grassy knoll, beside the river. It had run a fever and I made the attempt to rescue it though, where I got the energy to do such a thing as run to the local clinic was beyond me. Though that was my first encounter with Ralts and it could sense my pacifistic lifestyle. As you might think, the fevered Ralts did survive and believe it or not its the same Ralts I have today. Even though Ralts was never capable of preforming that power since then, we've become best friends. When Ralts came out of her sleep I heard it talking to me though its lips never moved her kind serene voice was clear as bell and like ice in the summer my troubles were melted away. 'I know the way you are. You wouldn't throw a single punch to save your own life. Even if you could've back there, you wouldn't have done anything to harm those people so, how about you dont ever throw a single punch for yourself and just take those hits the way you want to and you can throw'em for me. And in return, I'll do the same.' It didn't even speak the usual words of ' ralts, ralts' it just bore its thoughts straight into my mind. It was as if I knew what it was thinking. I smiled and agreed. No body seemed to hear it with the exception of me but, it didn't make it any less real to me. Before Ralts went into the emergency room for her long six day recovery process, she and I vowed that when she got better we would leave this town and if needed... we would help those in trouble. So that they would not have to endure the pain I went through. Well, I've spoken enough, lets get back to reality. "Enter Naoma Shiska, The Lackadaisical Champion!"

"Hmm, I wonder how long before Whitney answers my call. Whatever, guess I'll catch a quick nap."
Crenu sighed, exhaling a large breath as he lent against the wall of the gym a few feet away from the entrance. He closed his eyes and half dozed off, not really asleep but to deep in thought to be considered conscious.
So what am I gonna do? What if she calls for a four on four battle? I've only got three pokemon. Then again, maybe she'll call a three on three, or a two on two. Heh, if she's in a hurry then she might even call a one on one. But what kind of gym battle would that be? Well I'm gonna assume it's a three on three. First out would be Poliwag. He's my weakest pokemon and still needs training, perfect for testing the waters...heh. But what if it's two on two? I don't want to chance losing a match because of him. Ariados is the next weakest, but strategy wise maybe that wouldn't be a good idea. With her agility and webbing, she has the potential to win the first match and leave lasting effects on the field and the opponent so she should be first. But Larvitar's power might be what I need to tear through the first two opponents and have the second one weak and ready to be worn out by Ariados's agility and tricks. But what if Larvitar loses the first match? I lost my power house and that's that. Hmm... maybe... But if she calls a four on four? I'll have to go catch another pokemon. But that takes time, and she will probably leave again and who knows how long until she agrees to come back...damn.

Train and Pikachu just roamed for a bit. Train then saw a Pidgey pass by them.
"Alright, just what we needed!" She said. "You want to battle it, Pikachu? Or should I let Ratata have the glory?" She asked the little electric-mouse pokemon.
"Pika pi!" Pikachu answered, and to back up it's response, jumped in front of Train to face the Pidgey. "Alright, then. Thundershock, Pikachu!" Train said. Pikachu zapped the Pidgey, dead on, since the bird pokemon hadn't been expecting it. "Pidg-eeyyyyy!" The Pidgey cried angrily. Once Pikachu had stopped his attack, then Pidgey stumbled a bit, weakened a lot. It ran at Pikachu in a weak tackle, not enough to do much damage. "Quick Attack!" Train commanded. Pikachu seemed to dissapear for an instant, then reapeared slamming into the wild Pidgey. The Pidgey fell over, fainted.
"All right!" Train said happily, scooping up Pikachu and hugging him. "That was really quick, too! You've gotten much stronger!" She said happily.

The wind rushed throughout Whitney's hair as Rio pedaled through the air, as if on a bicycle. She still couldn't get over the strange method that the wingless bird used for flying, but if nothing else it had proved to be efficient; since Dodrio were typically fast runners, this speed seemed to transfer over into Rio's attempts at flying.
As the time was passing and she neared Goldenrod City, she ran over the factors that would affect the battle with her challenger. How many Pokemon would she use? Which ones? Would the opponent have weak Pokemon, meaning that she'd need to switch to using her regulation Pokemon instead of the team she traveled with? What Pokemon did her opponent have? She hadn't had a decent battle in quite some time, so naturally these things were weighing heavily upon her mind.
For every minute that passed during her flight, it seemed to be equated to at least ten minutes; it was likely Whitney's anticipation was what made the time seem to be so stretched out. She was finally able to calm a bit, however, when she spotted the familiar scenery of Goldenrod City in the Johto region. "Ah," she said, "it's like, so nice to be coming home... Hehe. Rio, I want you to land down near the Gym for me! I've got a match to begin!" At the behest of his trainer, Rio slowly descended upon the bustling metropolis of Goldenrod, its three heads squawking in near unison. Landing and coming to a halt, Whitney dismounted the oversized fowl, recalling it into its Pokeball.
"Now, let's see," she murmured to herself, looking around. "Where's my challenger-- oh!" She spotted a male somewhere near her age leaning up against one of the walls, a bit distanced from the entrance. "You must be Crenu."

Crenu cracked one of his eyelids open at a loud squawking, only to see a Doduo, or a Dotrio. He forgot which was which since he didn't see them very often anyway. A rather cute girl of about his age dismounted the bird and addressed him.
"And you must be Whitney. You've kept me waiting for quite some time, hope this gym match is worth it."
He spoke with an air of confidence, but deep down inside he was a bit nervous. Normally a trainer challenging Whitney would have at least two badges under heir belt, or at least that's what it said in all the magazines he had read. He had only beaten Falkner, and Falkner sort of gave him that victory not that long ago. Still, he had to admit he was looking forward to this battle even if he refused to show it.
"Time is a precocious commodity. Shall we get started?"

"Sting! Harden!" Ky yelled up towards the roof. He figured that if the Scyther was readying for an attack, Sting should be in the best status possible. The cuts along Sting's arms worried him and this would help.
As the Scyther continued to circle, Sting maintained his zen-like state, bringing his forearms into a cross as his exoskeleton hardened. His eyes never shifted away from his opponents', but it soon became difficult for even Sting to see. The enemy Scyther had used Agility again, and Sting really began to strain his eyes to focus. What was his opponent planning?
Meanwhile, Little Guy grew eager to battle as well and saw a similar look in Daemyn's eyes. With a quick little Teleport, he set up his own little arena on the opposite side of the Houndour. With one of his wings pointed forward, he signaled for a fight. Though he couldn't gather the strength of M.A's Pokemon, he could tell this was her strongest, and he wanted a challenge.
Meanwhile, Ky stared up with a concerned look on his face. Something felt wrong, though he couldn't put his finger on it. Even so, he shook the feeling away. He had to believe in his Pokemon. It was always the least he could do.

Surge just laughed a bit at Keegan's uncertainty, and gestured towards him with his hand. "C'mon, boy, gimmie yer Pokemon. I'll heal 'em up for ya right quick," he nodded, indicating towards the small door at the back of the gym that lead to his makeshift 'office.' Inside was a cluttered desk, as well as several photos on the wall, most of them pictures from various military battles. There was also a photo of a younger Surge, holding an equally young-looking Pikachu in his arms. Surge made his way over to a healing machine, which could very well be missed in the messy little room. He quickly placed three Pokeballs of his own into the tray, indicating for Keegan to do the same. Once all the Pokeballs were in place, he initiated the healing sequence. A pale glow stretched across the chamber that held the Pokeballs, surrounding each of them in turn. After a few moments, a chime sounded, signaling that the Pokemon were all fully healed. Surge lifted the lid, and withdrew the Pokeballs, returning them to his belt, and to Keegan in turn. "Now," he said, rubbing his hands together as he grabbed a rather large coffee mug and filled it up, "let's get that rematch underway, shall we?"

The lady behind the counter pointed outside her booth to a large building. It had a sign on front stating: SEVII ISLAND FERRY OFFICES. Mag assumed that he had to go over and thanked the lady for her help before Linalee and he went to the building.
Mag walked over to the counter to pick up a pass. "Hello," Mag said to the man behind this counter. "Can I pick up a Rainbow Pass please?" Seeing as that pass gave you access to all the islands it would be much easier to get that than the Tri-Pass, which wouldn't allow him to get to Four Island anyway. "That'll be $3000 for one pass. You'll need to get another if your girlfriend is coming along." he said noting Linalee who was leaning on the counter.
"Uh, she's not my girlfriend but thanks for the tip." Mag said handing over his cash to get the pass. "Do you have enough for one?" He asked his friend. "Yeah, but it's pretty much all I've got." She said with a sigh as she handed over the cash for her own pass. "But at least I can get home this way." The two headed out of the building, with siginificantly reduced wallets, and made their way back to the small booth. Flashing the passes they had bought the lady inside opened up the gate and the two friends walked aboard the ship.
