Lt. Brookman
Might I suggest the use of emotes then? It gives that extra oompf in most scenarios.

Thank you for repeating what I said earlier! Redundancy is always welcome.... stare

What the ******** is the deal?

I don't want to trust you because you told me to four times, which indicates you are desperate, which implies you don't have the means to make a valuable point, which means this whole plan could be a bunch of s**t.
xp
Nah Really, I like it, and I thought of using something similar, I like the idea of Piranhas, but I forgot/didn't know about them being able to detach their drones.

yesh you say you hate it but then you say you actually like it.. don't diss something and then say.. oh yah by the way it's a good idea stressed .. forget it.. i deleted the thing... if all i am going to get is this then I won't bother posting what good stuff i collect.. personally you've anoyed me a few times and this one has taken the cake... please be more careful what you say.... think before typing.. some people can take things the wrong way...

I am sorry if my... message anoyed you... but... not everyone believes just how useful gundrones can be... I have used them and sure they usually get killed but not after the amount of time spent on them trying to remove them.

And yes they can remove their gundrones... they classed as open topped so the drones and shoot and assualt the turn they detach which allows for even more effective use... they are best used to piss people out and against some races they can be deadly... . specially low leadership races 3nodding , lol even the high levels.. sure chances are they won't get pinned but still... sure be sweet having a necron warrior squad or some flayed ones become pinned due to some shots from some flying disks xd

Ugh...
Ive added a face to convey humor.
If you really paid attention, I said I liked the idea.

Yes I tend to annoy people sometimes, its bound to happen, just a lot in my case. sweatdrop
But you're post doesn't annoy me or whatever I just add humor to everything I do.

Uh Oh! Arcon is sticking up to big Mac!
Dear God! Our fellow forumsman is standing up to tyranny and oppression!
We will smart mouth the modderators all we want!
Storm the Mod Subforum!
WAAAAGH!

I had rather large disagreements with 3 mods once, back in the day!
Boy howdy.

"Stick up" to the mods all you want, just so long as you're justified and you know you're right. End of the day, mods are humans as well. Some people don't "get" my humour and stuff, but whatever. They don't like it, they don't have to like it.

Diversity is key.

It seems too often that no one gets my humor either, just like that before comment. I too often jest about the moderators and a lot of the time it gets taken seriously.

Oh darn. *takes silencer off pistol*

well to much humor is a bad thing.. there are times when to do it... and times when not to do it..... that was a time when you should have NOT said anything humorous... humor online isn't very good.... because it's impossible to convey to other people where it's a joke or you being a jackass and being just plain rude(
see... a simple typing stating as an example for why humor online is bad.. but if you read it sounds more like an insult when nothing was intended. You see where I am getting at? sweatdrop

Here's an Idea. Stop talking about it. If you both think you have something to gain from talking to the other on this misunderstanding any further, then by all means continue it. Somewhere else please.

I will vouche for gundrones.

Somone once said it is hard to fail a leadership test.
The chance is still the chance.
I know now from experience how easy it is to have just one unlucky roll and have your leadership 10 HQ flee from the nightbringer. (It was not a real game. It was a scenario test.)
Thus, a pinning test? Yea you could fail it.
Now try an entire squad of eight gundrones.
Enjoy!

Side note: I imagine a unit below 50% of it's starting strength retains the -1 to morale on a pinning test as well.

yes it does.. I know... I can agree with your statement.. always the chance to fail... unless you are immune to pinning/moral... like greyknights.. or.. hmm... any other races have immune to pin/moral units?

I excluding imperial guard because you can only have so many comissars... and they can get expensive in smaller games... .. reminds me of my cusion telling me of his one game... his destroyers(4 of them) on the first turn rolled double 6 when it came to moral check and ran off the board... .. tis a shame when those things happen sweatdrop

Yay for gundrones! Those little buggars have saved me quite a few times. wink
Space marines with short range try chasing them, but when you have 18" gun range and you can move up to 12" a turn, there isn't much you can do besides try your best to kill them, because you are eventually going to die unless you draw a lot of your fire towards them. Although, if the fire goes towards them, the rest of the army has a free reign of fire throughout the table. Some other units may be engaged in battle, but when more and more units focus on an immidiate threat the just dropped behind their lines and is killing their men, then it relieves the threat from more and more of your units, allowing you an even greater advantage over your opponents. Keep in mind that this is mainly for any type of space marine army including Chaos.
It works most of the time for me, but it is also in 1000 point games. sweatdrop

I often find gundrones to be quite the saver as well.. special vehical attached drones. They may have fewer numbers but spread out the 2 drone squads can take quite a bit of fire away from your army for about 1-2 turns depending on how lucky you get.. another good tactic is to take a group of drones fire at a squad and then assualt it... sure they weak like tau but they have I4... and thats a fairly good combat speed, faster then guardsmen and to tie up a squad of guardsmen or some heavy weapon teams could easily save you for a while.. gotta love 4+ save

no wonder I hate storm troopers... man those things anoy me... deep strike, infiltrate... EVEN 4+ save..never dis a guardsmem with a 4+ save.. they deadly gonk

Does a disembarked gun drone squad count as its own two-drone squad or is it/does it join other gun drones?

Actually, i'm not sure, but I think that it is a matter of choice. confused

Normally they are 6-10 drone teams.
I might have an interchangeable force that will combine with firewarriors or crisis suits.
