Mat who cares what it resembles. I wants one, and rumor of a possible vanquiser upgrade. That what I play guard for I think it'd look rather neat to have one vanquisher cannon and one normal battle cannon. 3nodding

Back from the crusades, I am. I've learned a few things in our short time apart, IG Thread.
*I should not be allowed to ever play Drop Troops. I have the worst luck for reserve rolls known to man. With nine units, I dropped two on turn two, two on three, two on four, and three on five. If they had landed more in force, they would have been nasty. As it was, twenty IG Troopers are easy bait for Necrons.
*Plasma weapons make me smile.
*Infantry is the way to go for me, and lots of it. Massed Lasguns are nice.

Im thinking about taking my what I have in drop troops and mounting them in chimeras for a full blow mechaninzed army. With my 5+ infantry squads not counting their command units I beleive it would make for and impressive sight. Plus I plan on expaning my Armoured company with some vehicles for looks if not for anthing else I want at least two vanquishers and one destroyer tank hunter. Im also considering a salamander or two just because I want one

Sounds alright, though it would help if I had a better idea of your army list. I hear Armor heavy forces do alright.

He doesn't necessarily have to go forgeworld, you could go steel legion with conversions. I know people who have loads of those old models lying around.

Azimaith He doesn't necessarily have to go forgeworld, you could go steel legion with conversions. I know people who have loads of those old models lying around. Even that's going to be pricey, as they aren't available from GW anymore, and they're highly sought after for that very reason. Which means he'll be handing over an arm and a leg over eBay or Bartertown. imperial1989 A.R.G.U.S Mykal imperial1989 im planning on starting a death corp army any advice?

-Mykal if that was a joke I think Im a little to thick to get it... That you'll need to take out a loan with your home as collateral in order to afford enough troops for a DKoK army from Forge World. Just for reference, I thought I'd calculate the cost. 400 points of DKoK, 1 HQ Command Squad and 2 Troops Infantry Platoons will cost you US$394.72 from Forge World at today's exchange rate. That's BARE MINIMUM. Also, holy s**t, you're from Papillion, NE. I'm from Omaha, though obviously I'm not there now. razz

That's BARE MINIMUM. Hey, that's a dollar for every point, not too bad. xp Anyway, that doesn't include the money for the glue, the primer, the paint, the brushes, or anything else that you'd need to buy. That's why instead of having a second platoon at first, I'm just going to field some Grenadiers as a second troop choice. Oh! Would any of you know what would make a good proxy Senior command Squad untill they release them? Think anyone would mind my army being led by some Space Marines? xd

Oh, it's worth noting that the dollar took an unprecedented plunge the day before I quoted those figures, so currently Americans buying ANYTHING from Forge World is a Grade A Bad Idea. I thought they looked a little funny.
