Ashram_VII You're quite right when you say that, sybrid...the Box set for NGE has been over $100 for as long as I can remember. (will have GitS : SAC in its entirety when he returns to college mrgreen ) Just make sure the last few episodes are comprehensible. The plot is really important in that show, and if the fansubbers are translating it into crazy moon language, you'll basically miss out on everything that's going on, which for a show about details, intrigue, etc is basically death. Thankfully the translation company is doing a good job (not that there are many companies that do bad jobs these days...)

Awe, pfft Sybrid's right, Azu is great. But that's if you like random funness.
And I dunno why, but I hate Azu's dub, I heard it on the ad for it and Yukari's voice made me want to cry. The Japanese one makes me happy, she sqwauks like a chicken.

Noir is definately an anime to watch and smile with glee towards. I haven't seen all of it...but what I did see...greatness...
And random funniness is pure rapture for me...Excel Saga still ranks as one of my all time favorite animes.

Sir Langley Chloe scares me. I dont like her.... she just ... irks me... Spoilers in white. I dunno, I thought she (and Kirika) were hilarious in the second to last episode, where she's all like "Hey, Kirika, I've had a crush on you for a long time, so let's be lesbians," and Kirika's response was basically "This is not disagreeable to me." And then they make out naked in a lake. I sort of had suspicions about Chloe, but I thought Kirika's reaction was just funny. So yeah. I think Yuri'll end up liking Chloe. She didn't actually irk me much, although most of the time she wasn't the most interesting character. Altena was the only character who irked me, and it was mostly because by the end of the series, I still wasn't sure what the ******** her plan was or if she even had a plan and wasn't just making s**t up as she went.

*Stares* Last time tonight I highlighted a spoiler thing, I found out one of my fave guy characters was a woman, which made me unhappy. gonk *is scared to highlight* I think I shall just wait.
But my yuri senses are tingling.... and the overload of Chloe x Kirika doujinshi things make me think too gonk

Oh man, ya. Altena AND Chloe. It was all "Come hither, my dearest Chloe, and be my estranged lovechild. Go forth, and retreive a gift from your soul mate!"
She had NO plan by the end, NONE. That series confused me more than Eva did.
I was sad by the lack of worldly destruction, and Altena's lack of anything close to sanity. neutral
Mireille was pretty much the only "sane" one there, in my retarded opinion at least. She was a well developed character... kinda, went thru the symptoms of everything and came out okay in the end.
Kirika was busy being sad about not being able to be sad.
Chloe was parading around in a cape with forks and knives.
Altena was taking hits of ******** knows what in the back of the vineyard. And
Mireille was sitting in cafes and spending her paychecks at Gucci....
Something is not adding up here.
One of these things is not like the others things, not like the other things, not like the other things. biggrin
