Arillena managed a tiny giggle as they spoke, their excitement was catching. She felt the fuzziness in her head start to fade away with each word. "Cryptmas." Ari repeated with a nod, she mentally connected it to the Human Parallel. She almost forgot it was nearing that time of year. "A Time for Family...right." The Fae hadn't known anything close to family in several decades. She hid the melancholy in her eyes with a bright smile which only brightened as Harry hugged her out of no where. The Elfish girl found her self laughing and feeling much better than she had when she woke up that morning. "Great one?" She giggled. "Hehe, Groovy Greetings~" She sang after the other Fae before he disappeared. Ari turned back to Draconia and grinned. "Yep~ I can't wait to get started."

"Whew!"
Gil turned to glance at the desk to his immediate right in Drama and saw someone he was not expecting and reacted accordingly.
"Ah!"
"AH!" Shadeaux (Shad to his bluddies) jumped almost out of his seat and clutched the place on his chest where his heart would be -- you know, if Sackmen had hearts. He breathed deeply and glared at Gil. "What trip are you on, werecat!?"
Gil himself was taking deep breaths from being startled and said, "I didn't see you there, Shad. I didn't even know you were in Drama."
"Goes with the trip, y'dig?" Shad leaned over in his seat to look at the notice board in class while the rest of the boodents were settling in. He then covertly whispered to Gil, "Comes in handy in cases like this. Wasn't exactly aching for a role but you know how the big Sack is. Be in Drama, he says! It'll be cool for you, he says! Help you get over that beef, he says! Like, total squaresville!"
Shad kicked his feet up onto the desk.
"I'm. Just. Fine!"
And promptly the desk tipped over backwards, spilling that "just fine" boo over.

Morning classes flew by - most classes were concentrating on end-of-scaremester work or study guides for next week's final hexams. Soon, all of the student bodies heard the gong that signalled the lunch feariod, and the Creepateria began to fill up with hungry monsters...

Harry had managed to beat everyone to the creeperteria. Goobeldygook distracted the lunch monsters for him while he replaced every napkin in every napkin dispenser with Woestock flyers. Totally cruel idea. After that, he scooped up his lunch and sat at a table with Gibberish and Goobledygook to plan missing deadtention.
"Dude, dudette....I have an idea."
The pair of goblins listened attentively.
"I need someone to pretend to be me! That Hacking-dude didn't seem to realize he punished dogs and goblins as well as students. I think we can pass off a goblin as me!"
Gibberish and Goobledygook looked dubiously at one another.
"Young Master? We need all goblins on deck to help with the fearstival."
"Don't call me that. And there is one name not on that list."
"No, Young Master! You can't think of using him!"
"Yes, I can! Bring Gooker to my doomroom after classes! And don't call me that."

Peggy made her way quickly down the hallway toward the Creepateria, her backpack slung over one shoulder as Heimdal chattered on incessantly about... something. Peggy stopped listening a few minutes ago.
She was thinking about her upcoming date with Dashner. Skiiling on a volcano was Hextreme, but what it if it was TOO Hextreme for Dashner? Peggy loved a good ski trip as much as the next ghoul, but spending the day in the infirmary sounded NOT fun. Definitely not hextreme. Perhaps she could come up with something still fun, just not boring.

"Harry!" Kai waved to his bluddy from across the Creepateria, clutching his brown bag lunch. "Hey, manster! Can I sit with you?" Before Harry could say anything, Kai plopped down with a worried look on his face."I have bad news....I'm not sure I'm going to be able to get the band back together for Woestock. Roswell's off-planet, and he was our lead guitarist! Oh, and also, you and I have deadtention. That's kind of causing a hiccup in everything."

Glen and his closest bluddies, Draconia and Hellene, stood in the L-O-N-G lurch line, readying themselves for whatever the school lurch lady had prepared for their nourishment today. Glen was all eager and smiles, but by unlucky coincidence, both Draconia and Hellene had forgotten their lunch in haste to get to school this mourning.
Hence why they eyed the ... the whatever it was, that the creepateria workers were slopping on the trays, with obvious hesitance.
"So, Glen." Draconia said as she shivered as her diminutive bluddy nodded eagerly for the ghoul behind the counter to pile high an extra helping of something brown and lumpy on his tray. "How are you handling a school day without magic so far?"
"Fine and dandy!" He answered as he licked his lips at the smashed potatoes and gray-vy being poured over it. "I think mom underestimated me and how well I can get by without magic."
The lurch lady pushed his tray forward and he just looked at it ... then at her ... then back at the tray laden with food.
"What's wrong?" Hellene asked. "You know, besides the obvious."
Glen looked at his tray then across the creepateria where their usual table awaited.
"How am I supposed to get this ... there?"

"Nope. Still don't believe it." Atomica insisted as she sat down next to Gryff and Lin in their notorious corner of the Creepateria. "You either imagined that you got a date with the dragon-ghoul, or you're working some sort of angle here."
"It's true, it's true!" Lin insisted. "We're going to the Cracker Scarrel at the Maul, we're going to have traditional woodfire cooked Gremlin food, and IT WILL BE MAGICAL!"
Atomica raised one perfectly anodized eyebrow at Gryff, who managed to smirk while chewing on his gluten-free, non-GMO, trans-fat-free, tropical oils-free, fair trade, imported pita and hummus wrap. Gryff swallowed with great aplomb.
"Well, it just so happens that Atomica and I were planning on going to...what is this place called?"
"The Cracker Scarrel!" Lin squeaked. "We went there for my grimma's birthday!"
"Right. Whatever. It just so happens that Atomica and I were planning on going there tonight for a cup of coffee."
"We were?" Atomica queried, checking her internal calendar. "I don't have any record of-"
"OF COURSE we were." Gryff cut her off. Atomica shrugged. If Gryff said that was the case, that was the case. "So I'm sure we'll see you and golden ghoul there."
"Well, I was really hoping it'd be one-on-one, you know." Lin replied, stirring his bowl full of...something. "Intimate...romantic...Just her and I and a skillet of gremlin grits..."
Lin trailed off, possibly indulging in one of his daydream fantasies. Atomica looked at Gryff. Gryff smirked and took another bite of his hummus pita.
"Does the Cracker Scarrel even serve coffee?"
"Please. Like I'd actually drink anything they'd serve there."

"Oh hey, there's Glen! He's our drummer!" Kai hexclaimed to Harry. He stood up and waved at the diminutive witch. "GLEN! OVER HERE!" Glen looked down at his food tray, then at Draconia and Hellene, and then back at Kai. A look of near-horror seemed to cross his face, as if he'd suddenly come to the realization that he'd have to carry...with his HANDS...his own tray to wherever he wanted to go without the assistance of magic to make it float beside him.
Kai, however, not being aware of Glen's newly un-magical grounded state, simply saw a look of sheer hexcitement crossing Glen's face, no doubt because he knew that the BAND was getting back together. Kai stood up and made his way over to Glen."Sorry, Drake, sorry Hellene, but Glen and I have something super important to discuss. Is it okay if I borrow him for lunch?" Draconia shrugged and Hellene nodded, so Kai picked up Glen's tray (Aha! So THAT was the solution!) and scooted Harry over so Glen could join them at the table."This is perfect!" Kai clapped his claws together. "Glen can use one of his magical spells to get us out of Deadtention on Saturday! And then we can GET THE BAND BACK TOGETHER!" Somewhere, on his way to the creepateria, Nero felt an ominous, horrifying chill go up his spine."Now, we just need to get a substitute guitarist, and our resident keytarist. Either of you seen Dashner today?"

"Abababab...." Glen immediately started to babble rapidly, sounding very much like his Auntie Clara when she got nervous or caught off guard. His cheeks started glowing like a Cryptmas light. He fidgeted, almost flinging his pool of congealed gravy covered whateveritwas with his fork. Oh this wasn't going to go over very well!"W-w-w-well you see Kai, there's a slight p-p-p-problem with that plan.""What? Why?" Kai asked, his tail starting to rattle. "You didn't lose your drum set, did you?" Harry leaned over in his seat to whisper to Kai, despite the obvious fact that Glen was right there and could hear what he was saying, "How could he lose a drum set?" "He lost my dad's laboratory once." Kai whispered back."Boo, you open up one little black hole and never hear the end of it." Glen murmured. Kai asked, "So you didn't lose your drum set?" "No. No, I still got it. Mom put it away for safe keeping." Glen answered as he stuck his fork into his smashed potatoes and is spoon into his Salsburied steak. He glanced up with a slight frown. "Not exactly sure where she put it, but I'm sure she'll remember since it's for a good cause of GETTING THE BAND BACK TOGETHER."Nero, having just about set foot inside of the creepateria, paused and shuddered involuntarily.
But back inside of the creepateria, Glen sighed audibly and practically dropped his spoon into the gravy and it started to slowly sink as if being eaten away ... food eating silverware? That's a switch!
Glen said, "But you see, I might not be able to use magic to get you guys out of deadtention.""What? How come?" Kai exclaimed."Wellllll..... my mom kinda sorta grounded me from using magic until after the howlidays for that whole grossly hexagerated incident down in the catacombs."Glen plopped his elbow down (into his smashed potatoes) and smooshed his cheek into the palm of his hand."Parents take everything way too seriously. Just cause a guy almost causes the downfall of his school...."

With Glen sitting next to Harry and Kai, Draconia and Hellene were left to their own devices. They chose some seats near the Creepateria door and sat down to eat."So, tell me about the play." Hellene prompted Draconia after they'd settled. "Has Heath set fire to the scenery yet?""Yes, but luckily it was only a corner. We have Shad on fire extinguisher duty and he's doing a fangTAStic job making sure Heath doesn't bring the house down literally.""How about the leading manster and lady?" Hellene asked. "Think they're going to work out?" "I believe so, yes. Gil seemed nervous, but it was the first read-through after all. And Arillena...well, her clawdition was simply smashing. She seems so quiet and a bit jumpy in person, but when she got up on the stage to clawdition, it was a bit as if she was an entirely different ghoul!""Which IS the point of acting, after all." Hellene added in. "So, anyway....When will you be doing dress re-hearse-al? I can come by and take pictures for the Gory Gazette."

The Changling walked towards the Creepateria with a slight skip in her step. Rehearsal had gone well in her opinion~ She was able to properly meet her other classmates who all seemed really nice~ Well... most of them. The Cat-like girl, Toralei wouldn't stop giving her this glare- of course she was cast as the lead Villaness so maybe she was simply staying in character, heh heh... Arillena pushed open the doors and looked around. Yesterday she sat with Draconia and Rory- The fuzziness in her head momentarily reappeared as she recalled- or rather could not recall- speaking to her reflective friend last. Noticing a group of her new friends she put on a small smile and approached them, silently hoping he was okay. Glen had invited her to sit with them earlier that morning, as she approached - holding on to her lunch box - (Having not been able to eat her cake last time because it had been taken and smashed into someones face...she was determined to eat it this time.) She noticed a few of her friends seemed down, namely Kai and Glen. "Is everything okay?" She asked tilting her head. "Also... can anyone recall seeing my little shapshifting friend?" She added timidly, not wanting to give them another reason to be fretting, but she was getting really worried.

"Pardon me ladies..." Draconia and Hellene both looked around but didn't see anybluddy that had spoken. At least not until they looked 'down' and saw that familiar white frock of spiked hair sticking up above the edge of their table."Oh! Hello Lin!" Draconia smiled. "What can we do for you?""Well, as we are all set for a goremantic evening out tonight, I thought perhaps we could have ourselves a little mingling of friends." Lin smiled that charming freaky watermelon grin of his and posed against the edge of the table.
He slipped, but caught himself and tried to regain his pose, all the while acting all suave and deboscaire."Would you and your friend care to join me at the cool kids table for lunch?"For some reason, across the creepateria in their corner, Gryff himself felt a cold chill go up his spine.

Dashner dashed (hehe) to catch up with Peggy. He smiled, talking over the jabbering little thing in her backpack."Heeeey Peggy! I was looking forward to our ski trip. However, a bluddy of mine got us tickets to a totally rad concert! Want to do that instead?"

Hellene blinked rapidly, a dozen times, staring at the little gremlin. She was finally at a loss for words. In her mind she was running through all the possibilities of what this terrible trio could be up to, inviting them to their table. Gryff would no doubt be surly and cryptic but if she massaged his ego just right, maybe she could learn just where exactly he was getting his hair cut and possibly work out of Atomica who was providing her jelly-jewelry." Well I don't suppose since we haven't got anyone else to sit with at the moment, why not..." She glanced at Draconia, hoping for one of those psychic cues beast friends gave one another, but then her brain tripped." What?! Goremantic evening?" Hellene sputtered.
Draconia flushed bronze.
