I had a cat who we called Maria who did that. Though the one I have now is a baby and an indoor cat.

I have two cats at my dad's and one at my mum's.
The cat at my mum's is a Seal Point Birman. She's fat and can catch a bird about once every two years. She can't catch rats, though =/ She plays tag with them.
At my dad's, we have two Tonkinese, one is the runt of the litter. She's the killer. The boy, the older one, can't catch anything at all. Too fat D:

I think the cat I have now is heading into being a fat cat. She's always hungry.
