"Which is equally good," Earendil grinned.

"Yes," Haradhel agreed. "I know you were eager to have her want something other than Earendil to make it easier for you to go home."

"Though waking up in the morning, I'm not sure if the doll will help," Earendil murmured, worried.

"You mean, Miyuki's need to wake you up in the morning?" Lin asked.

She actually wondered about that a bit herself. Though as much as it embarrassed her to admit it, it sounded like something a child would do to a parent, though Miyuki had never tried to wake her up.

Earendil nodded. "Remember when we were up on the mountain, and I commented how perhaps the doll will keep her from waking me up in the mornings, and you said it wasn't likely?" he asked. He shrugged. "If she still has that inclination, even with the doll, then you're going to be in for some interesting mornings when you go home."

"I'm hoping a proper introduction to the family will keep her busy," Lin admitted, "Three days is not enough time to introduce her to everyone especially when there was a trip to be had."

And she had avoided her grandmother.

"I should visit grandfather Daemon," she added.

She really, really wanted to avoid her grandmother, her a single mother? Pish, it didn't matter she had many other siblings who did that before her, Mi would be scandalized.

Or just make it a very, very good excuse to try and find her a good husband. Lin had a temper and she knew it, she'd probably glower at them all.

"But he's in the Southland," Earendil pointed out. "And you have to head home. Unless you mean on a subsequent visit."

Not that he would mind ... if she wanted him to go with her, that was. He wasn't exactly sure what was going to happen between them. He knew what he wanted, but he was equally sure it wasn't what Lin wanted.

"On a different visit I should," Lin amended with a smile, "First I have to deal with home. I didn't really get to see Elnara and Lore, and it had been a really a quick notice to say I have a child now."

At least almost everyone lived on clan grounds, so it shouldn't be that hard to talk to everyone.

"And I owe Kaito a sushi dinner since he was right..."

"Right?" Haradhel questioned as the others finished up their meals and began to stack the dishes.

"About her being a kitsune," Earendil explained with a smile.

"And just what is that?" Haradhel asked, smiling and leaning her on her hand.

Lin eyed Miyuki's tails, she had been told once that the more tails a kitsune had the more powerful they were. She didn't see anything different about Miyuki besides physically that is. At least, nothing magical beyond growing had happened.

"Fox like people who can have up to nine tails and are very magical. They're most well known for shapeshifting and illusions."

Which made them sort of trickster like, but as far as she knew Miyuki was more or less well behaved. If one didn't count her once vindictive act. Unless it included waking Earendil.

"Sounds like fun," Haradhel laughed. "But difficult, I must admit. Keeping tabs on her will be a challenge, I'm sure."

"Do you have any idea when she will learn to do those things?" Leyenda asked curiously, leaning forward over the table to peer at Lin. "Or does she have to be taught?"
PostPosted: Fri Apr 16, 2010 10:06 pm

"Truthfully... I have no idea. No one has raised a kitsune before."

Unlike a Second where there had to have been at least half a dozen before she came around, at least Lin was pretty sure of this.

Miyuki on her part looked up from her doll and smiled the most innocent smile Lin had ever seen. For some reason that worried her even though Miyuki was technically, physically three. It couldn't be that bad yet.

Haradhel laughed. "Well, if you need anything, we'll all be here for you. Anything you need."

"Right," Leyenda grinned. "After all, what are friends for?" She giggled. "Though I can't guarantee that we'll be here here. Kelirahc and I were thinking of continuing traveling once stirring arrives again."

"Any ideas of where you'll be going?" Lin asked.

She was curious, even though she was sure that by the time she got back here they would probably be done their traveling knowing how things went with her.

"Well, the only place we haven't seen at all yet that belongs to the elves is the Westland, so we were thinking of a visit there," Leyenda explained. "And then of course there's exploring the smaller areas ... the plantation where Uncle Gion and Aunt Nadya live, small towns in the Westland, the Northland, the human part of the Southland, provided that we're not at war with them ..."

Though she would be very careful with Amalirahc there. If he disappeared, there was a very good chance that the human villages might as well.

Lin looked thoughtful, it would be nice to see the Human Southland, even though she couldn't pass for human anymore.

Well she could, but like her mother she hated pulling her wings in.

"Earendil, where you do want to go on the next trip?"

Earendil was surprised at her question. "Well," he said cautiously, "didn't you already say that you wanted to visit your grandfather at the plantation?"

To be honest, there were some places that he wanted to see, sure; but he had no idea how long Lin would stay the next time, and he wanted to be sure that she would get to go where she wanted to.
