"naw! so you were a lil reckless, thats good! common trust me after this lil adventure is over you'll reflect on it a lot and it'll be pretty neat for you. you will have grown a lot form this," he smiled think of his first few real adventures.... course he had almost died a few times an wasnt sure why he was still alive, but hey he was and he didnt see any point in complaining.

Recklessness is not becoming. I shall never find a husband if I am not calm and orderly. She let go of Sk almost reluctantly. The movement had hurt her hip slightly but she didn't show it. I shall be a spinster. Zahar's eyes were wide and she tilted her head as if she were trying to picture the future like that.

he laughed, " why worry about that now. be you you are young lass. the world is in your hands an you jsut have to grasp it. damn husbands anyway," he laughed, "you are your own, i cant see settling like that. i could see it if a lady would travel the lands with me and see the wonders of all the realms in the megaverse. then and only then could i consider something like marrige.... mind you im a freak so yeah. that wont happen," he laughed again, "an i love every second of my freakisness."

I... Well I hardly think that you are a freak. Zahar takes a deep breath. You have to remember that this... thoughts of sutors, and other courtly affairs used to be one of my main priorities. I was even to be married a short while after the time I cursed us all. She started to fiddle with her hair, her second nervous habit. I do not live as long as you, or at least we did not before the cursing. I do not know what will happen now. I wish I would be alive when you find your lady, though, I doubt that will happen. Or that after all those travels that you would remember one yellow girl that always wears a mask.

Zahar shivered at the use of the title. Choosing to mostly ignore it she signed back to him, I do not want to go to the planes that I have heard you speak of. Surely I would die of fright if not by some monsters attack. Pausing for a moment she looked at her hands. I could not fight and win against the ROUS, or the Rade, or even you if you were taking it easy on me. I just have not the knowledge or the strength.

"gonna be teaching you, remember?" he chcuckled, "you'd be fine with training. but i understand and dont intend on taking you anywhere unless we can identify the portal and you wanna go there as well," he gave a small pat on her hip again, "you'll be able to handle yourself well enough though."

Yes I will train, but at this moment in time I am very much the.. sitting duck. Zahar reached into herself gauging how much strength she has for her light. I believe that I am ready now. Shall I start to raise my light slowly? She looked around at the darkness hoping inwardly that it would soon be light again.

he closed his eyes shifting the infravision off and reopenened them, "i am ready lass. Ark is sleeping peacfully and probably won't even notice," he smiled and thought of the way its eyes reminded him of the stray cat that had fallowed him for a year had. Mavrick he named it. eventually he had hopped one to many planes and mavrick had just left it at that and dissapeared the day before he left again, "when ever you are ready."

Zahar nodded and reched for his hand giving it a light squeeze before closing her eyes. Slowly she started to glow bringing it up enough that it was about 3/4 of her full strength. That was still enough to see most of the room clearly. She let go of his hand and opened her eyes. Ah so much better I say. Looking him square in the eyes this time she smile comfortably. I hope that did not hurt any. I would hate to cause ou pain for my emotional comfort.

he laughed, "pain is sometihng im used to and no there was no pain," he glanced to ark who was laying on his back like a cat its pahel in front of it. head lolling ot one side paying no attention to the light that had grown near it. he smiled. jsut like that damn cat. should just call him mavrick...
"apon seeing him in the light. im gonna call him mavrick after an old cat that fallowed me around for a while."

Zahar slowly turned her head to look at the large rodent. I didn't seem dangerous now. All right, but I still am not sure if I trust the animal, not matter hwo it is laying about. Would it be all right if I asked you a favour? She paused after saying this stretching and looking back to SK.

he smiled, "hes cute kinda. and whats the favor?" he blinked and wondered what she would ask. he wondered what she would ask of him. he glanced at mavrick, the huge rat was really actually quite neat a hazel color with a large white spot on its belly. its claws were quite large and he could see why she might have been frightened.

Stay between me and the ROUS? I am quite uncomfortable. I have the image of these killing ingrained in me and.. it will take a bit before I feel at ease. She tried to stand slowly. Sleepiness shifting out of her, and restlessness setting in. I am not asking you to harm it or send it away, just help me keep my distance or something along those lines.

he smiled, "sure thing," and then walked over to ark and gently scratched its belly. its lower leg twitched in pleasure and began to strech out before it rolled to its feet and stood on it shindlegs beside him and he scratched behind its ear. it cocked its head and lookes to Zahar and then back at him and nuzzled he hand a lottle bit, "cute like a cat this one is."
