Rebecca, tell him how great it is to be homeschooled! xd I wish I were unschooled though. I'd learn much more that way. I'd most likely be able to speak Japanese better. crying
Wait...Rebecca's not on... xp

Well, yeah, I'd know tons more about everything if I was unschooled. Think of all the learning I could get done...
Well, by the looks of things, the only ones in the guild are us. It seems to be that way kind of a lot.

What are you talking about? o.O
My dad and grandparents used to force me into square dancing. I hated it. So...hokey.
Otherwise, homeschooling's awesome, though.

You're on!
The dancing is optional here. It's mostly a way for us to make friends. One way I've been trying to tackle the shyness I just told you about since it's too easy to talk to kids younger than me and they're the only ones around here! gonk

Square dancing bad. Thats all there is too it.
Well, I guess if you were in a public school around people, you might not be quite as reserved. not that being shy is a bad thing.

I went to public school for seven years. It didn't help much. I was actually more shy then than I am now.
Line dancing and square dancing are awesome. I wanted to square dance ever since I saw BBC's Pride and Prejudice series.

My GRANDMA is bad. I can't stand the woman. I wouldn't have hated it so much if she hadn't been involved in it, but she was the culprit for that whole mess.
Being homeschooled really doesn't have -anything- to do with introversion or extroversion if done right. There are all sorts of social activities that homeschoolers can and do participate in; saying that school is the only way of getting social interaction is flat-out wrong. I am extremely shy myself, but I do not attribute this to my having been homeschooled. Actually, I'm a high-functioning autistic, which I can imagine explains a lot. xp It almost seems to me like public-schooled kids are considerably less likely to interact with people outside of their particular societal groups than most homeschoolers; the vast majority of homeschooled kids that I've met have been more willing and more able to interact with adults than their public-schooled peers.

I never said that public school was the only way of social interaction. I for one have been public schooled all my life (thank god its over), and I was completely anti-social. In fact, all of my social interaction takes place with people that have nothing to do with school at all. I am basically only able to interact with adults, or people of like mind of me. Otherwhise, I can't stand them. So, I kinda kill all that stuff you said. (for my case, I'm not generalizing everyone thats in public school)

And I didn't say that you'd said that, but you did say something about if she were around people she might not be so reserved, and it hinted at a view of homeschooling that I find particularly obnoxious. xp

Studies show that homeschooled kids are normally smarter than privately schooled kids who are usually smarter than publicly schooled kids. Also, studies show that homeschooled kids are usually more friendly/social as well as more polite than most others kids.
I sound like some kind of commercial don't I? xd I like my science books. whee

I don't mean to generalize, but that is sort of what my logic lead me to. I wouldn't doubt that homeschooled kinds might get smarter, because its just them and maybe a sibling being taught, one on one. In public school, with a 40 to 1 ratio, students won't learn as much.
