Alice looked at the dynamic duo on the motorbike, as Jun beckoned her to the side car she slid off her bike. "Alright, we're going as a trio anyway!" She hopped in the side car and gave a yelp, "oh!" her dress had poofed up over her face as she flopped in. Her petticoat underneath billowed out like a cloud. In the embarrassment she did her best pushing and smashing it back down into the side car, it still poofed over like a pillow. Kadaj took this as an opportunity and leaped onto her cushioned lap and settled into complete comfort. As the bike took off she quickly clutched onto Kadaj and her hat before she could lose it. "OH WOW!" She cried in excitement as she experienced something new and fun.

While driving through the night she felt the cold breeze on her face. She looked at the sky and could see a few constellations. Her mind wondered about stars and then to other completely geeky concepts. Suddenly the bike stopped, "Hey, whats wro-oh! we're here!"

She stroked Kadaj and watched Jun pull and tug on the door of the PokeCenter. That's funny, I thought PokeCenters were open 24/7. Maybe it's just our PokeCenter.... that's very strange. Seeing as the place was locked, she didn't want Aidan to sleep outside. She tugged on his sleeve, "Oh please don't sleep out side. It's cold and there could be icky bugs on the ground. I remember this one story of a kid getting a nasty pincher bug in his ear EWW! It was so gross!" She went on flailing her hands in disgust.

"Dragonite! Dodge it!" he commanded. The mythical beast swerved out of the way just in the nick of time, the beam hitting his antennae. He shivered - it was cold! As Giovanni rose his fist into the air to execute another command, he stopped. He looked down at the ground to see that the briefcase, the whole basis of this mission, was laying in the sand wide open. There was nothing inside but papers and folders. His eyes widened and his pupils shrank, along with his heart. "...E-empty...?" he whispered, lowering his fist.

"N-no..." his body shook with rage, "It...they're bluffing...!" He's never lost his composure before...not like this. "This...is an OUTRAGE!" he roared, screaming out into the sky. Everything immediately fell silent - even the battles involving his Rockets stopped. His Grunts all turned their eyes to him. "I've wasted my time attempting to collect something that's completely empty!?" He slammed his fist on the railing, clenching so tightly that his palm began to bleed. Not to mention that Rowan's got a bunch of punks protecting him, and going after him could possibly hurt him. I would need the professor in prime condition...! "You spoiled BRATS! How dare you do this to me! I demand this farce be corrected!" Giovanni's entire body shook, and then stopped, like someone had flipped a switch. "Fine..." he said, sighing softly.

"You think just because the item I came here for, the information I've battled so hard for, is nonexistent..." he smirked, "that I've lost?" He glared at Mike and Kilik, "Not quite. I think it's time that the world is filled in on your 'Heroes' deepest secrets! Aren't there things about them that you've been dying to know?" The same maniacal look appeared on his face, "Things that they wouldn't dare tell you! Things that, until now...have remained in the confines of their minds, trying so hard to keep it shut out? Well, children, I know these secrets...yes, and once you know, you won't view your heroes won't quite the same ever again!"

Kilik's eyes widened. Wait... he turned to look at Mike, What's his secret? Only a few others know about mine, but I...I didn't think that Mike had anything to hide. He always seemed so...nonchalant. "K-keep your mouth shut, Giovanni...!" he growled, "Or so help me..." Scizor looked over her shoulder at her trainer. What in the world was that man talking about? Her Master had done nothing wrong, nothing questionable since she met him. Or...or was it before then? Before she entered this easy life?

"Hahaha!" Giovanni recalled all three of his Pokemon, the battle was over. "Or so help you? Kilik, I don't believe you're in any place to call the shots! You don't understand the situation you're in, do you!?" He placed his hands behind his back and calmly closed his eyes. "I think you know exactly what I'm about to tell everyone and that scares you. And you're helpless to stop me! Both of you!" His eyes shot open and he pointed at the two boys standing before him.

Kilik fell to his knees, staring up at Giovanni. He was right. He lost. They all did. All their efforts went for nothing. He slammed his fists into the sand. Dammit, dammit dammit!! he closed his eyes tightly.

Sapphire howled in pain at the Arm Thrust connected onto the left flank of his body. Goddamn those fighting type attack! They hurt like a@^%! He cursed on his breath as he landed on his four paws, the front right buckling under his own weight slightly. He did wan't to admit it, but the battle was taking out a good chuck of his stamina. Well, might as well go for an all or nothing attack. If he were to be hit again he knew it'd be his last. The blue Houndoom leaped a few paces back charging his flashiest attack.

The Pokemon, however, wasn't as speedy as a Grass type when it came to Solar Beam, so a Grunt decided it was best to bag the shiny Pokemon while he could. Literally. The man clad in black ran over to Sapphire, bag in hand and a grin plastered to his face. Perhaps h could get away with something today after all! And his boss wouldn't totall crush him for being a failure!

Or not. Diego to the rescue! With another rendition of Crunch, this time as a huge set of chattering wind-up teeth with razor sharp pointed ends, munched on the poor lowly Grunt, as he mad a made dash away from the crazy artist. With Diego's aid Saphhire managed to unleash the attack, sliding back a few inches from the kickback. Janice's Hariyama could only turn around and try to waddle away as the attack connected causing him to collapse face first, accompanied with a loud, "boom!" and dust. Now that was how it'd done.

Cable just about moved, but he froze in spot. He watched as the Hitmonchan faltered on spot and keeled over, as if someone had blown him over. "What the...?" he blinked and looked across to see Napalm holding his hands out. "Way to go!" he laughed, running over to him. The plug ran so fast that he seemed to just materialize right next to him. "Man, we're pretty awesome," he glanced over at Pupitar, smiling, "And thanks for your help too, Pooptar. We couldn't have survived it without ya."

He lifted Napalm up onto his shoulder, attempting to help his partner walk back towards their trainers. His legs were weak now, but he still had a lot more energy left in him than the Magby. We took quite a beating, but Napalm's the star of the day, as much as I hate to admit it. Good job, ya jerk. Cable looked over at him. When he directed his attention forward again, he noticed Kilik on the ground, kneeling. "Kilik?" he blinked. What was going on?

From the looks of it they had quite a crowd to fight through to get to their destination; while some would find that daunting, Kirsa was as pleased as a small child in a candy store. While the friends and acquaintances she had met today may have been much better at battling Pokemon than her, this? This right here? This is what she was good at.

When the Rocket grabbed Sasha's arm Kirsa was making a move to step in, except that she suddenly found that her arm too had been grabbed. Unlike Sasha, Kirsa was a bit too short to properly slap the leering fellow that had a hold of her, but not that it really mattered. The cadet just slammed the palm of her free hand into the Grunt's elbow, resulting in a sickening snapping sound and the pain-filled screams of her would-be assailant. Needless to say the Rocket released her in favor of clutching his ruined arm and generally freaking out, leaving Kirsa free to rejoin her friend in their charge. While she approved of Sasha's gusto and enthusiasm about all this, the smaller girl couldn't help but wish she would...be a little more quiet about it. It's kind of hard to ambush people when you're giving a war cry.

"....My name isn't Jane." Of course the fact that the Rocket grunt had merely been poking fun at her went right over her head. "It's Kirsa Markus, daughter of Herr Major Johan Mark-" Even Kirsa fell silent upon hearing Giovanni's roar of anger, glancing up at him for just a moment. All the Rockets were distracted...rather than waste time standing around listening to whatever he was going on about, Kirsa wanted to use this time in their favor. In a swift movement the two Rockets she and Sasha had been menacing were both crumpled in a heap after a pinch to the pressure points in their shoulders. The way up to the stage, and their friends, was clear.

Eraku continued to walk down the street until he came to a large building that bordered a vast field with trees scattered throughout.
"I think I found the Safari Zone and wow. That about all I can say about it." He said to himself and opened the door the entrance building. He looked about and see saw several people sitting around talking. There were signs about tours and big posters of pokemon all over the place. He walked up to a desk and asked the lady behind it "uhh is this where I can get into the park?"

The lady smliled and said " You bet! Just gotta go over a few things and you'll be all set to go. First off you can't bring any pokemon into the park with you. Its for the safety of the wild pokemon and for you as well. Also you will be given a case of special pokeballs used here called safari balls. Along with these you get some bait to lure some pokemon in closer to catch. Also we give you a timer, when it goes off its time to come back or when your out of Safari balls. You got all that?" The woman had spoken so fast she had Eraku's eyes spinning in circles.

"Uhh sure I think I got all that. Are the pokemon in there dangerous?" He asked because aftr seeing that Tauros he didn't want to chance anything.

"They are in their wild habitat so they will be aggressive but we have rangers patrol the park to ensure safey of everyone."

"Ok well then I guess I'm good to go then." he said waiting eagerly to get started.

"Ok then well here you go here are your Safari balls and some bait. Have fun and good hunting." She handed a small box filled several cameo colored poke balls and a small bag containing what looked like small brown cubes.

Eraku took the stuff and placed them in his bag and walked through the gate not exactly sure what to see on the other side.

Jaeshan smiled up at the Togekiss, at first a little afraid to pet it, but it nodded at him and he gently stroked its soft feathers. "Just wanted to make sure you were all right," he said, looking from the Togekiss back to Robin again. It was about this time that he noticed a large, green dragon swoop down and land somewhere nearby, a woman clad in black serving as its rider. They didn't stay long though, and Jaeshan watched as she and the Pokemon flew off. "What was that all about?" he murmured, before realizing that there was someone lying on the ground, with a Golem in the vicinity. As much as he didn't want to leave Robin and the strange, happy Pokemon, something in his gut told him that he should go help and he sighed. "I'm gonna go see if they're all right," he told her, looking up to see where Butterfree was. She'd remained fluttering nearby, avoiding trouble though she didn't hesitate to fire off a Psybeam or something to lend a hand to a trainer in trouble. When she saw her that her trainer was on the move again, she followed him, staying alert in case he were to be attacked.

As Jaeshan neared the scene he picked up the pace when he realized who it was. "Keegan, geez, man! What happened?" he asked, though he approached the last ten feet warily due to the massive Golem standing nearby. He also saw what appeared to be Rowan's briefcase, its contents strewn all over the ground. Dammit, they must have really wanted that thing if they were willing to hurt him like this. He pressed the button on one of his Pokeballs and Combusken appeared at his side, looking a bit shaken up. It seemed she could sense the danger and hostility even from inside her Pokeball. "Combusken, help pick up all this stuff and put it back in here," he told her, gesturing to the case. Combusken nodded, and did as was told, though she didn't really appreciate the small task at all. Jaeshan, meanwhile, inched closer to Keegan, wanting to help but not sure how. "Do you need to go to a hospital or something?"

Flannery's two Pokemon continued to help keep the remaining Rocket grunts at bay, and she still continued to land the occasional elbow or knee or fist, and as the gruesome battle wore on, she found herself to be getting pretty tired. Torkoal and Houndoom were champs though, their flame attacks making short work of would-be attackers, and those that couldn't be taken down by the flames were met by either the vicious fangs of her Houndoom or the fearsome Body Slams from the small, yet powerful Torkoal. When Giovanni's screams of rage filled the area, a deafening silence seemed to fall over everything and Flannery stopped, her knee implanted in a grunt's stomach, wondering what was going on. As the Rocket Boss' shouts rang out through the air she elbowed the man in black and sent him to the ground, signaling for her two Pokemon to follow her as she ran to meet up with Mike, Kasiya and the others.

Oh, what he could accomplish all while being dragged along by a blue grumdrop, Diego thought to himself, rather proud. This fighting business wasn't bad. So long as he didn't get hit by anything, anyways; he wasn't any sort of masochist, after all. Painting was so tiring, though. Both painter and bird returned into their respective Pokeballs for a much-needed rest.

Daemyn, meanwhile, trotted gingerly over to his brother, muted awe in his eyes. How the hell did he do that last attack? Insane. And here he had prided himself on getting stronger, but now that he saw his brother, he knew that the bar had shot off into the horizon again. How unfair of him, Daemyn thought, frowning and breaking eye contact. The canine was entering his sulky state.

"Why didn't you come back? We thought you were dead. I.. thought you were dead," he growled. Before he could endure the comeback that was surely coming to maul his brief moment of mush sentiment, however, he heard a screech to the side, as well as M.A.'s gasp of alarm. The girl very rarely reacted quickly enough to scream, after all.

Janice, wild with fury at her utter failure -- she and her grunts had lost ALL the Pokemon they had stolen -- decided to take our her vengeance. The woman wasn't taller than Mary-Anne, certainly, but she sure had more meat to her than the stretch of skin and bone that she tackled to the ground. She proceeded to claw at the hapless girl for all she was worth. "You ruined everything!" she shrieked, grabbing hold of her hair and proceeding to pound M.A.'s head on the ground. The girl was too bewildered to retaliate or even feel anything besides dizziness, and she thought her head felt oddly warm, but somehow she wasn't too alarmed. Something told her that she should be, however, when Janice pulled out a wicked-looking knife. The woman was rabid. All her chances at promotion -- at a life of wealth and power -- had been screwed over. Carving this girl a new face might make her feel like things were even.

Daemyn's heart, as he did have one, leapt into his throat. If there was a heaven, give him speed. Give him speed. He felt desperate urgency as the knife began to sweep downwards, as if it were in slow motion. Closer, closer still. Damnit, M.A., move! Too close, too close now. Daemyn shut his eyes, not knowing if he'd make it on time.

He was first aware of the rough contact of his headbutting the crazed lady over, then a searing pain across his face. But that didn't matter. Oh god, was she okay? From an oddly red view, he saw M.A. Was that her blood on her face? Oh god, that dazed look -- but she was moving. Attagirl. All was good. The girl wrapped her arms around him, shocked to the point of tears. "Daemyn, Daemyn, are you alright?" she sobbed. "I'm sorry, it was my fault, so sorry."

The Houndoom was puzzled. What did she mean, if he was alright? She was the one who nearly had a bad case of plastic surgery. And he'd never seen her cry before. It was then that he felt the warmth oozing past his muzzle -- oh, so the blood was his. Kinda made sense.

[++] "Mary-Anne!" a voice called, coming closer, more urgent. Daemyn, feeling frenzied, snarled at the intrusive vibration throbbing in his skull. "Mary-Anne, goddamnit, I knew I should have found you first. Are you okay? Can you understand me? s**t, you look a mess. Can you hear me?" the voice continued. Saebum. Despite knowing who it was, Daemyn could not stop the ferocious purr that continued to roll from his throat.

M.A. looked at him incomprehensibly, taking a moment or two before nodding in childish defiance. "I'm fine! Look at Daemyn, look at him, look," she snapped, tears turning into inexplicable fury and impatience.

Saebum leaned down, evaluating the two after warily deciding that the blue Houndoom nearby was friendly. "Damn. Who did this to you?" M.A., white as a ghost with streaks of red; she looked a bit wild and unstable, and goddamnit if she had only been taking her iron pills, he wouldn't have to worry that the blood loss would accentuate her anemia. Daemyn; well, he looked pretty banged up and the cut was a nasty one, but it didn't seem to go deep enough to cause any nerve damage. He could obviously still see, 'cause the Houndoom was staring him down as if he were the enemy. They would both be fine, probably, so long as they got some medical attention soon.

"I didn't stop to ask their name," was the curt reply.

"C'mon, let's go. You two need to be looked over," he said, attempting to lift M.A. up. She wouldn't budge, however, and Daemyn's irrational growling hiked up a pitch.

Before Saebum could insist any further, however, Giovanni's booming voice froze the scene, and all eyes were on him, rimmed with red or not.

Sasha watched as the two Rockets fell in an instant, victims of Kirsa's deadly precision. Sure they were distracted, but even if they had cannons pointed at her Sasha had the funny feeling they would have gone down anyway. What amazed her most was how prepared Kirsa was. It was like she woke up in the morning, had cereal, put on her uniform and said to the morning sun: 'Hello world! Today, I'm gonna break a chair on someone's neck!' I mean, Kirsa was a combatant, trained to respond to crazy situations like this, but still. It almost seemed to convenient. Whatever the reason, Sasha found it strangely calming to watch her new friend fly into a battle-rage and clear the way for them. Hell, she would probably bet money on Kirsa winning a fist-fight against that Machop there. Before she could amuse herself with anymore mental images, Kirsa grabbed her by the wrist and dragged her away, rushing the two to the stage to rendezvous with their friends. Granite followed at a hurried pace, making sure to stop momentarily to back-hand the Machop, allowing the smaller Pokemon to dig a trench with his face.

"Merci." cooed Sasha as Kirsa led her to stage, giving her cute cadet a quick hug, before turning her attention to the stage. They had come in at the end of the Rocket leader's rant, but she caught jist of it, most importantly Mike and Kilik's reaction to it. "What's going on?" she asked Kirsa on reflex. Kilik fell to his knees, looking completely defeated, while Mike was shaking wildly, his eyes locked on Giovanni. "Mike! Kilik!" Sasha called out, running towards them, a worried look on her face.

Eraku walked onto a dirt path that led off into a massive field that seemed to go on forever. As he walked along he noticed how quiet it was compared to being in the city or anywhere else for that matter. "Hmm so this is what its like to really be out in wilderness." He thought as he walked through the tall grass that came up to his waist. Off in the distance he could see a small herd of tauros moving along the plain. "Hmm I don' think I want one of those." He said as he remembered his last encounter with the bull pokemon.

He took out a map he had taken of the area and looked to see where the prime spot might be to find some decent pokemon. He decided on heading towards a small pond that looked to only be a mile or so down the path. He put the map away and continued his walk taking in the sites and sounds. He enjoyed this freedom. The city was way too cramped for him. He remembered how he used to often wander around Cinnabar as a child and the scoldings he would get from his sister and how Blaine would laugh at the whole matter. After about a half hour he saw a ring of trees and saw what appeared to be the edge of a pool of water.

"Alright I'll set up right here and wait for a bit. I've still got a good hour and half before I have to head back." He began to lay out some of the bait and set himself up in a tree where he had a commanding view of the area. After about fifteen minutes he had seen nothing and began to get drowsy. Slowly but surely he dozed off and after another half hour he startled himself awake but unfortunately rolled off the branch he laying right on the back of a fairly large pokemon who happened by.

"Ouch!" He yelled and rolled over quickly and rubbed his back. Behind him he heard what sounded like growling and then a cry "Scyyyyyyyyy" slowly he turned his head to find himself face to face...

Crenu watched as Riza continued her attack, quite impressed with her Sneasel's battel capabilities. Not only that, but she attacked with a level of grace that Crenu thought ideal for the contest circuit. He was going to have to work on that if he was goign to try his hand at coordinating, grace wasn't exactly something his pokemon knew how to do. But the important matter at hand was defeating the Rocket and retrieving the bag of stolen pokeballs, something that Riza appeared to have in mind as well by the way she kept looking at it. The grunt, all of the grunts for that matter, suddenly seemed to shift focus however as the guy that was riding atop the helicoper appeared to be getting ready for an announcement or something. Crenu wasn't sure as he hadn't gotten a good look, but he assumed this to be their leader, that guy that he'd heard also owned a Gym. If there were ever going to be a chance to get the bag back, this was it, Crenu didn't much care for what the guy had to say so his attention remained on task. He probably wouldn't have enough time to get the bag himself, but Riza had a speedy Sneasel and her Ralts was apparently quite adept at Teleporting, so he planned to make an opening for her. "Ariados, shake 'em up with a Night Shade!"

Ariados didn't waste any time, she immediately understood the plan and put it into action. She wasn't sure who this girl fighting with the Sneasel was, but she appeared to be on good terms with her trainer and that made her a little jealous. But that wasn't important now, Ariados slammed her front legs into the ground again and sent another eerie wave of energy at the Pinsir. The poor pokemon was still trying to get the needles out of his face and didn't see it coming, the wave leaped out of the groudn and washed over him lifting him up as it pushed him back. The big Stag Beetle Pokemon crashed into his trainer with the thud, knocking the grunt down flat on his back and causing him to drop the bag full of pokeballs. Ariados hissed triumphantly, there was no way he could forget about her now.

"You did what?!" Whitney exclaimed. "Why in the hell would you go and work for that miserable piece of--" Sabrina raised her hand to silence the other girl. "Shh. Let me explain, okay? You cut me off before I got a chance to continue." After a moment or two when Whitney grew quiet, Sabrina continued. "I actually shouldn't say I was Maorde's understudy, per se, so much as I posed as one. You see, I was gathering information about him for a rather extended period of time; I would monitor the things he would do, the places he would go, the people he'd attack. After ages of painstaking surveillance, and a bit of luck, I was able to find out where he holed up when he wasn't busy making people of the world miserable."

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. You mean to tell me that you know where the hell this guy has been staying? Did you plan on telling me that?" Whitney seemed to be growing rather irritated; Sabrina knew a lot more than she cared to share. The psychic sighed a little bit. "Whitney, I'm telling you now. Don't get your knickers in a twist." Pause. "Anyway. When I was able to locate him, it was fortunate, because there were several people, several girls that he had taken under his wing and they were essentially being trained by him. They were reasonably weak, but there was a potential that Maorde saw in them that led to his desire to train them, to let them learn from him. But, he needed someone strong, a good trainer to assist him... and it was then that I appeared to him."

Riza looked around, somewhat startled as the Rocket Boss' voice reverberated all around them, the fury in his voice causing everyone around, including the Rocket underlings, to freeze in their tracks. 'This is our chance,' Riza thought, looking over at the Rocket. "Sneasel, give him another ice punch!" The Stantler was looking just as stunned as the grunt who was supposed to be commanding him and this gave Sneasel the perfect opportunity to deliver another frosty punch. The distracted Stantler staggered back and fell, and it was recalled just seconds before the Rocket was knocked over by his own Pinsir.

'Here's our chance,' Riza thought, sending out Ralts and pointing at the bag of pokeballs on the ground. "Ralts, teleport! Bring that bag over here!" Ralts gave a little salute before she did as she was told, her small body glowing a bit before she vanished, appearing next to the bag as directed. She stuck her little tongue out at the Rocket before she took hold of the bag and teleported back to Riza's side, doing a little victory dance as she did so.

"All right, way to go, you two!" Riza said, patting Sneasel on the head as she too had come back over to her trainer's side, grinning at her little teammate. Seems she'd underestimated the little one and she was looking forward to see what else Ralts could do. Riza picked up the bag from the ground, wincing a little from the pain in her ankle, but she tried to disregard it. It was probably only twisted a little, because it didn't hurt nearly as much as that time she'd sprained it. "Should we take these to the police or something?" she asked, looking to Crenu, and also hoping that they wouldn't be mistaken for thieves. Possession was nine tenths of the law, or something along those lines.

"Hah, yeah. I guess it was a pretty good gag in hindsight," Kevin said, scratching the back of his head. "Oh, I'm Kevin, and these two are Monsoon and Twinkles," he said, gesturing to his Squirtle and Sableye.

Monsoon gave a friendly wave to accompany his introduction, followed by an enthusiastic "Squir!" Twinkles on the other hand, simply stared at the trainer and her Pokemon. Or maybe he was staring at the space around them, or even a rock. It's hard to tell with this one.

"I'm actually from Ecruteak too, but I've been away for a while. I mostly kept to myself even when I was there. Still, its kind of surprising we've never met before." Kevin shook his head extended his hand, "Anyway, nice to meet you."

Keegan half-mumbled a thanks to Tierra as he slowly pushed himself into a sitting position, making a mental note to buy her a new TM or something later. He'd always wondered if the Golem really liked him or not, and even now he was unsure. A soft thudding could be heard nearby and he looked up at the familiar figure now looming over him. "Oh, it's you," he muttered, his tone of voice indicating that he was about as impressed to see Mai as he would have been had he stepped in something unpleasant on the ground. He wanted to ignore her, and pretend like he wasn't bothered by the things she said, but her words cut into him like a knife, and with the roughed-up state he was in, he couldn't be sure if he was actually bleeding from the verbal or physical assault he'd just suffered. He he would have loved to jump to his feet and introduced her to his fist; the fact that she was a woman be damned. She had it coming, as far as he was concerned, but the thought of standing up was almost as exhausting as actually doing it would have been.

He looked around slowly when he heard someone call his name, seeing a sleeping Artemis conked out on the ground nearby, and Themis sitting beside her, licking his wounds. With a grumble the redhead recalled the duo, looking up at Jaeshan somewhat sheepishly. "Nah, I'm fine. I've been through worse, believe me." Concentrating, he made a move to stand up, though in hindsight it wasn't a very good idea. He nearly fell, reaching out to grab something to hold onto, which turned out to be Tierra. The Golem was looking at her trainer as though to say "Don't worry, I got ya, kid," and Keegan cracked a grin. "Thanks, Ti." Now leaning against the Rock Pokemon for support, he looked to Jaeshan. "You too, thanks," he said, just as Giovanni's voice boomed out over the loudspeakers, almost making him jump in surprise. He glanced towards the Rocket's helicopter, and grit his teeth. Kasiya must be over there, he thought, forcing himself to take a step forward. I can't let her stand up to Giovanni alone, even if I am weak...

"Come on," he said to Jaeshan, starting to walk at a half-decent pace (of course, with Tierra there to make sure he didn't fall flat on his face), towards the center of all the commotion.
