Chubbs watched her fingers twirl and his male brain immediately thought Kim would make some girl really happy. He blushed a bit and cursed himself and chomped on his bread roll.
" It's good ya back and safe yeah, sorry... i'll not talk about it"
He shoved half the roll in his mouth and chewed it up, feeling his appetite now. he smiled as he watched her eat and wondered if any girl on this island wasn't drop dead gorgeous.
" Sorry if I'm staring.. I umm... ya finger, kinda reminds me of an animal I've seen"

"It's okay... I catch myself staring sometimes." She couldn't blame people for it and... strangely couldn't be upset. "It's just so damn wierd."
She blinked a bit when he mentionned it was reminding him of something, and perked a bit. "Really ? I have no idea myself. I can't think of an animal that had super long fingers and looks like it's been smacked in the head a few times."

Chubbs found himself lifting up the bowl of soup to slurp and guzzle and lick the bowl clean, something told him he was hungry. Putting the bowl down he blushed at his actions and wiped his nose of soup with a napkin.
" Yeah umm, I damn can't remember the name of it.. was like... kinda like a monkey or a lemur of sorts?"
Chubbs scratched his head, trying desperately to remember the name.
" It was actually really cool, it had like this lon finger like yours right? andit would climb up a tree trunk. Now it had these big ears that it would fold over like this"
Chubbs demostrated with his hands how the animal would fold its ears towards its face.
" Then it'd use it's long finger and tap along the tree and it'd listen for hollow bits and find grubs. Once it found a hole, it'd like bite the bark off till there was a hole, and use its finger down the hole and hook up the grub, pull it out and eat"
Chubbs started hooking into some stew to eat.

Avery Calder "Bye, Antony," he said to her when she stood up, and watched her leave. Avery had to agree with Emerwyn... it wasn't right, and it wasn't fair for them to be stuck on this island. At least they didn't get shipwrecked, though... that would have been worse. Even more people would have been stuck here. "Oh, see you later, Emerwyn," Avery murmured, hoping she was alright. It seemed like everyone was leaving. Avery figured he should go find his... duplex. Maybe it had a shower; at least he could wash up. Avery quickly ate the rest of his food and, when he was full, he looked over at Rex. "I'm going to go and try to find my duplex and have a shower. Maybe I'll catch you later, and we can talk about what you found out..." Avery stood up and took care of his plate and silverware before leaving the cafeteria, heading out to check out the upper duplexes in search of his own. (Gonna interject this just to finalize this rp, sorry) Rex was blown away by Antony's behavior. She wasn't being a thing like she'd been that night on the beach. This different Antony seemed grouchy and cynical, why wasn't she happy about not having to be wet, cold and hungry all the time. This housed life seemed like it would be much better than stuck in the jungle. Rex had learned to make the best of what you have, be be gracious for what you're given... or maybe Rex was just too optimistic. He sat quietly while she gathered her things then mouthed 'bye...' as she left. She was probably just having a bad day.
He listened attentively to Emerwyn's story, "Gosh Emerwyn, I'm so sorry... But a shipwreak? Thank god you're ali-" his sentence was stopped short as she collapsed on the table, but she recovered quickly, muttered something and stumbled out the door. "Err- Bye Emerwyn..." had she eaten anything? I hope she's all right.
"Yeah, you go get cleaned up, bud. I'll deffinately meet up with y'later, kay?" He smiled and came to his feet, "I'm in Duplex 35 if y'need me." He waved as Avery left, cleared his dishes and headed out of the duplex to go for a walk. Maybe he'd try to find Colche at the beach, he remembered her saying something about paddling and sand castles when she burst out of the cafeteria.(Wrap! Sorry for interupting.)

...Grubs ? GRUBS ?!? Suddently fish didn't seem so bad at all. What a thing to be told when one was eating.
"I- I don't think that's it." She managed after a moment. "I mean... I've had odd carvings for fish, not grubs." Thank god. "...And it seems I became cold-blooded... Well, that's what I've figured out by talking to the others... So some kind of monkey would be out of question, since they're not."

Chubbs nodded and tucked into some stew hungrily, then he blinked and looked to Kim. Did she really not know?
" So ya dunno what you are yet? I took a guess is all, I thought you'd know. But umm.. I'm sure people told ya you can ask the morons in the labs what they did to ya"
Chubbs began mopping up some stew in a breadroll. He tried to slow himself down, one not to be sick and two, not to look like a pig.

"Yep. Noooooooo idea. That's just lovely, uh ?" She paused to eat some rice. "And im not sure if I want to know... I mean, look how ******** up I am as is... I don't even LIKE fish, and it's all I've been eating the past few days... And I've just been acting so wierd lately." The asian girl sighed. "But I guess that can't be helped... I just hope it's me finally snapping after those two months of pure hell and that ill settle down soon."

Chubbs watched her eat her meal, he actually liked sushi, it was pretty good. He just could never afford it or felt it was filling enough.
" I had fish out in the river there, I actually dove in, not surprising theou, one of my animals likes catching it"
Chubbs thought about what he said for a moment and blinked, the thought came to him.
" Wait, you could be like me"

That comment caught her attention, resting her right hand on the table beside the plate, chopsticks still moving in her hands by what seemed to be a nervous habit. "One of your animals ?" Hasn't Cassidy said something about this... ? "...So they're really... mixing dnas ? I mean, I heard someone else tell me it might be the case with me as well... But I havn't been giving it much thought."
That was a lie - she seemed to be always thinking about it, the second her mind was not busy on some task. Going to sleep was the worst part. All she could do was stare at the celling and think about what ifs and what was happening, over and over...
"I don't know, really. It might... Might not. Im not sure if im ready to know."

Chubbs practically wiped his plate clean of stew with his bread roll. He wasn't full yet, he was getting his appetite back. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a packet of cigarettes and held it out.
" Ya smoke or mind if I?"
Relaxing in his chair, he tried to explain his situation.
" Well I'm one of those mixes. I ah... I asked the labs, I wanted to know if I was going to end up being a pig, you know, their funny joke at my size and all. Well turned out I got a bear, Tasmanian devil annd ah a wolverine. I still don't know how it's going to look in the end, but they are all pretty similar in a way, I don't think it will be that bad. The only problem I found is all three are like majorly aggressive and it's starting to show in me"

"I don't." She shrugged. "And I don't mind either, go ahead." Her hand started to move again, going to finish her rice.
"I wonder how they sleep at night sometimes. Really." She sighed. "For science... my a**, for science. No one should have to go trough something like this... yet we're all there. It's so... very odd. I don't like to think this was fate."

He placed a cigarette in his mouth and proceded to light it with the lighter he had. He took a deep puff and sighed, a smoke after a meal was bliss. He did think the people in the labs would all face his wrath in the end.
" I wouldn't worry so much, this place is doomed to failure. If ya believe in fate, then the fate of the island will be it will eventually screw up. I mean, look out the power outage, pretty much prooves my point."

"Yeah..." She couldn't help but agree with that... even if there had been... something wierd about that whole thing, now that she could step back and think about it. But she couldn't put her finger on it...
"It bothers me that it lasted as long as it did. I mean, two months ? For a power outage ? That's just... so odd. And why where all the duplex doors hooked to the power lines ? That bothers me for some reason..."

Chubbs tipped his ash in the soup bowl, having no ashtray. He thought bout what she said, but it made sense to him in the end.
" The place is a big prison really, what ever they have you think. Lab rats in a cage"
He took a deep puff again and blew the smoke out behind him as not to get it in Kim's direction.
" I just hope they aren't silly enough to come down here. I might have to show them why I had thirty nine knock outs"

"Ill'd much ratter see none of it happen... nothing personal." With how she's been reacting to tension lately, the last thing she needed was for someone else to come in here and start something. She gentely let the chopsticks down in the empty plate, pushing the whole away from her sightly, a little habit she had, before smiling a bit.
"Maybe I think too much. How am I supposed to calm down if I won't stop thinking about all this ? It's a bit silly."
