Elrohir looked sidewise at his traveling companions. He felt rather foolish - he should have been able to see or hear or feel someone following them.
His only sense of relief came with the fact that none of them had known about their tagalong either, and that they apparently knew who she was.

Actually when he really thought about it, he shouldn't have been so surprised to be honest. It was like she wasn't even there.

"Mia," Yue replied drly, "Is our little sister, she was adopted after Yukito and I," he paused for a moment wondering how he could explain the existence of someone like Mia, "Mia is.... unusual in her own way."
And down right creepy but it was hard to say that about one's little sister and mean that to be a good thing.

"Not to mention Mia is the type to push a person down the stairs and make it look like an accident," Donovan muttered under his breath, "I bet she overheard, there's very little she doesn't hear."
Well, that could be used to their advantage, it was just he knew Kara wouldn't be happy that Mia came along.

"Well then," Nadya murmured thoughtfully, "perhaps she could be of use on this trip after all. I assume that's why you have come."
She focused her eyes on Donovan, who she knew to be the more or less leader of the group, if only because of his position in the family. Behind him, she could see the child growing closer.

Well if she wanted unexplained accidents and people ending up in the loony bin sure it was fine to bring Mia along. Who knew, maybe in fright the guys they were looking for would run out into an oncoming horse and get trampled. They could claim suicide.
"Yea," Donovan murmured, "We track them, we hunt them and we get rid of them."

Them? Gion let go of Nadya's hand and brought his hands up to sign. Them who? What are you talking about?
His eyes were wide with worry. It was true, she had warned him that she would be going on a trip, but ... he hadn't known when, or with whom, or why.
He still didn't know why.

Nadya smiled reassuringly and brushed her fingers along Gion's cheek.
"The group who are tormenting your mother," she told him in a soft, soothing voice. "The men who killed Ulrich and Ulani's family, who you fought time and again. It's time they were stopped for good."
She paused and closed her eyes, turning her face towards the sky and searching through her memories and visions for something she felt she might have forgotten.
"They may also be the group who were responsible for your nephew's abduction all those years ago," she murmured.

"Daeron correct?" Yue inquired though it was a complete retorical question.
He mused on this thoughtfully, after all they still had to track the people down, he mused looking at Donovan.
"All of them organized together?" he raised a brow.

"What?" Donovan replied back, "They had to pay the hitmen somehow," he pointed out, "Hmm... it's possible, it's just like organized crime only with arrows instead of bullets, and swords are preferred," he added deadpanned.
He thought about it, it would make sense, after all this country was having a lot of trouble with these people. The fact that the slaver group was so large last time contest to that. It wasn't just a bunch of people taking advantage of a country randomly.
"Perhaps...." he mused, "It isn't such a bad idea Mia snuck along..."
Mia after all was originally created to be the perfect 'human' slave. Pretty and perfect and she looked young enough to be taken, and she would be smart and not do something like panick. He didn't even know panick was in her volcabuarly.

"Donovan," Triton spoke up, "It's Mia, you have to be kidding."
He knew what the older man was thinking, if the slavers were the lead then they would just have to find slavers. Slavers were easier (somewhat) to deal with than the people that went after him, Elnara and Gion those years ago.

"I said they may be possible that they were responsible for that as well," Nadya said quickly, quietly, before they all got carried away. "It is equally as possible that they may not be. I don't doubt that they also need to be taken care of, but we can give chase to only one group at a time."
A split focus was no focus, a complete loss both ways.

Gion's face darkened.
You're right, he signed up to her; then facing the others he added, Nadya has spoken to me of your need of her for this journey - but she won't be going alone. I will be coming with you.
A mirthless smile crossed his lips.
The Child Warrior will return to the forests.

"You?" he exclaimed. "You're the Hadorên?!"
The name that struck fear in the heart of any traveler, that made men loath to leave their home towns? Gion?
He couldn't believe it.
