"Well, I suppose that's possible. At least we'll be ready." She thought it would be nearly impossible to defeat someone like Lazarus, but she wasn't about to acknowledge that out loud. "I don't worry about much of anything, Kieth. You know that." She smirked at him with laughter in her eyes.

Jade made a face and ruffled his hair playfully. "Ick, Kieth. Do you have an Oedipus Complex or something?" she said, still smirking. "No, I'm just kidding..." she said, putting her hand lightly on his knee. She knew how much Kieth's mother had meant to him. "I'm honored that you say that." Her tone was serious and quiet. She looked into his eyes and her gaze was quite sincere.

Jade almost felt remorseful for having made such a joke. She hoped it had not hit him too hard. When he placed his hand on top of hers, she knew he was not angry with her. She smiled a little. "I know," she replied.

Lazarus, bored from waiting, entered a trance. Nightmarish visions and forbidden secrets soared through is mind as he sat silent in the chair. An aura of deep violet surrounded him and slight crackles of negative energy appeared every few seconds.

dread watched him and blinked"ok... your dreaming... so now what shall i do...? " he said bored, he opened his little gold lockey with a fancy dragon design on it and looked inside at the painting of a beautiful woamn that looked 35,, she was blonde and had blue eyes.... eyes that sparkled, the other side showed a painting of a young man, 12... he had short black hair and brown eyes, and a smile that showed he justwanted tio have fun, dread smiled and cred another tear

In an unusual act of compassion, Jade put a hand on his face. "I understand. You don't have to talk about it." She didn't know everything about Kieth's past, and she figured he would eventually tell her about it if the need arose, but for the time being she didn't mind.
