"Ah! Where did he come from!"
Gerbo cried out as the massive breaker charged at him. Gerbo reacted quickly though, and threw out his coin to summon the Mist Beast Misty. Then taking 1 mp from the party pool, Gerbo summoned a plume of giant mist to protect him and damage the attacking grinder while simultaneously casting a healing spell on himself as well, fully rejuvenating him.
(Gerbo: Dice for defense, MGM: Cast heal on self(7heal), Cast living mist on grinder to kill it.)
(Misty: Living mist and call mist on breaker)

Calling down the fury of the heavens, Firu smashes into the Grinders surrounding him, obliterating two, and then weakening the third before nearly ending it with a clean sword thrust into its chest. The last Grinder retaliates for a total of ten damage, still standing but badly wounded.
Gerbo gets hit twice for a total of 15 damage, but he is able to survive the assault intact, and takes out the Grinder that had helped make the round of combat so painful. He calls out his mist beast, which powers itself up and attempts to hit the Breaker but is easily pushed aside by the demon's strong defense.
In the next round, the Breaker continues alone to attempt to assault the gnome wizard.
Gerbo: 4/15 Life, 10 AP, 0 MP. Firu: 16/25 Life, 0 AP, 10 MP. (+3 Combat.) Mist Beast: 30/30 Life. (2 Attack, 2 Magic.)
Party pool: 3 AP, 3 MP.
Breaker: 30/30 Life. Firu's Grinder: 2.

After barley surviving the round with both of the creatures assaulting poor Gerbo, He knew it would be no problem to take the creature on now. With a quick flash of bluish light, Gerbo had healed himself. With a quick look over to the mist beast Gerbo spoke,
"Ok then Misty! lets Take this guy out! You with me?"
The Mist beast made a noise that resembling a iron blowing out steam.
"Ok then! Mist Magic Combo Attack!"
"VRRRRTTTTTTTT"
The both screamed as the entire brawl was immersed into a dense fog.
(Gerbo: Use 1 mp from Party pool for MGM, 1 Heal on myself, and 1 Living Mist on breaker, Dice for Defense) (Misty: Call misty and living mist on Breaker, Attack Breaker)

Firu ends the Grinder with one last attack, again getting hit by its Shield Bash and Vindictive, but at last freeing him up to take out the Breaker attacking his friend.
Gerbo heals himself, and along with his Mist Beast casts Living Mist on the Breaker that is attacking him. The Breaker averts being minorly scratched by the combined assault by throwing up a spell block at Gerbo's spell, and hits Gerbo for seven damage, bringing the gnome right back to where he started the round. The Mist Beast attacks the Breaker, but the demon's defenses are too strong for it to penetrate.
Gerbo: 4/15 Life, 11 AP, 0 MP. Firu: 11/25 Life, 0 AP, 11 MP. (+3 Attack, +3 Combat.) Mist Beast: 30/30 Life. (4 Attack, 4 Magic.)
Party pool: 3 AP, 3 MP.
Breaker: 30/30 Life.

(You forgot the 2 blocked from Living mist i think.... let me check the math here.. Started with 4HP+7 from heal. so now its 11. I rolled a 3+2def+2 from living mist stops 7 damage total. You rolled 8+5attack=13. 13-7=5 damage total. 5-11=6, not 4)
"Ouchums!"
Gerbo cried as the beast hit him again.
"Well then, lets try that one more time shall we Misty?"
"VVVRRRRTTTTT!!!"
(MGM; use 1 MP from party pool, Heal on myself (7) and living mist (dmg7,block 2), Dice for defense, Attack breaker for team attack +1) (Misty: Living mist and Call mist (A-6/M-6), and attack Breaker for team up +6)

(Indeed you are right, I totally forgot about your LM. Though the 8 was for the this round, so you start the round at six not four life.)
Gerbo heals himself under the Breaker's assault, then stabs back at it while getting hit himself. The Breaker manages to do eleven damage this round, though Gerbo manages to stop three of the damage, allowing himself to survive handily. Meanwhile he and his Mist Beast hit it for a total of thirteen magic damage this round, necessitating another Spell Block from the demon.
The Mist Beast, Gerbo, and Firu team up on the Breaker for a hefty teamup attack value of 17, allowing for enough bonus damage alone to drop the demon to the ground.
BATTLE END.
Gerbo: 5/15 Life, 12 AP, 0 MP. Firu: 16/25 Life, 1 AP, 12 MP.
Party pool: 4 AP, 3 MP.
"Alright, that's enough here, let's get to the tertiary holding point!" the sergeant orders his squad after appraising that the recent assault you had helped fend off had cost him more men. They retreat back through the main hall and into another side hall.
The hall seems clear for now. Your friend motions for you to follow, and he leads you down the hall. "This should be..." he says as he attempts to force open a heavy set of double doors ten feet tall and wide. With a shoulder push he forces it open, opening the doors to a vast hangar. "There we go," he says proudly. There is one airship sitting there. "The Albatross, the most impressive piece of engineering yet designed."
The hangar doors appear closed, but there seems to be a mechanism that opens them to the outside. The Albatross itself looks like it was made to be crewable by even a single skilled pilot if times were dire enough, so you two think you could manage competently enough so long as you weren't attacked.

"At last! The Albatross is here! Quick Firu! Jump up and man whatever weaponry they have on board! Aim it at the key entry points! it may take me a second to start this thing up!"
Gerbo said as he ran up to the operator controll booth. Seeing the multitude of gagets, switches, blinking lights, levers, gears, and buttons, Gerbo only had to peer over it for a second before understanding it all...
"Ok, starting internal aether drives... Out put 20%... Check. Inigtion of combustion booster enigines... check! Impliment auto take off proceedures... Done! Ok Firu, the systems are still booting up! lets hold this place until we can leave!"
Gerbo then turns to the Wizard that helped them.
"Is there anything else we can do then? Hop on board! We'll get you out of here, that is unless you are still planning on teleporting out of here!"

Gerbo, after waiting for a few moments noticed that the hangar doors were still closed.
"Firu take the helm! I'll go unwind the mechanism for the doors!"
Gerbo then went over and activated the controlls.

The doors slowly, surely crank open upon being activated by Gerbo. When he gets back to the Albatross, the mage replies to him: "Once we're clear of this bunker I'll be able to teleport to safety, but for now..." and with that he helps you to make the final preparations for the launch of the Albatross.
The airship's defenses appear to be quite interesting. There is a forward-firing magic-enhancing gun that takes a spell cast into it at the gunbay, amplifies the power, and can be used to attack very large, unmaneuverable targets. There are also several circles on the ground a few feet in diameter that, when stepped on, lift you more than a dozen feet into the air. You feel stabilized to the bottom of the new platform; you have total freedom of movement on it, yet like you cannot fall or be knocked off. You also feel as though the force of your blows, and your ki energy, can be directed to any point in your line of sight, not just where your blade ends up.
You set the Albatross into the air, flying out of the underground bunker and picking up altitude. Behind you you can already see a few breaches in the city's wall, brown demons hammering through those openings and setting to work making more.
"Thank you for your assistance, you two," the mage says. "You have more than earned this airship." He shakes both of your hands. "Never let it be said though that Archmagus Jefroy is tightfisted with his allies, however." He hands Gerbo a token, but speaks to both of you: "Whenever you are clear of here, you can use that token to teleport to, then back from, one of my spare storage chambers. I'm sure you'll find some of the things I've squirreled away quite helpful. The token will disappear after the first use, so make sure you take everything on your trip."
He steps over to be separate from you. "Anyway, I need to take the crystal far from here. Good luck on your journey!" With that, he teleports away. You have the open sky before you: what is your destination?

(Second star to the right and straight on till morning! Heh heh you left that one wide open lol )
Well Gerbo I say we get a safe distance form the falling citty, bring this ship to a stop and take him up on that offer to teleport into one of his storage room and see what he has to offer. Then once we are back aboard our new ship we can set about getting out of here and back where we belong. What do you say?
