My Hollow Gravechylde My Hollow Gravechylde My Hollow I thinking more on the lines of Rainshadow, Mortal Love, and other doom bands that are a little lighter than that. Yeah, I think we have a different view of what mellow is. I'm thinking of it as being laidback/relaxed/care-free/etc. Something you'd listen to on a nice sunny day to just kickback and relax. Well I was connecting this too the idea I think we was getting at in the Praise them thread. I think he wanted soft metal, not nesseccarily kick-back music. He was just wanting to know what mellow meant. He wanted mellow bands. Relating to the song he was reffering to by Darkssed. I go the impression that a few of the bands you listed are not exactly what was in mind. i really dont care about that song anymore , but your definitions of mellow r different like hell , how i am supposed to know what mellow is if u two try to tell me what it is at the same time gonk

I was saying mellow as a general statement, but she said she was focusing on the kind of style that discussion was about.

I heard a doom influence from what I heard on their myspace. So I went to MA to get a second opinion and it said that they moved to electronic. So, Place them in the Doom subforum and call it a day.

Progressive yeah, but the doom plays a biiger role within their music.

Quick question, would there be something like Horror Metal? I hear someone say once that King Diamond's music was classified as that.

Diety of Disgust Quick question, would there be something like Horror Metal? I hear someone say once that King Diamond's music was classified as that. There's no such thing as Horror Metal, it's more of a theme than a genre. King Diamond is Heavy Metal, and there's already a thread for both KD and MF in that subforum.

Thronar claims to be battle metal and Battleheart (or also known as Alestorm) claims to be pirate metal. Doesn't make these things so.

I'm pretty damn sure Acid Bath and Old Man Gloom are sludge metal, but I don't see a sub-forum for it... Does this mean I get to make one? mrgreen
