Nice to make all of your acquaintances.
I am a steampunk from Michigan, quite the challenge with our weather, who has been suffering along with this summer heat. I'm not too good of a tinker, but I do have a passion for taking things apart and breaking them worse ah..putting them back together.
I've known about steampunk for the better half of the year and finally decided to initiate my wardrobe with a nudge in the right direction. My sewing skills are lacking and funds tight, but I am making due. heart
Feel free to call me either Anhy or by my real name Sasha, either works but the first is easier to remember.

Hello Everyone,
I'm Lilia, Lili or Lea, whichever you'd prefer to call me. I'm usually very frank and to the point so I'll keep this short.
I'm an artist, and interested in costume design as well as jewelry making. I've just recently learned about steampunk, but have been interested in similar styles over the last four years or so.
Jersey is my home, though soon I'll be moving to Savannah for a spell, I love history and traveling to Europe, especially Venice.

Greetings, dear Steampunk fans. I've started being interested in Steampunk culture a few months ago when I stumbled upon the Steampunk fashion thread. I am more of a "fandom is only a hobby" kind of lady, not only for academic reasons, but also because my sewing and tinkering abilities are nearly inexistant... My steampunk character is Martha Laffurty McCoiler, a furry test subject. Yes, I am also a furry fan. Another thing I should say about me is that English isn't my mother language and that I am a lot of a lurker. That does not mean I cannot write in a decent English, but I am usually quiet and shy. Thanks for accepting me in the guild. I hope we will meet each other at tea time.

Good day, evening or night, depending upon when and where you are reading this!
I only heard of all of this steam-ey goodness a few months ago, but I was designing (and occasionally actually making, when I can afford fabric) Victorian-inspired punk-ish clothes for myself and friends for a few years before I heard of Steampunk.
I adore sewing and designing clothing, especially history-inspired costumes and such, though I am not terribly good at complicated things just yet. I also love reading, cooking, snowboarding, dancing, and making all kinds of crafty things. My true passion in life is horses though! I don't own my own horse now, but hopefully will in the near future. My dream of late is to compete in a costume class at a horse show with my horse and I in steampunky costumes!
As you may have guessed by now, I can be rather long-winded in my posts. I'm just a talker, I guess.
Tata for now, lovely new (to me) guild!

I'm persimon, from the Sandwich Isles. I love victorian/neo-victorian fashion like Steampunk and Lolita. I'm a pretty crafty person as well, so I really admire all the beautiful machines and accessories people make.
and... umm, intro... ^^;;

Hello, My name is Melissa and I've just recently figured out that what I've liked to read and wear was called steampunk. (Doesn't that seem to happen to everyone?) I'm more of a book worm than anything and I'm currently reading some books by Phillip Reeve and China Mieville.
I hope to learn more about the style and gain some more knowledge on the steampunk world. ^-^

Greetings and salutations. I'm from Michigan (I live very close to Ahny in fact) I recently became involved in Steampunk, coming from and blend of folk-punk and crust punk I'm well used to the DIY aspects. I enjoy tinkering, and modifying items to fit my will, including clothes (being a punk I've learned to hand sew)

Greetings everyone! From the above posts, it seems like the mjority of steampunkers are crafty and/or can draw. I'm in that boat too, but am so far testing my ability on smaller subjects. Why, just last week I freed several microchips of their pesky thrift-store-watchy-prisons and fastened them upon hairclips!
I reside in the south of England, and in my final year of schooling to be a landscape archaeologist. I've been dressing in good part like this for the majority of my life (sans goggles) but didn't know the name until just a few months ago.
Call me Amy biggrin

Hello everyone! First of all, thanks for existing. I'm newly into the steampunk style and Victorian era and have found it very interesting. However, I've always know of its existence, and always been very found of it, it's not until now I've actually dug deeper into the subject. My skills is in web designing. Many of the sites I've created are steampunk like although, none of them are currently up and running. Right now my recent creations have been very futuristic. I'll make sure to notify this guild when I've made a new0 creation, hehe. I also have some skills photoshop:ing so if you need anything of the sort I'll be around. Also, I've never used my skill in a way to earn gold on gaia. I just tend to do stuff for free after gaining people's trust.
See you around, glad to be here.

Hello strangers. My name is Jenn. I'm from California. I just recently developed a liking for steampunk art and fashion. By recently I mean the past 6 or so months. At the time I was commissioned to make some stuff for a friend and I just sort of fell in love with it after that. I really like the sculptural aspect of it all. I've learned the basics of steampunk but I'm definitely interested in gaining a more indepth knowledge.
