"Becareful about staying on the fence. Either one side or the other owns it, and you have to be careful." He sips some more of his beer and smiles.
"I'm not trying to push you into anything, you understand. I have just been wondering the same things you have. Occassionally, I will find that I want to know the true authority of the government. Is it the military? The police? If these are the true sources of the government's authority, then it is a government of fear, and no better then the dictatorships."
He paused, for emphasis, then continued, "However, if the true authority of the government is the protection and rewards we offer, then I believe it is a better system. Not to say that some don'tl fear the police and military, mind you, people will always fear them."
He was starting to ramble. He obviously couldn't hold his alcohol very well. Especially since he only had about half the mug.

"hai, hai. I just need to make sure i dont expose myself as a fence rider. Besides, im like a historian during action. Always trying to understand things and settle it through talks. Afterall, majority of conflicts can be settled down in a simple understanding talk. In my opinion, War takes place sometimes when both side is correct from different results." He stops and drinks some of his juice to quinch his thirst.

"Ah, 'On Who's Authority?' is a good question. There was a book i read that talked about this. The authority sometimes rests on people's acceptance. If the people find that the Police is strong and has control, then there is a good chance the Police will gain prestige and be a reigning faction of teh government. Then all resource might head in the ways of the police and support them and keeping the civilians happy. Vice versa with the military, religion, and etc."
"I may understand why people would fear something or so. It was noted down in history that it is better to be feared then loved. When loved, the ambitious ones would do anything to take advantage of the weakness. But on a second case, while being feared, you must also be kind. Otherwise, you would only frighten them to the point where you will begin losing support."
"Thats about all i know on that matter... "
Thrie looks toward the door as he heard a question. "Hrm?... Cant miss someone i dont know." He turns back toward the bar.
Then, suddenly hops off the stool and sprints over to Lindy glomping her. "Hhaaa! where have you been!?"

~indrid, while very.. very enebriated, turns to the two new people~ "Fear this, oh my, what shall we do?" Do you really think thats how civilians are? Civilians, the only thing they're interested in is working within' the system. To stay content under a false sense of security. Soon they will realize that there is no such thing as security. Even with your precious government running things. Y'wanna know why I took my guild and decided to go out on my own? Because we can get things done a hellova lot faster. There is no time to wait through all of the red tape. We don't have to wait for 5 people to get their asses online in order to make a decision. Yeah, the government offers protection alright, if your willing to wait two weeks to attack while another country is already bombing you.~gets up and stumbles a bit~ You shall all know the true power of the MRSF! ~falls on Gold~ Oi.. I think I need a drink...

*carries indrid outside and to the waiting cab then opens the door and sets him inside*
ok sir i want you to drink a glass of 3 parts orange juice and 2 parts coffee and 2 parts tomatoe juice mixed together when you get back to the base then take a cold shower and go take a nap.
*hands indrid a bottle of Japanese sake and a garbage bag*
capie take him straight back to the MRDF base and don't stop anywere else he asks you to ok?
*hands the cabbies $50*

*walks back inside as the cabie drives off and then gold continues to drink orange soda and eat a turkey sandwiches once he gets back to his chair*

Bolt looked away from the odd people back at Thrie, confused, "What was that all about?" sweatdrop
He shook his head and turned towards the bar. Quietly he said, "What is the problem with society today?" He's starting to sound pretty influenced by the alcohol he drinks, yet the lok on his face gives the appearance of pain. He raises his glass as if toasting to some imaginary person, then tipped the mug up into his mouth. With a long series of gulps, he slammed the mug onto the bar, with a broad grin replacing the solemn look he just had.
